KAYAK: Itiwit 100 2/3 Places Inflatable Touring Kayak (comes with bag, seats and fins)
ACCESSORIES; Itiwit double-action hand pump for kayaks 2x2.6l (comes with psi gauge), Itiwit 2-part adjustable symmetrical kayak paddles, Itiwit BA 50N+ Buoyancy Aids (life jackets), Subea aquashoes.
We decided we wanted to try kayaking, no better place than the Lake District to make our maiden voyage. The stunning Derwent Water was our first choice, it is relatively safe, and there are lots of other water users around, which feels reassuring. You do not require a boating license but you can only launch from certain spots. I downloaded a map of Derwent Water with all the relevant information from the Lake District National Park website.
The kayak is relatively quick and easy to inflate, taking less that 7/8 minutes, this will no doubt become quicker the more we do it. The pump was excellent, very easy to use and the already fitted pressure gauge worked as expected. We attached the fins, which comes with the kayak, to the bottom, they easily attach via a slider and pin mechanism. These help with the stability of the vessel and work great.
We will not lie, it was a bit of an unusual feeling when we first set off, we are people who need to build up trust in animate objects 😁 but we soon started to get used to it. The raft is surprisingly stable and relatively easy to move along. We also found it was able to moved just as well with one person as it did with two. The paddles were great, because we had chosen the adjustable type we were able to alter them to suit us. The life jackets are a little bulky and not really made to fit women properly but we believe they are essential and we are sure we will get used to them.
When we got back to the accommodation we unpacked the kayak, rinsed it, towel dried and left it outside with the bottom bladder separated, it took about 12/18 hours to dry completely. Oh, and we found out that we may have lost some pressure in the floor bladder because of the low temperature of the water.
As totally novices we can recommend this kayak, easy to use and we honestly had heaps of fun, we were paddling about for hours and hours and looked forward to many more watery adventures.

What an awesome video. 👌 as an open water lover myself I was really looking forward to watching this and you pair didn't disappoint. Beautiful location. Fantastic information on the area. And tea 🍵 hurrah. I've got the itiwit paddleboard and have to say I totally love itiwit. I purchased a kayak too but it's a hydroforce 2. Budget product and not as good quality as the itiwit but great fun on the River.

Oh, nautical !! Something different, loved it. Great description of the boat .I want one, marvellous music me hearties, great scenery. I think that the thing that grabbed Kat's oar was the pike she tried to land there many years ago..they never forget. Great film, watching it again😳

Love the island"swallows and amazons",yes its alot fun when big boats go past and you get hit by the waves .My main pump is massive,i always carry a mini pump on my kayak,just incase it goes down,and a punture repair kit.Yes when i had full dry suits in the winter,i jumped in freezing river to test how the lifejacket keeps me afloat!.And get a good dry bag,we have a inflatable one so if we sink can use it as a buoy.i use micro towels to clean my kayak,and when i pump it up ,as i have the wrong gauge i just go by feel.debs xx 11/10 loved this and geta inflatable drybag x

Got to watch out for those Derwent Water Pirates, if its not them its that pesky Diggler! An awesome addition to your arsenal and an incredible birthday present to boot! Great product review guys! Kayaking is one of the best things to do, after sitting down and getting that beautiful lake view on your camera… Jesus you guys are standing in front of what it looks like a beautiful painting😳 gorgeous.
It’s been a while I did some kayaking and I must say this made me again a little intrigued to do some. Amazing adventure and it is very relaxing even if you feel a little nervous and scared :) it’s gonna be okay, Ceri ❤️

Yes we really did pick the most idyllic of spots, I don't even think we had realised when planning how gorgeous it was going to be! The nerves got less and less as the day went on, it was like a reverse mountain, my turn to try help Kat overcome her fears. Kayaking on Derwent Water! Awesome! Couldn't think of a better place to get out on water. I don't blame Kat for being a bit nervous, I'd worry about getting a puncture but they must be fairly robust kayaks. Great video you two, always good to try something a bit different. xx

Yea having to buy the pump separately seemed odd, but I guess gives you choice of the many different sorts on the market now, allowing for customisation 🛶👍 it really impressed us on this first outing, can't wait to get out more! Great work guys , myself and my girlfriend Julia are looking into getting the exact same, keep an eye on the pressure gauge as some reviews on decathlon say it's not accurate and some have over inflation and started leaking at the weld seams, so keep that in mind plus the base has been known to be an issue, so probably best to inflate below the minimum of the pump to avoid splitting the weld seams .. Great video as usual 👌 👍 keep us posted on the kayak and let us know of any issues... all the best 👍 👌

I think the reviews stating the pimp isn't accurate might come from people that understand how this type of pump works, we had no issues with taking an accurate reading after a pump in of air. I can however see how people would be confused bybthe gauge if they hadn't used ine before. There is a great Facebook group, the Itiwit Users Group, already picked up soem hints and tips, like counting the pumps per side, the deflate on the base is common and can be caused by water temperature, where you canand cant paddle🌡 a nice friendly group, come join if you fancy it 👍 🛶❤️👍 hope the video was helpful, still very pleased with the Kayak, can wait to test her out on sea and rivers too. It looked quite easy to inflate quickly and deflate, really impressive! Was great to see the fells in the background, gorgeous day for it! Well done Ceri for venturing out by yourself, what a legend! This is great! Looks like so much fun. My brother and sister in law have one too and have enjoyed lots of great adventures in it. Hi guys. That did look like a lot of fun. The scenery was breathtaking as well. Very nice. Its a good idea to have an inflatable canoe as its so easy to transport around. I think we would like to try something like this. We would definitely keep to the shoreline though. 🙂🙂

Hey you two. Hope you are both well;-). Just something I noticed other canoe’s do. Is tie a 10/15 ft rope on the front. To tie up on coasts or pull in from high entry: exit points. Hope it helps xx

Hey guys, I loved watching this, I have been busy filming a few Kayak videos myself, there is something amazing about being out on the water and you get a very different perspective on the sights and scenery around you 😊 it’s a wonderful way to have some adventure 😊 I hope you both do more of these videos.
I am having trouble getting Yhana out on the water though, she had a bad experience with a swan chasing her and since then won’t get back in a kayak. I’m going to try her again in the summer holidays and find a swan free location for her. I had to delete the swan chasing her episode from the video I filmed that day, as it was traumatising lol 😆
Beginning of August, I have a few kayak videos going live. Apart from kayaking as a child, it was a new experience for me too 😊 catch up soon guys 😊

Hi guys no not yet just the lochs and lakes as we stay in Scotland our weather is so unpredictable here lol, but we're off for 3 nights glamping at the end of July and taken the kayak and get fishing rods with us which will give us more experience for by the sea .thanks for the idea about going swimming with Ur life jackets on will defo b try that.👍😁🛶
