I loved the Winter Park and Winter Garden areas in Florida. That is where my fiancé and I intended to retire. This was long before I knew the Villages existed. In fact, it may have been while TV was still in its developmental stages. I even found the area which I thought was beautiful. Lots of mossy trees, a creek, flowers. It was almost like a fairyland. All I could envision were alligators. Houses were extremely inexpensive. Things change. It still looks lovely but too commercialized. That crazy house I mentioned last week actually sold in 4 days. I was astonished. House of the week has a tremendous kitchen. Kitchen is the most important room for me. Also has nice curb appeal.
Hello Cynthia. Winter park is a really nice place but the prices are so high. 2,000,000 for a Condo wow. I am also surprised that the house you told me about sold. It had very specialized decor. Good for them it selling so quickly. House of the week is in a great area. I wouldn’t mind living there myself.
It was loud but I think the microphone was picking up more than my ears because I didn’t really notice it until I watched the video. Nice place though, the dining room is very quiet.

Palmer Legends Country Club is my go to place for special occasions. You can't get a better location than the house of the week. The number of homes on the market is starting to worry me.
There are different factors affecting the housing market at the moment. Interest rates obviously. A high percentage of buyers in the villages pay cash but if they are selling their home in New Jersey or Michigan then the buyers are not as readily available because of the higher rates. It has a knock on effect. Generally prices are steady. As far as sales go, when something in great condition, good location and priced right, it’s not on the market long at all
Fun Fact: I get tongue twisted trying to say Arnold Palmer. IDK why, but it's just hard for me to pronounce the two words together. When I worked in Boston, there was a french restaurant right down the street from my office, and we would sometimes go there for escargot. Ted had never had it until we went to Paris in June of 2015, and then again on a cruise for the tenth anniversary of our first date, in Jan 2019. I love how they served it in a mushroom cap! Lobster bisque is a fave also - there's a fancy French restaurant here in our small town in Ohio that has AMAZING lobster bisque. Cameraman's fish and chips looked delish! What was in the alfredo, aside from shrimp?
That all sounds wonderful. Good to know that romance isn’t dead. In my Alfredo there was lobster and crab. But not a lot it, I would have liked a little more in there 😊

Look forward every week to your podcast. Must admit though would never buy a home where the laundry is located in the garage. My wife is big on doing laundry. Nice laundry room inside a must.
It’s a strange one. Sometimes it doesn’t bother people at all and then some won’t even consider it. If mine was in the garage I would have to have some sort of air conditioning in the garage.
