I've been in the snow removal business for 30 years, and I think Toro is really on to something there, with this multiattatcment machine, it's so versatile, and the maneuverability of the plow attachment combined with the hydraulic controls is absolutely awesome, great video Stan!!

Hey Stan! Great video. I’m glad you did a video on the Multiforce. I have one and this winter is my first winter on it. It took about 2-3 snow events to get used to the controls, but once i had it done oh boy was I going fast. I ended up putting tire chains over the snow tires and wheel weights to give it more traction. Because I live in northwestern ontario up in Canada (about 4 hours from Duluth btw), we get a ton of snow up here (like 4-5 feet each winter). And the chains helped a lot, but in my opinion for most guys who are going to be using it in the states the traction will be just fine for the amount of snow they got. I decided to go with the Multiforce instead of a plow on my truck because I didnt want to deal with the extra maintenance and insurance costs of plow trucks. Overall, I am very pleased with my unit, and I recommend them to anyone who is on the fence. I had my doubts when I bought it but I wasn’t disappointed!!!
i priced one here and it was exspensive comaring to the 14.5hp dr field and brush mower with ,lawnmower,blade,blower,chipper,brush hog attachments are $5,898 for 5 in 1 multipurpose
@@LAKESIDEBOB1 I imagine you could just use heated liners for motorcycle riders plugged into the DC port. That gear will make you sweat at 60mph in the mid 30s outside riding with it on medium. Pretty cheap version at cycle gear too.
I live right by Erie Pennsylvania and we get a lot of snow here as well just because you are farther north don't always mean you get more snow. We measure it in feet also. We get a lot of lake effect snow.
I've never ran one but from this video is looks like the Ultimate machine for residential properties. The only issues I'd see is pissing everyone off at 3am for how loud it is and you'll have some frozen operators at the end of the night. Otherwise that machine out performed my expectations
If they are also shoveling those entrance walks and a little smaller driveways. It might be about the right balance. We picked up a Snowrator this year and are trying to figure out it’s strengths. Maybe the Toro is a good step 1: shovel walks and fist “plow” pass out and away from the garages along with faster transportation between units.
It probably has a extra add on for another hefty price for a heated cab 😂 JK. by the time you add broom plow smaller plow, and any other add on. This thing could get pricy.. oh I forgot the led lights and side blinker. All seriousness its pretty cool machine.

Snowcaster is my go to. Unless there's more than 3 in, and then I use a snowblower. For the detail work I have a true temper aluminum with steel edge. Great content as usual. Love your channel.
I'm in Richfield and using this setup for the first winter. I love this machine. I do a couple churches with lots of sidewalks. I use it to cut curbs and light poles. Then we do the neighborhood accounts wit it. It scrapes better than my back drag. One draw back so far is the sidewalks are built up now and I can't get over the top. So they are getting skinnier. The cold is the other. But I went from needing 3 people to do the walks to just one. I believe someone could start a business with this machine. We fight over it
Have you considered using heated motorcycle gear? Cycle gear has a in house brand that's pretty cheap for heated liners and it's kept me warm (high will make you sweat on the highway easily) riding motorcycles at 60+ when it's 30 out.
Lived in northern Michigan snow belt my whole life, have had years with 350” total. I know my way around a snow shovel (don’t know if that’s a good thing). Best snow shovel i have is “the snowplow, original snow pusher” shovel. Comes in 24”,36”, and 48”. If your only getting 2” maybe 3” I use the 48”, i can make quick work of my driveway with it. Once the lake snow really kicks in I switch to the blower and if I need a shovel at that point I use an old coal shovel. The snowpusher shovels are great for cleaning off the ice rink too. Above all they are made in the USA.

