I absolutely loved this time in my life, it was a great time to be young, the music and fashion of the early 80s was simply amazing, for me, this track by Skipworth & Turner was one of the finest tracks of that era, I never ever get tired of listening to it. I've only just found out the name of the girl in the black dress, her moves are simply stunning, I never realised it was the same girl who was in the "Brand New Heavies" lineup. Hope life has been good to you all!.
You’re spot on. Skipworth and Turner was one of my first booked Tv sessions… back when I had a 19” waist! 😅 No briefing, just get up there and do it. Such a great memory…☺️
I’m not sure if you are correct. The beautiful girl in the black dress was a dancer and never sang with brand new heavies but did dance with music bands in the 80’s and she was a model.
@@SofireRock1hon, I can assure you that Stuart is correct. And I should know as I am the girl in the black dress! 😅 I was not there as a dancer, but was booked to do that BV session. And yes, I was in TBNH and The Style Council. ☺️
People danced and could hold the rhythm and groove. I was on tik tok and saw some of this young generation dancing, what on earth happened! they took the black out of dancing 😱
Are Skipworth & Turner on stage? I didn't notice them...Jaye Ella Ruth has amazing presence here...remember having the 4th & Broadway double sampler album with this on it...
If Freddy Mercury was on her left and Elton John on her right the lady in the black dress would still get most of the audience attention. She really lights up the stage. Anybody know her name and where she is now?
Classic from 1985! ❤️🔥

Booked by Ashley Newton, who was @ 4th and Broadway at the time. How cute! :-)

Not true, have you heard of Michael McDonald AKA doobie brothers.
The sexy lady in the middle tops it off
