  • Ironbridge to Bridgnorth in the Itiwit 100 along the beautiful river Severn. There were plenty of rapids along this almost 10 mile paddle down river. Next time i'll remember the chest mount so we can film the Jackfield rapids, such a rush we will definitley be doing this again soon.
    Remeber always wear a life jacket and take a throw line when paddling on the river, have a fun out there.

    Nice, I'd like to something like that but I'm not sure my back would handle sitting in a kayak for long, will try it out when were up the lakes.

      Hi, we launched from the bank near Dale end car park in Ironbridge and ended our journey near the rugby club and got out at that slope you can see at the end of the video. Thanks for watching

    Great video. I have just started. Quick question: how did you plan your trip? How did you find your starting point and ending point?

    • @outdoorgaz5
      @outdoorgaz5  2 роки тому

      Hi thanks for watching. I know this stretch of river quite well so didn't have to do much planning. The BCU Go paddling app is good for finding launch sites. Hope you get out on an adventure soon.

    When on rivers when do you know where the fins need to be taken off, are there any guides on depths online?

    • @outdoorgaz5
      @outdoorgaz5  2 роки тому +1

      No there are no guides, if the river is low or has shallow parts then I would advise you to just take them off. The kayak still stays pretty straight without them. Thanks for watching

    Thanks, great vide, but was a bit disappointed that you guys didn't use a gopro head strap which would have made the whole video much better as you'd be able to capture everything!

    • @outdoorgaz5
      @outdoorgaz5  2 роки тому +1

      I know I should of taken my chest mount. Not a big fan of the head mount as I'm always looking around which would make viewing a bit hard. Thanks for watching

    I agree with ‘Frosty Ape’, but also a suggestion: You should invest in Paddle Tethers, they are cheap, paddling like you two, constantly switching sides, the paddles get wet and there is more chance of losing them, although you didn’t. I use a double paddle alone, yes! there is less of a chance of losing it, but I still have it ‘Tethered’ better to be safe then sorry. I look forwards to your next adventure to Ullswater, I haven’t been there in many…many years, I live in the USA.

      @outdoorgaz5  2 роки тому

      I'll dedinitley be going back with my chest cam to get the best views. I agree we do need tethers just in case. Thanks for watching, the Ulswater paddle and an island camp adventure are now up on my channel. Hi from the UK hope you enjoy.

      She did better than OK, Zoe was leaving the paddle in as its very hard to steer from the front as I was just filming from the back. Thanks for watching