When i use to do snow removal i always used a grain shovel.they are like a scoop shovel but all 1 piece lite weight and does not brake.also we used something like the man plow but little different it was a 2.5-3ft plastic plow that is angled with a wheels and a loop handle that flips direction
I own several Toro pieces of lawn equipment my favorite being my Wheel horse 8-25. That being said Toro seems like a great company to work with and the content they provide to you for us is also top notch. Can't wait to get more of their stuff my myself!
Andy u do realize that the only reason why he uses them is because he's been bought our by toro to use them. Toro ships him free equipment on a regular basis whereas the rest of us would be buying that same machine not to mention that when he does his videos he fails to toss in fact that the equipment is sponsoring his videos. Little loophole he's been failing to acknowledge in his videos but he often times admits that toro has given him machinery like his toro 6000, it was a $14,000.00 just outright given to him but he did not disclose it on his utube channel... so when u see him running that equipment some of ut has been given to him - ask urself if he would be in the same position with equipment If he had to buy all that equipment - probably not...
I don't know how other people do it but I test ALL BRANDS, all equipment and show what it can and Can't do. Companies CAN"T PAY me to change how their machines work. So consequently some companies WON'T WORK with me. But many do- and normally what that says is they are confident enough in their equipment to not worry about how it performs. They send me what they know WORKS!
Boy your pretty fast learner on that their new machine. Amazing how you can pick that control work up so fast, looks like it works very good cleans to the concrete .
Love the machine bought one for my landscape company in fall of 2020 so second winter using it. Has great manuverability in tight spaces has cut are commercial sidewalk and residential snow crews day by 2-3 hours and after a 10-11 hour day they are happy to avoid the last 3! We did have to go to the 4' snow plow to fit on residential side walks and one down side is they need to make a quick coupler for the lower hydrologic connection you loss half the hydrologic oil in the change over from mower to plow this may have changed on the 2021-22 model year. We also are going to look into if they have a front weight kit are PA sleet and ice storms have proven twice now to lift the plow up instead of cutting through thank you for your review it's nice to see someone else give thoughts and opinions on the multi force
Also you asked about price point 12,400 for 60'' inch mower deck 52" would be less and around 4,000 for all the plow set up as I said we spent 230 extra for the 4 ft boss plow. But much has changed in 2 years!
Depends on what I'm shoveling, the pusher flat blades work nice for powder, but for somewhat packed or ice layer snow the worn out cheap shovels work good especially when they wear in a point it gets under the ice and breaks it out
Poly pro scoop shovel is my favorite, then a transfer shovel that’s metal, and fir light snow, a the snowplow pusher shovel. In the mountains, we normally get a ton of deep snow, so it’s really a blower game, and a lifting game, since you can’t really “plow” a foot+ of snow.
I bought a Snowcaster wheeled snow pusher, and really love it. It is angled like a plow and is very light, yet durable. Not the best for heavy/wet/deep snow., but great for everything else.
@@Dirtmonkey I saw they came out with a heavier duty one with a more durable plastic for the cutting edge, and its such a simple design I think it may last quite long with a metal handle and durable plastic blade and support
I’d say 4” or less this is pretty useful. As a sidewalk machine as well. However if I’m assuming correctly on the price you’re better off in a skid steer with a plow you’d have those drives done in 2.5 mins tops. Skids also useful year round too. If you only do lawn care and snow though this could be helpful. If you have a skid steer though probably not the move.
What thickness of UHMW did you go with? I’ve done a bunch of 1/4 thickness * 2”. It seams a little heavy. @Stanley “Dirt Monkey” Genadek I love my 27” inch ergonomic double bender (custom old school bend) for my height, aluminum handle, soft D handle shovels for the lighter fluffy snows. For the heavy snows I grab a skinnier double bend shovel. For the really light fluffy lake effects snow I go the the 48” straight handle on the open areas we hand shovel.
That is definitely a all year machine, I'm impressed with how well it did. I was expecting it to work fine in a couple inches of snow but really struggle in the snow you were using it in. In a tight subdivision like that it seems to me like it would work well working it with the pickup where you clean the driveways with the Toro and push the snow into the street then use the pickup to pile it up. Plus the snow broom would be great for sidewalks
Looks like a pretty good machine. Even did pretty well in the traction department. Maybe you will get a heavy snow to try it out in and see how it does there. I was even impressed with the back dragging it did.

They are using the Multiforce at their big commercial property and it seems like it does really well getting snow out and away from the curb and is also perfect for sidewalk clearing from what I have seen on their videos.
So in my opinion there great they work awesome the issue is getting them there it’s such a pain to tow in nasty storms so like for my company we have a huge condo we keep two of them there all winter that works great but if you have to tow it around like spencer does it really becomes a pain definitely for us because 90% of are trucks we have salters on and the trucks without salters have drag plows but if you can leave it where your using it there great
Spencer is only using toro because he was bought out by Toro and Kohler Co... he's even been given vacations at the cost of those companies. Ask him how many machines were given to him for free, his company would be no where near what it is today if he didn't get those handouts, the rest of us have to build our company from scratch, luckily for me I have the 30 years of experience where I learned from my mistakes and what wors and what doesn't Spencer has had his whole operation handed to him on a silver plate including the software on how to even run his company.

