Portmeirion Vlog: Itiwit Inflatable Kayak on Dwyryd Estuary, North Wales
While we waited for high tide in the Dwyryd Estuary, we decided to explore the beautiful Portmeirion Village shops before popping into the nearby town of Porthmadog for a quick poke about. We had been alerted by a local, there was a particularly good antiques shop with lots of well priced items, mum could not get there quick enough😆 We parked for free near the Porthmadog harbour and were just in time to catch the stunning and historical Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway steam train pull into the station.
After a lovely chat with the ladies in the Porthmadog Antiques Shop, we headed off with our purchases, back to Portmeirion to get our gear ready for a paddle out into the Estuary, and my dads maiden voyage on an inflatable kayak😀
The water was high and relatively still, just right. We got my dad first, then set off towards the tidal island of Ynys Gifftan. However, dad found the cramped sitting position and the stronger tide closer to the island made his breathing laboured. Ceri decided it wise to turn back and adventure closer to the mainland. Turned out to be great decision because that is where they discovered a hidden cove and passed over a sunken sip, a rather awesome adventure if you ask me!
Another really brilliant stay in Portmeirion, a magical place. We've made such special memories here and highly recommend a visit💗
Thank you for being here, all the best, Ceri & Kat!

Hiking Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) via the Watkin Path & Rhyd Ddu Ridge #nature
Переглядів 20 тис.Рік тому
The Watkin path up Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) is considered to be the most scenic but steepest of the main six routes to the top of the highest mountain in Wales with an ascent of 1,015 meters. Often the quietest path due to the loose scree section that joins the Watkin to the Rhyd Ddu path. We parked early in a free parking area (LL55 4NH) close to the bottom of the Watkin marker stone. These spaces ...
Meriden the Historical Centre of England, Group Hike YouTuber Meet Up

A cracking circular 9 miler in and around the historical centre of England, and heart of the English countryside, Meriden, Coventry. This was a perfect spot for a mottle crew of walking UA-camrs to meet up and have a stunning group hike in the surprisingly warm Autumn sun in the Midlands. We parked for free in the Meriden Sports Park (CV7 7RU) and gathered for obligatory selfies and 'so you are...
New Forest Walk: Autumn Fungi Hike (Devil's Fingers & Nail Fungus) #nature #autumn

This was an awesome autumnal walk on the heaths and woodlands of the special New Forest National Park, Hampshire, England. They are also free to gather wood/cl...

This was an awesome hike, taking in some really special places and epic scenery. It is a 13 mile circular and about 5 hours, with lots of messing about and tea swilling. From here we very quickly made our way along the busy A5, moving South-East and following the wall. Soon we d...

It was a rather soggy day so we decided to test out how our kayak acts and feels in less than ideal conditions. We headed off to Llyn (lake) Geirionydd, which is situated in the northeast of Snowdonia National Park, on the edge of the Gwydyr Forest and on the slopes of the Carneddau mountains. Here swimming and kayaking and even powered crafts are permitted. There is a large, free carpark wit t...

We started this iconic Lake District hike from the Honister Slate Mine, on the epic Honister pass (CA12 5XN). There is a five pound charge for all day parking, you pay in the shop. It's a lovely area with so much variety, and nice and quiet too, I'm a local fell runner and it's my main stomping ground, beautifully shot video, Drum is pronounced Drim and here's a little known fun fact for you, the trig point on Foel Fras isn't on the summit, I don't know why not but the actual summit is 70m away from the trig point, I've tried to find out if it was just a simple mistake but I've never found an answer, the summit of Drum was also a secret experimental radar station in WWII called Blue Joker, that's why there's a really wide and drivable path running down from it all the way to Aber so the army trucks could drive all the way to the summit.

@@TeaInValhalla the rooms in the terrace are called fountain suites I think. The one near Hercules was called Neptune not Hercules they were all lovely for a couple. We are back in September this year for 2 nights for 30th wedding anniversary it’s a long trip back from Brisbane but we can’t wait ❤️

Red pike: the only summit from which you can see five lakes. On a clear day the Isle of Man is visible. My first visit to Buttermere from Wasdale via Scarth Gap was in 1969. Second was 1974 when I discovered the pleasure of the original Croft Farm coffee shop. Now, every walk I do around the Buttermere fells, I try to be sure to finish I time for latte, a snack and an ice cream in the same, extended, coffee shop.

Absolutely great video - very informative. I especially liked the comment about this being an introduction to scrambling as too many people opt for more dangerous routes as a "first time " experience - very sensible comment ...

We are off to Anglesey in a couple of weeks, basing ourselves in Beaumaris for a week so we will definitely make a special trip to Llyn Geirionydd while there for a few hours paddling in our Itiwit X100 kayak. Hope it isn't quite so wet when we are there though. Have to admire your determination. Well done.

Llyn y Foel aka Llyn y Llygad yr Ych and the ‘monster’ was called Afanc and ‘taken’ from Betws y Coed to Glaslyn below Yr Wyddfa. By the way afanc is a beaver in modern Welsh

Well now. Shall we start in the middle of this wondrous venture thru and round the Tor to Glastonbury....this time with the most authentic, heart-centered guides you could wish for. Cheers u2. From Savannah, Ga, usa aka Across the Pond. Yes, the 'lizard' below St. George would be a smaller scaled version of that very same 'Dragon' (kundalini) he either slayed or sacrificed for Nature, the Druidic dragon line energies? Just a hunch, seriously. Keep up the authentically beautiful work ur both doing together. Kudos

Twll Du - the Black Hole. The Devil’s Kitchen is a recent (ish) name given to it by English Walkers/tourists. A bit like ‘the Nameless Cwm’ - which is called Cwm Cneifion (the valley of the fleecing).
