Hi so I got this kit and had it fitted, downloaded the app through QR code but can’t seem to get it to connect have you or anyone else had similar issue?
Doing my 2 series f22, door ones are too short, I can't do the final curve on the right, may have to order the 1m extension ones and replace them.
If a car already has ambient lighting, can you just tap into that for the sub box in the doors?
The mirrors always fade!! Its gel coat that's not UV protected hence it fades/yellows. Easily sanded down and recleared and it'll be like new! Great job on the lighting.
I actually think these ones are just stick on covers, but he already had the replacements so wasn't any point in checking out how to save but thats true. Its a bit of work but can be done. Glad you watched enough of the video to discuss this with me haha

What is the app called that works with that brand, do you know if it works in the US?
For the centre console to work on the light switch use a 12v relay from the hazards to the cigarette lighter that way it’ll come on with the light switch rather than on constantly

@@mrgcc I got my eyes set on a gen 1 R8 sometime in summer so I'm hoping to install this ambient light kit as soon as I get it. I think it'll give it more of a modern look and liven up the interior

I have a similar kit for my M2 and I connected the main module to the cigarette lighter too but it keeps draining my battery… I don’t know what to do :(
Ur cig on bm is constant live. You should do it properly from the fuse box.

i doubt he ever will as this is his job so he makes money out of people not knowing 🫠
Do you have to glue them in or are the lights just wedged into place?
they are wedged into place, I try to never use glue and only use double sided tape from time to time but on this, it was all done by placing it all into place

Use a multimeter and check the wires.
I used the ambient light cables, comes on with the headlights