If I have to manually clear a driveway with New England snow I would have a snow scoop. Grain shovels are good for deep snow on walkways or just banks, a pusher shovel is good for small storms. I have a plow on my truck for customer driveways, I use a tractor snowblower on mine and my neighbors. I had a tractor plow, it was by far the most fun and quick, but I ran out of room after a couple big storms and bought the blower. Now I only use it early season then after mounting the blower it stays until spring. I have the plow as backup, and now also have a broom. I only used the broom on snow once just to see, I’ve used my backpack blower 3 times for light small storms. The broom is for removing sand from lawns in the spring.
I enjoyed watching you i just got a fourwheeler and i welded and bilt a snow blade for it have never owed snow with a four wheeler excited for it to snow so i can plow my drive way and tey it i think it will be fun beings though i love to ride my fourwheeler im retired and have lots of time to plow ride and enjoy my fourwheeler thanks for the channel fun to watch you
With that amount of snow it looks like the back dragging only works for a short distance before too much gets pulled up behind the blade. But with these units you almost have to and can change your approach to clearing a residential driveway. Just back drag enough to get this smaller unit turned around to plow the snow forward away from the garage. Or turn 90 degrees and plow towards the sides of the driveway. You can't do that last one with even a small truck. Just wish the price wasn't through the roof.
Looks like a decent snow mover. I can see some very cold operators who are grumpy as hell, within a few hours of use. Definitely best as a residential unit.
The Multi Force performs phenomenal in the winter. However the constant exposure to moisture and salt starts to present issues in the summer when cutting grass.
Thanks for taking the time to film this review! It definitely did much better than I expected! One thing I noticed the blade appeared to have some down force while you were back blading does it push down? Another surprise was the amazing traction it had. If you mentioned it I didn’t hear, what size and brand of engine does it have and do they offer engine options? I believe this would be very cost efficient to anyone who has Condominium contacts and HOA’s or 10 or 15 or more back to back driveways no insurance no registration much less fuel expense than any truck available! Yes I enjoy the comfort of a warm truck and soft seat too, but I enjoy spending less money to do the same job which in turn would make me more money just have to layer up with too pair of long john’s a snow suit a good thermal hat and good pair of snow gloves and I think the extra money earned is worth the discomfort. As for wet and heavier snow as long as the engine has the power to push snow chains ⛓ will keep you going. They do have down pressure. It will lift the front wheels off the ground. Some people use this to transfer more weight to the back giving you more traction.
Stan reviewed a home built version of mower last winter. It was a Outlaw mower with a Boss XT plow that was built really well. Looks like this company "borrowed" his idea and made a smaller, less robust model. Smaller but still pretty capable, impressive 👍
That's a great new tool it would be better with hand warmers a like you said Stan chains would be a great addition better yet if you could get the tires studded then that would move some snow love the videos keep them coming
Interesting competition, 8’ blade verses 5’ blade. Yet it still kept up. Nice machine for sidewalks, driveways, and tight areas. Would be interesting to see this thing on that apartment complex you service and there are a lot of things to get around.
I use a lighter duty shovel similar to the man plow, but made of plastic, fits my sidewalk width perfectly. Anything more than an 1" I breakout the Toro 1028OXE, because I love to send the snow across the street.
It did better than I thought it would especially when you back dragging and all the snow was under it I thought you were going to be stuck I like that the plow comes up high you can really pile the snow up yeah I would like to have it in Pennsylvania on my jobs
Stan the only snow shovel I like is the one someone else is using .I like heat that’s why I bought my Bobcat S70 last year I loved cab run a 36” bucket for sidewalks and a 60” for open areas. Toro a nice machine though 👍
favorite shovel = when i was 14 i was in JA and for our project we made snow shovels they look like the old style ones but with a twist they have a oak handle and a titanium blade. the 2 i have still look new and are 38 yrs old. the only thing i did was replace the bolts holding the blade to the handle with stainless. these shovels are mean they just need a squirt of pam & they are good all season.
Would buy one in a heartbeat if they made a 36” model. Being in a dense and tight residential area, a 36” option for the deck and mulch bucket would be a game changer. Could have wider tires in the winter time as well for added traction, doesn’t have to be less than 36” wide in the winter since it’s not going through gates.
Each of those led light pods cost $150 lol. We got one of these this year (sans lights) and it's been awesome for sidewalks, and just framing out tight areas.
That machine is good for certain situations like sideways and small driveways but I think I could out work it with my truck in larger areas. Also think you would run out of stacking space over time with the smaller plow and it's ability to stack snow. But overall I think it isn't too bad a machine. You can stack snow anywhere, your not limited to the ends of the driveway. It actually rides up on the pile once it’s frozen. The agility makes this it’s most unique feature. In bigger spaces a truck will crush it. I have both.
The machine did much better at plowing than I thought it would. Side note: The Minneapolis Airport maintenance department uses the commercial Toro stand-on self propelled sprayer/spreaders (they look similar to the machine in this video) for spraying liquid deicer (E36) and spreading granular deicer (not salt) on the ramp near the airplane gates and around all the ground support equipment (tight areas) where the large 4000 gallon deicer trucks can't get into. The guys at the airport call those little Toro machines their "Secret Weapons".
If they had a loader bucket I would be definitely wanting one. But my favorite piece of equipment stay in his used shown whatever is the erkey jerky worky quad
We just had the blizzard of "22" here in New England 24+". My site we used lawn mower with a plow attachment (manual lift and angle). I like this Toro for the lift feature. Would have spead up our times considerably. Shoveler would push a foot or two away from building, mower/plow next couple of feet, then I would push rest into the piles. That would get single parking spaces nicely. Going to try and recommend to my company. How much are they? Wish I could multiple thumbs up. 👍👍👍👍👍here you go.

