And all we are the same today. We are surrounded by beauty of nature, people, freedom and health and so on, but we can't see it and can't enjoy it because of our blindness. @@EvyTheFox That's not Schlager, it's called Bayrische Volksmusik (Bavarian Folk Music). The distinction is important, as Schlager was the German pop music of the 50s and 60s and it never fully disappeared. On the other hand, there is no German Folk Music, as Germany is culturally split into lots of regions, all of them with their distinct dialects, music, dance and historical clothing. Sometimes it's so bad, neighboring villages don't understand each other, because the dialects are so different.

The video was made in Austria. But Bavaria (where Munich and the Oktoberfest are located) are very similar to Austria in many ways. The clothes could be from Austria and from Bavaria (Germany). The clothes of the women are called "Dirndl". In former times everybody was running around in Bavaira & Austria in clothes like that. Nowadays this kind of clothes are mostly worn to special happenings like religious processions and parties like the Oktoberfest and the competitions & parties of the local shooting clubs etc. I'm recommending the band "Kreator" and their song "Hate über alles" for a next reaction. Oh Rammstein has been "getting away with that" for a loooong time. If you go back to the music video for Pussy, which to watch the uncensored version you gotta go to porn sites. It's a lot more explicit than this one. But I love that they're still very creative with the topics they approach, just on this album you get songs like Zeit, Zick Zack (which talks about the vanity of surgery to stay "young") and this which is this mix of traditional music with their style talking about wanting a wife with big boobs. And they pull it off!

I agree that Germany rules the top of the heavy scene now with Electric callboy on the lighter side and Rammstein still ruling the more artistic side. On the more extreme side I hold Lorna Shore and the amazing William Ramos as the leaders in pushing the art of music. But Gojira are still also up there in my book.
