this is good, but i was expected a "fix" that helps most people. don't think most players use that software. It's safe to say that if you don't have any weird 3rd party apps installed, you should have relatively stable fps with the latest patch.
This seems like a really common problem I see in the discord which I was surprised to see since it only started happening after the update. You still might have some FPS drops but not as much in the forest as there use to be. Rain also was a big problem before I found Razor Cortex was the issue.

@@FlockersDesign I have seen this work for a lot of people. That said yes others have issues still with FPS which I recommend they go to the games discord and talk with team on there based on their personal system.
@@Kodiak-Outdoors only if u use razer cortex this may work again not everyone uses this not every one has razer equipment and it seems the default map i a big issue this is a 6 month old known problem fixed NO so dont expect the devs to do anything about it
@@FlockersDesign exactly hence why I recommend that you talk to their team on discord. Sorry to hear you still have this issue, you're not alone which is really frustrating considering the game has been out like you said for 6months. Which is also why I did a review pointing this issue out and telling people not to buy it right when it came out. I did see a possible fix for razor user from the discord so that's why I made the video to try to help some of the PC players.
Part of me feels like it has a slight memory leak. After a couple hours of play I notice I have to look up into the sky for the fps to fix itself cuz occasionally it’ll dip and stay stuck in the 45-50 range. When I’m usually at 80-100 fps on very high, ultra 1440p. It’s very odd. Some days it seems like it runs way better then the previous day. I’ve put about 150 hours into the game and it’s very random I must say, performance wise lol.
I am extremely lucky enough to have a Ryzen 7 5700g and an RTX 3070ti system. However, when all settings are set at maximum & no motion blur, it can "only" manage around 75 - 80 fps with occasional drops down into the very low 50's.
So, I investigated the settings and their impact at various different locations in game.
Hunting stand @ Coppermouth (North approach to Nahneke Mtn.): low settings; approx. 90-105 fps, through to everything maxed out (again no motion blur); approx. 75-80 fps.
Atop Nahneke Mtn looking at Yi's Cabin across lake (crossing from the Nth and dropping down to the ledge after the first ladder going back down): everything maxed & only dropping Visual Distance Quality from Ultra to High got me around 140 fps, switching up to V.High dropped fps to about 90, yes 90!! that's a HUGE drop to see sticks and bushes more than 1KM away. On High you get no discernable drop in visual fidelity upto around 850-900 metres (possibly even to 1km).
Yi's Cabin: saw a drop in fps to as low as the mid 50's (WTF!!!). this confused the crap outta me and found that altering the VDQ did nothing much to make this better but that lowering the foliage quality/count did!
So, for me: everything at maximum, NO motion blur!! (spawn of Satan), High Visual Distance Quality (not gonna shoot anything that far out any how) and Foliage at medium settings got me pretty much stable fps of 90-100. Then Vsynced it to match my display. Runs as smooth as melted butter now. So, VDQ & Foliage are the hardest hitters, even more so than shadows.
Sorry for the long post but I do like to tell a story 🤣. Hope this info is of use to anyone.
P.s. I don't have Razer but as an Omen system owner I have Omen Optimizer so will have to check if that has had any effect on fps or lag spikes. If it has I will post back and confirm otherwise, take it that it didn't.

Tipp, second party programms like nzxt cam was my problem. Was running in the background and gave me fps drops from 400 to 8 fps. Specs were amd 7800x3d and 7900xtx. After closing it runs smoth.

I installed the game, and everything seems like its in slow motion. One weird thing is after i start up the game, and start playing it is in a slow motion speed, if I look down at the ground while walking on a trail, or anywhere it speeds up like a normal play speed, but if i look back up while walking or standing in one spot, its instantly back in slow motion. How can I fix this, to play the game like normal?. Thank You
Hi Donald are you on PC or console? I'm guessing when you are looking down the game isn't rendering as many textures, shadows or visuals allowing it to have proper FPS. I would first go under the video settings and turn off motion blur and lower some of the foliage settings, textures, shadows and view distance quality to see if that helps. If that doesn't help I would jump on their discord for the game and they have a help area that they can work with you one on one to hopefully get the game running well for you. Hope that helps.

All I had to do is clock up my cpu up to 6.0 ghz speed and ramped up my graphic card rog strix 4070ti oc then went to setting maxed out everything in the game solid 170s frames but feel not smooth. Then I put v sync enabled 4k 60 fps and it was crisps smooth as butter. This game was meant to run 60 fps not over.
How do you fix it on xbox series x?

the games performance in general is kinda meh, at night when it rains it goes from about 50 fps for me to 20
Definitely agree, it's gotten better but not a whole lot sadly.
I have a 1650 i59400f and 16gb ram and it runs good on medium settings
Anyone having trouble that the game gets a drop in FPS after a while and really bad graphics 😬 . Trees looking like 8 bit. Happened after I started hunting with the free shotgun.
Before all was fine on my laptop.
Already had the graphics lowered a bit so it runs really smooth. And then all of a sudden bang fps drop, has the free shotgun something to do with this?
Used to have this in another game where 1 gun ruined it all. Just thought of this so haven't tested it yet.
Actually one of the biggest bugs they had was crashing and FPS drops while using the shotgun to duck hunt. The crashing seems to have been patched but I have noticed FPS drops while duck hunting especially.
@@Kodiak-Outdoors I hope it's that. It didn't crash, but FPS was madness. And stuff loading half (far distance models only it seems) .

It’s not. I am not running Razer Cortex on my Pc and still getting 40fps in DX12 with a 5800X and 3070 Ti at 1440p.
I would go to the game discord then and they have a section to help PC players where they can talk to you directly

Game booster > My library > Click on the game you want to remove from the booster and click on the delete button
I don’t even have Cortex what do I do now? 😂 I have a 3050 it runs tarkov at 144 but this is taking a hit
I would go to their discord and go under the PC area and see if someone has a suggestion or if someone knows. If not their Discord mods are really helpful and also have a channel you can chat with them about what's going on with your set up. I know it's a problem for a bunch of people.

I would go to the games discord, there is a whole channel for Xbox and the devs can help you directly.

I haven't seen anything about how to solve that on YT but I would pop into the games discord. The devs of the game are super active and have channels where they will work with you one on one.

I don't currently own a PS5 but I would highly recommend going to WOTH discord and asking in the PS5 channel. It's a very active and helpful community.
My game on series X is just so bright and vibrant it’ll almost make you puke. How do I tone down the colors to look good and realistic/darker
If you don't see any in game video setting or if you don't want to change your TV settings I would ask the devs in the game discord, they might have a solution.
I fixed it by playing on ps5

@@tomgirdler5511 just runs smoothly on ps5. I've had no changes or issues
@mike2865 been playing tonight on mine and in places now and then the gameplay gets a bit jerky/jumpy not smooth, don't think the 55inch tele is helping though.
I know nothing about FPS and all that stuff.