You guys get a average of 213cm and we get 256.5 on average so we get more snow it's a fact.

Its basically the same controls as the lawnmowers. easy to pick up fast.

Cool handplow/snowshovel at the beginning. I live in tennessee and we usually don't get much snow. This year has been different.
Seems like a lot of snow this year where their normally isn't much.
Love the machine bought one for my landscape company in fall of 2020 so second winter using it. Has great manuverability in tight spaces has cut are commercial sidewalk and residential snow crews day by 2-3 hours and after a 10-11 hour day they are happy to avoid the last 3! We did have to go to the 4' snow plow to fit on residential side walks and one down side is they need to make a quick coupler for the lower hydrologic connection you loss half the hydrologic oil in the change over from mower to plow this may have changed on the 2021-22 model year. We also are going to look into if they have a front weight kit are PA sleet and ice storms have proven twice now to lift the plow up instead of cutting through thank you for your review it's nice to see someone else give thoughts and opinions on the multi force
Also you asked about price point 12,400 for 60'' inch mower deck 52" would be less and around 4,000 for all the plow set up as I said we spent 230 extra for the 4 ft boss plow. But much has changed in 2 years!
Looks like a homelite tractor with a plow on it. I loved that in the 80's.
I like the "Snow Plow" shovels. Yellow handle and white poly blade... have a 2 ft, 3 ft, and 4 ft version for different kinds of events

Depends on what I'm shoveling, the pusher flat blades work nice for powder, but for somewhat packed or ice layer snow the worn out cheap shovels work good especially when they wear in a point it gets under the ice and breaks it out

Poly pro scoop shovel is my favorite, then a transfer shovel that’s metal, and fir light snow, a the snowplow pusher shovel. In the mountains, we normally get a ton of deep snow, so it’s really a blower game, and a lifting game, since you can’t really “plow” a foot+ of snow.
I bought a Snowcaster wheeled snow pusher, and really love it. It is angled like a plow and is very light, yet durable. Not the best for heavy/wet/deep snow., but great for everything else.
Ive seen those. They seem pretty light for commercial work I think
@@Dirtmonkey I saw they came out with a heavier duty one with a more durable plastic for the cutting edge, and its such a simple design I think it may last quite long with a metal handle and durable plastic blade and support
I’d say 4” or less this is pretty useful. As a sidewalk machine as well. However if I’m assuming correctly on the price you’re better off in a skid steer with a plow you’d have those drives done in 2.5 mins tops. Skids also useful year round too. If you only do lawn care and snow though this could be helpful. If you have a skid steer though probably not the move.

