Oh how I enjoyed this video!! One year ago this month, I came down to Wildwood to help my 90 year old aunt get packed up and moved back to Kentucky. It was a sudden move as when I arrived for a visit, realized she had memory problems and scammers on her tail. She was diagnosed with vascular dementia. My sister and I came back about 6 weeks later and cleaned out her house to put on the market. She lived just down the road from the villages in Continental Country Club. This visit we stayed at the Brownwood Hotel. It was spectacular!!! I loved going to The Villages for dinner and the nighttime entertainment. Enjoy it all Angela!

@Mary Beth Stoner The villages is built on the worst possible land. This area of Florida is highly prone to Catastrophic sink holes. Since I understand the geology there is NO WAY in HELL I would ever buy a home on that type of land. The worst possible place to buy a home in the U.S. Check with a Geological Engineer before you purchase there. I'm sure the engineer will try not to laugh when you say you're considering buying there. Sinkhole Alley would be a really bad experience!

Your house is so cute, congrats! I will warn you about something though. When I first saw those floor tiles, I groaned “...argh...!” The grout absolutely stains almost immediately and cannot be successfully cleaned. I say all of this because we have it, we are even contemplating digging it all up and replacing the entire floor. Maybe while it’s still nice, you could pay to have it specially sealed or something? Best of luck to you!

We bought a winter-home just outside the Spanish Springs area until we sell our home in PA and move to The Villages permanently. Although we are back in PA this winter since my husband hasn't retired yet. I know you will love it there. We have been visiting The Villages for over 10 years and love it more each time we go.
You are in a nice area up in Spanish Springs. You have a lot more stores to choose from up there too. We have been making the drive up just to be able to go to stores like Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, etc. We are really enjoying the villages so far and we can't beat the weather!! 😊

You guys will be close to Magnolia plaza which has the Publix right there and a couple of restaurants. 😊👍🏻 We are about a 5 min drive down the road from there. The weather should be nice and warm when you come 👍🏻

I’ve enjoyed watching a couple who live there year round, and they just in the last few days did a video while shopping prior to Hurricane Ian. A couple people actually recognized them. Your smile and upbeat spirit will be a plus for the community.
The Fennel Springs where the Nature Trail is at, on occasion has River Otters, small Alligators, Great Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Snowy Egrets, Little Blue Herons, Anhingas, Turtles and small fishes. Usually you can find some animal or bird to view in the water or on the shore or in the low trees.
Congratulations! Hi, from your Sarasota, FL neighbor! Our family moved from PA five years ago and we love FL even in the summer time. There are times PA is having the same temp or even higher temps. I do miss the cooler temps from PA in Sept and Oct. but it’s not bad just different. We kept our PA home for a few years and turned it into an Air B&B which we loved and met so many wonderful guests through our messaging but have since sold. I’m so excited for your new seasonal adventure. The villages look fantastic.
That is great to hear that you are loving FL live even in the summers. We wondered how hot it gets but you are right, we have plenty of hot humid days in MI in the summers too. I do love the fall up there and would miss that. We plan on being down here for now about 3-4 months a year since our kids are still in MI and we do enjoy the summers/fall there. 😊👍🏻 I have heard Sarasota is beautiful also. We have 2 MI neighbors that have winter homes there

You should absolutely come down at some point and do a lifestyle visit. That is the best way to check out the area, stay in a nice place with a golf cart already there for you and have someone you can ask questions to while you are here. 😊👍🏻

in 1972 my grandmother moved from New Jersey to Port Charlotte, Florida she bought the first lot in a new village. when my mom came down she was upset because it was a dirt patch. By the time my grandmother passed the village was all scaled up with everything you have but missing the gulf course. My mother passed away May of 2020 after living there with my father for 30 plus years. I enjoyed visiting her and gathering with all the friends that followed her their. On the day of her funeral we were offered an amount for her place by several people we took her friends offer. I will miss that beautiful village it is fun to be in a community of people your age

Congrats:-). I live fairly close to TV. Hope you don't need them, but if you do, the doctors are great in that area, dentists, too! It can become MUCH busier of course, so allow extra time for travel and restaurants. Also, as you see, the homes are very close. I recommend some type of noise blocker or white noise. Tower fans through out my home are sufficient. Enjoy!!
My daughters friend who is 48 actually bought in the villages. She lived in Tampa but somehow she was able to buy in the villages even though she’s not really over 55 lol she loves it

How exciting Diane!! Spanish Springs is a beautiful spot too and you have all the stores up by you. We have gone up that way many times in the past couple of weeks to make runs to Target, Best Buy, Bed and Bath, etc. Congratulations to you as well! 😊

The Fennel Springs where the Nature Trail is at, on occasion has River Otters, small Alligators, Great Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Snowy Egrets, Little Blue Herons, Anhingas, Turtles and small fishes. Usually you can find some animal or bird to view in the water or on the shore or in the low trees.

Congratulations! Hi, from your Sarasota, FL neighbor! Our family moved from PA five years ago and we love FL even in the summer time. There are times PA is having the same temp or even higher temps. I do miss the cooler temps from PA in Sept and Oct. but it’s not bad just different. We kept our PA home for a few years and turned it into an Air B&B which we loved and met so many wonderful guests through our messaging but have since sold. I’m so excited for your new seasonal adventure. The villages look fantastic.
That is great to hear that you are loving FL live even in the summers. We wondered how hot it gets but you are right, we have plenty of hot humid days in MI in the summers too. I do love the fall up there and would miss that. We plan on being down here for now about 3-4 months a year since our kids are still in MI and we do enjoy the summers/fall there. 😊👍🏻 I have heard Sarasota is beautiful also. We have 2 MI neighbors that have winter homes there

You should absolutely come down at some point and do a lifestyle visit. That is the best way to check out the area, stay in a nice place with a golf cart already there for you and have someone you can ask questions to while you are here. 😊👍🏻

in 1972 my grandmother moved from New Jersey to Port Charlotte, Florida she bought the first lot in a new village. when my mom came down she was upset because it was a dirt patch. By the time my grandmother passed the village was all scaled up with everything you have but missing the gulf course. My mother passed away May of 2020 after living there with my father for 30 plus years. I enjoyed visiting her and gathering with all the friends that followed her their. On the day of her funeral we were offered an amount for her place by several people we took her friends offer. I will miss that beautiful village it is fun to be in a community of people your age

Congrats:-). I live fairly close to TV. Hope you don't need them, but if you do, the doctors are great in that area, dentists, too! It can become MUCH busier of course, so allow extra time for travel and restaurants. Also, as you see, the homes are very close. I recommend some type of noise blocker or white noise. Tower fans through out my home are sufficient. Enjoy!!
My daughters friend who is 48 actually bought in the villages. She lived in Tampa but somehow she was able to buy in the villages even though she’s not really over 55 lol she loves it

Congratulations 🎉 ! We just bought a little 2 BR cottage home in Spanish Springs 4 weeks ago. Back & forth "Snowflakes" for now and hopefully winter "Snowbirds" by 2023.
How exciting Diane!! Spanish Springs is a beautiful spot too and you have all the stores up by you. We have gone up that way many times in the past couple of weeks to make runs to Target, Best Buy, Bed and Bath, etc. Congratulations to you as well! 😊
