    YOU ARE A WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE! Thanks for this video, very informative & interesting! More “LIVES” on UA-cam please! I can’t find your one for detecting at the beach, I may have miss it, would appreciate information on that please…..I’m assuming best places to go on beach would be in front of resorts or areas that are usually crowded on weekends & holidays……. ? Is it better to high or low tides or both?, better after rough surf basically after a topical occurrence? Or is it just a crapshoot?😂😂🤣. Thanks again!

      Highly populated areas are definitely the best, especially after holidays and stuff!

    AWESOME!!! Thank you for the info, I got a metal detector for Christmas last year and so far I have found 27 cents, a dog collar, and a can of sardines! Boy I tell you!!! I was so excited to find the 27 cents... and the dog collar... and the can of sardines! I don't know what's wrong with me heh

    Thoroughly enjoyed this video, choc full of information. I reside in a large city (Miami) so every place which is old is protected by the State and there's no digging allowed. Next plan is to reach out to homeowners and ask for permission as that would be allowed. Very limiting. I wish we had large fields/farm lands.

      Some rural
      Areas are lacking in good aerial photos, but I bet you can find some old maps, or old topo maps!

    I'm building a metal detector that I will be able to calibrate according to the received signals' frequency return. Iron, aluminum, precious: All have a different return signal. There's lots of places nearby, and if you replace your dirt at the beach, you can dig.
    I had started this project because I was inspired by Captain Avery's horror show that brought in shiploads of gold and silver. No one has found it, except traces here and there, some within a bike ride from home. That's all there will be, because Avery melted down and re-cast the gold and silver into counterfeit coins of the day. The crews spent it invisibly with a few exceptions.
    There are other things to dig up, but a chest of Avery's unmodified treasure might still exist.

    Where do we start when it comes to getting permission, or just checking if you need permission? Are you just looking for Private Property / No Trespassing signs, or can you get in trouble for going to places without those signs? Do you just call up the Town Hall of each town? Thanks!

    • @conkdetects
      @conkdetects  9 місяців тому +2

      You should definitely not go where there are no trespassing signs! When in doubt, call you city hall and ask the rules. They can differ by city, county. Finding permissions can be done by simply driving around, or using online tools like GIS maps. I'm making a new video that will cover some of this! Always make sure you know if you're allowed to detect on the property, public or private.