For snow shovels, I riveted UHMW wear strips onto two of my shovels and they're incredibly long lasting.

What thickness of UHMW did you go with? I’ve done a bunch of 1/4 thickness * 2”. It seams a little heavy.
@Stanley “Dirt Monkey” Genadek I love my 27” inch ergonomic double bender (custom old school bend) for my height, aluminum handle, soft D handle shovels for the lighter fluffy snows. For the heavy snows I grab a skinnier double bend shovel. For the really light fluffy lake effects snow I go the the 48” straight handle on the open areas we hand shovel.

That is definitely a all year machine, I'm impressed with how well it did. I was expecting it to work fine in a couple inches of snow but really struggle in the snow you were using it in. In a tight subdivision like that it seems to me like it would work well working it with the pickup where you clean the driveways with the Toro and push the snow into the street then use the pickup to pile it up. Plus the snow broom would be great for sidewalks

Looks Great, Think the Snow Blower may work quicker, but with a box Blade on the front of it to pull the snow to the blower.
Looks like a pretty good machine. Even did pretty well in the traction department. Maybe you will get a heavy snow to try it out in and see how it does there. I was even impressed with the back dragging it did.

They are using the Multiforce at their big commercial property and it seems like it does really well getting snow out and away from the curb and is also perfect for sidewalk clearing from what I have seen on their videos.

So in my opinion there great they work awesome the issue is getting them there it’s such a pain to tow in nasty storms so like for my company we have a huge condo we keep two of them there all winter that works great but if you have to tow it around like spencer does it really becomes a pain definitely for us because 90% of are trucks we have salters on and the trucks without salters have drag plows but if you can leave it where your using it there great
Spencer is only using toro because he was bought out by Toro and Kohler Co... he's even been given vacations at the cost of those companies. Ask him how many machines were given to him for free, his company would be no where near what it is today if he didn't get those handouts, the rest of us have to build our company from scratch, luckily for me I have the 30 years of experience where I learned from my mistakes and what wors and what doesn't Spencer has had his whole operation handed to him on a silver plate including the software on how to even run his company.

I use one of these setup the same almost everytime it snows for commercial sidewalks.
If I have to manually clear a driveway with New England snow I would have a snow scoop. Grain shovels are good for deep snow on walkways or just banks, a pusher shovel is good for small storms.
I have a plow on my truck for customer driveways, I use a tractor snowblower on mine and my neighbors. I had a tractor plow, it was by far the most fun and quick, but I ran out of room after a couple big storms and bought the blower. Now I only use it early season then after mounting the blower it stays until spring. I have the plow as backup, and now also have a broom. I only used the broom on snow once just to see, I’ve used my backpack blower 3 times for light small storms. The broom is for removing sand from lawns in the spring.

I use a shovel called the “snowplow”. More of a pusher than a traditional shovel. They are built great and work even better.
I enjoyed watching you i just got a fourwheeler and i welded and bilt a snow blade for it have never owed snow with a four wheeler excited for it to snow so i can plow my drive way and tey it i think it will be fun beings though i love to ride my fourwheeler im retired and have lots of time to plow ride and enjoy my fourwheeler thanks for the channel fun to watch you

With that amount of snow it looks like the back dragging only works for a short distance before too much gets pulled up behind the blade. But with these units you almost have to and can change your approach to clearing a residential driveway. Just back drag enough to get this smaller unit turned around to plow the snow forward away from the garage. Or turn 90 degrees and plow towards the sides of the driveway. You can't do that last one with even a small truck. Just wish the price wasn't through the roof.
Same thing I do with my mini skid. Back drag 10 feet then turn around and push
Looks like a decent snow mover. I can see some very cold operators who are grumpy as hell, within a few hours of use. Definitely best as a residential unit.
The Multi Force performs phenomenal in the winter. However the constant exposure to moisture and salt starts to present issues in the summer when cutting grass.
Only issue I’ve had since 2018 is rust

