The first name I ever heard in metal detectors was Bounty Hunter. Still love them and still use them to this day. It was 1979 when I bought my first Bounty Hunter. Wish I still had that model I can't even remember which one it was but I know I paid a pretty penny for it even back in 79. Enjoyed the video. Take care Hunter.

That would have been a George Payne design back then I think. Dave Johnson came along later and fine-tuned and tweaked them from there. Proven detectors across the brand. Like to see them produce a flagship style detector to get the respect of the hardcore guys.

I am new at doing it myself, always watched my dad when I was little. Been wanting to get one but I'm on limited income so it's stalled the search. But I found goodwill online, and they have a ton of detectors, and several of these!!! I'm bidding on one now, so WOOHOO! I might be getting started soon! Going to do my yard first, last summer my dogs tie out rubbed on the dirt, and turned up a really old coin, but doesn't look like one from the US Mint. I can't wait to see what else is found though! Thank you for such a great video, and not making it difficult. Good huntin' y'all!

Is there a huge difference in this and the tracker 4 for a beginner? I know the tracker 4 probably has a slight edge up, but I have a $40 gift card for bass pro and they don't carry the tracker 4 but they do carry the gold digger, so I could get this model for a very nice price compared to the tracker lol

I hunt the bounty that the Earth gives up. I "feel" real enough....but maybe it's all a dream!

Fantastic you just proved blind people are the target consumer. Above ground 1/2 inch away. Who’s buys into this nonsense?

It's a demonstration video of target audio and the disc circuit - not a depth test. Most people are not daft idiots and realize this.

I have one and I cannot say the same it’s a piece if crap

For $60 it hits coins to 5 inches and has a extremely fast recovery speed. Also has a great discrimination circuit and passes a nail board test that some $500+ machine cannot. Calling it crap seems fairly ridiculous.

TheHunterGT maybe I just have had bad luck with it because when I put the trash eliminator on everything disappears.

Sounds like a defect then. It should slowly discriminate out ferrous items as you turn it up.

It's a $60 detector big guy...it's not supposed to go any deeper.
