Would make it a lot easier if you used some heat. Even propane or map if you don't have an oxy torch. Lesser chance of creasing or cracking, especially with cheap or old headers. Just my experience. Great video with a great result.
I have to do a similar job to get a decent Driveshaft/Tail-shaft clearance on a round cross-member. Not sure how yet because it's welded in place & not removable. There is no room to swing a hammer under there either. Might have to invent a bolt down tube crusher of some description. It will have to be pretty heavy duty though, because the cross-member tube is made from 2.5mm steel.
Great video! I'm gonna do the same to my header to clear the steering shaft on my swap, im guessing the solid brass piece is to get the dimple started?
Denting headers doesnt cause hp loss look it up on engine masters
Nice job man!
thank you sir
Loving the phrase dimples 😁
Thank u sir

You want something round so it won't gouge the header...don't forget to subscribe
Wrap the headers that will keep the heat down as well
You got a nice voice! It's nice to hear it. You should do some voice overs or comedy.
lol thanks
I have same problem
What if you bought brand new and you don't want to bang on it
U can try shorty plugs..but next option is to bang..wont hurt anything..and wont lose horsepower..thanks for watching
klowny1969 Thanks
Put some butter sauce on it
Always!!
budda sawse!
Is that Chris driving the Camaro ??
Sorry don't know a chris
Is using a vice another way to create the dimple?
Chum Bucket I would becareful using a vice on headers
Would using a header on vises be acceptable ?
Im using a c clamp with success with header installed
What do you use to tighten the header bolts on the inside of the bend? You know like the #1 cylinder on both sides?
I have a video called how to install headers..will show you step by step
Heat it first
Bigger pipe......check🤣