Thanks for taking the time to film this review! It definitely did much better than I expected! One thing I noticed the blade appeared to have some down force while you were back blading does it push down? Another surprise was the amazing traction it had. If you mentioned it I didn’t hear, what size and brand of engine does it have and do they offer engine options? I believe this would be very cost efficient to anyone who has Condominium contacts and HOA’s or 10 or 15 or more back to back driveways no insurance no registration much less fuel expense than any truck available! Yes I enjoy the comfort of a warm truck and soft seat too, but I enjoy spending less money to do the same job which in turn would make me more money just have to layer up with too pair of long john’s a snow suit a good thermal hat and good pair of snow gloves and I think the extra money earned is worth the discomfort. As for wet and heavier snow as long as the engine has the power to push snow chains ⛓ will keep you going. They do have down pressure. It will lift the front wheels off the ground. Some people use this to transfer more weight to the back giving you more traction.

Stan reviewed a home built version of mower last winter. It was a Outlaw mower with a Boss XT plow that was built really well. Looks like this company "borrowed" his idea and made a smaller, less robust model. Smaller but still pretty capable, impressive 👍

You can also get a heavy foam fill and studs. A little harsher ride but the weight is nice.

Interesting competition, 8’ blade verses 5’ blade. Yet it still kept up. Nice machine for sidewalks, driveways, and tight areas.
Would be interesting to see this thing on that apartment complex you service and there are a lot of things to get around.
I use a lighter duty shovel similar to the man plow, but made of plastic, fits my sidewalk width perfectly. Anything more than an 1" I breakout the Toro 1028OXE, because I love to send the snow across the street.

It did better than I thought it would especially when you back dragging and all the snow was under it I thought you were going to be stuck I like that the plow comes up high you can really pile the snow up yeah I would like to have it in Pennsylvania on my jobs

Stan the only snow shovel I like is the one someone else is using .I like heat that’s why I bought my Bobcat S70 last year I loved cab run a 36” bucket for sidewalks and a 60” for open areas. Toro a nice machine though 👍

favorite shovel = when i was 14 i was in JA and for our project we made snow shovels they look like the old style ones but with a twist they have a oak handle and a titanium blade. the 2 i have still look new and are 38 yrs old. the only thing i did was replace the bolts holding the blade to the handle with stainless. these shovels are mean they just need a squirt of pam & they are good all season.
Those are the best ones all day and night.

Would buy one in a heartbeat if they made a 36” model. Being in a dense and tight residential area, a 36” option for the deck and mulch bucket would be a game changer. Could have wider tires in the winter time as well for added traction, doesn’t have to be less than 36” wide in the winter since it’s not going through gates.
Wider tires get less traction in the snow narrow tires cut through the snow wider tires tend to float on top

Each of those led light pods cost $150 lol. We got one of these this year (sans lights) and it's been awesome for sidewalks, and just framing out tight areas.

That machine is good for certain situations like sideways and small driveways but I think I could out work it with my truck in larger areas. Also think you would run out of stacking space over time with the smaller plow and it's ability to stack snow. But overall I think it isn't too bad a machine. You can stack snow anywhere, your not limited to the ends of the driveway. It actually rides up on the pile once it’s frozen. The agility makes this it’s most unique feature. In bigger spaces a truck will crush it. I have both.
Somebody could make some extra money on the side with that machine. Awesome machine and an awesome video as usual.
The machine did much better at plowing than I thought it would. Side note: The Minneapolis Airport maintenance department uses the commercial Toro stand-on self propelled sprayer/spreaders (they look similar to the machine in this video) for spraying liquid deicer (E36) and spreading granular deicer (not salt) on the ramp near the airplane gates and around all the ground support equipment (tight areas) where the large 4000 gallon deicer trucks can't get into. The guys at the airport call those little Toro machines their "Secret Weapons".

I love to use a plow-style snow shovel.. I guess they call em 'pushers' it's about 18 inch wide. but i love it.
If they had a loader bucket I would be definitely wanting one. But my favorite piece of equipment stay in his used shown whatever is the erkey jerky worky quad
We just had the blizzard of "22" here in New England 24+". My site we used lawn mower with a plow attachment (manual lift and angle).
I like this Toro for the lift feature. Would have spead up our times considerably. Shoveler would push a foot or two away from building, mower/plow next couple of feet, then I would push rest into the piles.
That would get single parking spaces nicely. Going to try and recommend to my company. How much are they?
