FYI - DO NOT add an inline fuse to your Warn winch! Just finished installing a Warn 10-S. The instructions did not show or recommend an inline fuse, so I called their Tech department. When asked what size fuse I should add, the Tech said Warn DOES NOT recommend that an inline fuse be used or added. I specifically asked about shorting and possible winch damage. He said the winch has an internal circuit to protect itself. So I installed mine as shown on the Warn instructions.
Even though I was replacing OEM plastic bumper with a RockHard4x4 unit, I found this video to be helpful for my Warn install. Thanks!
Great to see a fellow jeeper in my old stomping grounds. Great video too.
Thank you!
Looks great!
Didn’t know about your channel till now I made sure I subscribed
Welcome & thank you for subscribing!
Looking Good.
Nice build.
Jeep looks great, I’m jealous!
Thanks buddy!
Hello, very helpful thank you very much!!
What kind of fuse you put in ?
Thank you very much!
Good install video. I’m doing this same set up for a friend soon and this video helped a lot with questions I had. Sucks you hadn’t put the sleeve on the line before that first attempted pre spool lol
You should outfit your winches with winch line grabbers. Keeps the winch from having les than 2-3 wrap on the drum. They are a must have.
I’ll have to look into that. Thank you
I like the winch and the stubbie 😎👌
Awesome ! This winch setup looks very solid 👍🏻💪🏻
Thanks Mike
I used duct tape to hold the nuts on the bottom of the winch.
So to run the winch did I understand correctly? You had to move the bumper out further? So I presume you had to put spacers in there? Who is that because of the 10,000 pound winch was a little too wide/deep to fit?
I pretensioned my winch rope by pulling a down tree close to be bucked up for firewood.
It's always good to have a "wench" on the trail with you.
😂 We’re cracking up!!
John FitzGerald 🧟♀️👈🏻👉🏻🧙🏼♀️🤷🏻♂️
Very nice video
Thank you, Mike
Wow! I have to apologize I been so busy last few weeks work an other stuff. I have missed lot of UA-cam. I am watching this thinking what's happening lol. I had go back and get caught up. Sorry to hear u sold the Ram. But I am excited to see some jeep video's. Very cool!
Thanks Jim!!
@@BEASTProjects did you get the Super Nova V4's yet? I think i just saw Headlight Revolution with a video putting them in a Jeep. I have those bulbs I my Ram. Wow love them.
I’m gonna be hitting up JP in about a month for a regear, great people!
Thanks Mike!!
Thanks for your tips I’m doing this on my JK right now. But I opted for steel cable.
Thank you for watching
I do have one question I hate to bother you that in-line fuse you installed could you tell me where you got that?
Not sure, the Jp Shop keeps them in stock for winch installs.
BEAST Projects OK thank you
@@khcopter I just spoke with Tracey (Jp Shop), here you go: inline Fuse Holder: amzn.to/2YX7XdV
& 500 AMP ANL Fuse: amzn.to/3fHgIPP
Synthetic rope on a winch is the way too go. It doesn't backlash like wire does. You can cut it and it will fall straight down. Wire will recoil and possibly hurt someone. Awesome video thanks for sharing
Thank you 🙏🏻
what was the labor cost on that winch install?
It's nice to see that you installed the Sidewinder "closed loop" hook. Checkout Factor 55 for some other awesome winch accessories.
It’s funny that you recommended that, because Tracey told me about them during the install. Definitely going to check them out.
@@BEASTProjects was about to comment the same thing!! factor 55 is a damn good company and have even better products
You caught that!! We just threw on real quick & I haven’t got around to flipping it. 🤣
How hard is it going to be to install a new synthetic line when it comes time? I have the same winch on my JL and was just trying to find out if there is a trick to install a new line in the future with out removing the bumper.
It would be really tough. There’s not a lot of room w/ the massive Zeon 10 winch in the JL bumper.
I have the Warn 12000 pound winch on my gladiator
Came here for winch information, left with a new brother of the lactose intolerant team
😂
Just found this vid; great job & details. Could you give me more info on the in line fuse (great idea) you used?
At The JP Shop we use a few different styles of fuses+holders but we normally use a 500 Amp audio fuse for subwoofer amplifiers. All we do is cut the line and put terminals on each end that we cut, then put the fuse+holder in line and screw it to the fuse but depending on the style you use mounting will be different for you.
Thanks!
That's better than goose poo 🙈😂😂😂😂😂
Is your front right rim curbed? Or did the mounter do that to them?
It’s soap, I haven’t even washed it yet. Haha 😂
Looks great by the way regardless
Thank you 🙏🏻
Wouldnt that have to be a big as fuse? Isn't the winch drawing 600amps or something?
shouldn't install a fuse in the winch.
Video idea.... winch the rebel up your steep driveway lol
Your making me want a jeep more and more now grrr lol
Haha 👍🏻👍🏻
Do you have a part number for the fuse box you added?
Can look tomorrow. It’s just a heavy duty fuse block, similar to what you would use for an amplifier.
@@BEASTProjects Thank you buddy
What size rims and tires you running and what lift? Awesome looking jeep
Thanks Todd, check out this video; NOT WASTING TIME! Brand new 2019 Rubicon JL gets LIFTED & 37" TIRES ua-cam.com/video/6L5YiDmkhbM/v-deo.html
Can you link the fuse that you use for the power line?
Link?
Sorry, the make and model of the fuse?
BEAST Projects also interested in a link to buy the fuse
What be a kwel build ... Willy's Jeep with a Cummins 4BT
Yes it would!
When you upgrade the bumper let me know I want the old one.
Keep an on my social media.
I use Coconut Milk.
Need to show how to use it
I will be, keep watching for some wheeling video soon.
Why did you put the hook on wrong
Blooper
with a JL and the extra ground clearance from a JK you really don't need 40s and unless you are going to 5.13 or 5.38 gearing. and with 40s you will need a pro rock 44 front axle the FAD will fail with 40s.
One day maybe...
Never too old to live like you’re twenty something.
Amen lol 😂
Hey Steve, I'm curious to know if you've been receiving less likes on your videos since you got rid of the Beast?
Lost about 100 subs in 2 day, gained 300 since. Hate to see people go, but clearly others are still enjoying the content. The Likes are still about the same.
Beast- Just proof you made the right choice. Jeep guys are crazy for mods!
@@BEASTProjects Yeah I kinda figured some peeps would split, I stuck around cuz I like your vids. 👍👍 As always
The sidewinder was put on
backwards 😬
Yup, we flipped it off video & since replaced it w/ a Factor 55 hook.
Love what you’ve done to your beast!
Didn't anybody WARN you about the wench?
It's a crappy thing to forget you're lactose intolerant...
Hahahaha
Real crappy 🤣
I see what you did there 🤣
So all that money for the warn and they didn't make that shit right
rule #1, don't eat cereal.

Please keep your videos IN FOCUS. The out of focus fade is a really irritating. Otherwise a very informative.
