@@JKGearandGadgets im glad to be watching and thanks for putting the videos up for us to watch... Im thinkin the camera is the only thing that saved you.. Kinda like to many Witnesses lol......
I saw a guys jeep that he took off that top motor or electrical panel on the winch and put it under his hood so it’s more sleek looking. He put it on the right side opposite the battery .
I think you can shut the auto park brake off in your settings on the radio I know you can in the 2017 Renegadeyou might want to look into it if you dont like that feature
When you put a Zeon in this bumper you have to grow another arm and 2 other people. You have to put the bumper on half way, drop in the winch, then wiggle everything and learn new curse words getting it together. The VR is the better fitting option.
Actually you connect the Positive first not the negative. But in your case both legs are open so you will not get any sparks. The only time you get a spark is if you connect while under load
Just had my Gladiator Rubicon at Rausch last weekend with Blue Mountain Jeep Alliance for a ride. It did really well on greens/blues. Def needs some lift and bigger tires but overall better than I thought. I’m going to order this bumper. I like it. Let me know if you need another rig for a ride at RC or AOAA. Would love to join in
I am surprise that in USA you not mounted kill switch for positive wire between battery and winch. It is always security before your wire start melt if winch get stuck and it’s happen in warn winches too….
Yes, this. Was looking to be sure somebody said it. If the ground is connected while wrenching the positive, and the wrench touches ground, well, magic smoke and lightning.
I've still got a brand new Warn 9.5XP that I bought back in 2005, and never got to install on a truck. It's still factory-sealed in the box in my storage unit. Thinking about tossing it on the JTR... Haven't decided on what bumper yet...
Hello: I really believe my Wrangler Unlimited in the Crawl mode would come up that bank without the winch. I found it would crawl by accident. You can even give full throttle and the Engine sounds like it's missing to keep from spinning tires. It's craziest thing I ever seen...That Silver Bumper would look great on my Silver Unlimited. I went with Smittybilt, I wanted Powder Coat !!! I am in S.W. Va.

Lol. She is driving but you get the blame. How does your neighbors feel about all of this activity ? And that gray looks great. Makes me want to get one. Keep up with the great videos. You got a future in this UA-cam thing
LOVE your videos. I'm loving my Gladiator and looking at different mods for it. Since it is a daily use vehicle for me.. I am being selective about what I add. I am curious as to how far out the bumper comes from the jeep? My Glad just fits in the garage with the stock bumper touching the wall!!! Thanks!
What lift are you thinking about? A lift that will allow full articulation without rubbing with the 37 inch tires? Or a lift to go to a larger tire? You also mentioned VA. I live in Virginia Beach
Based on your winch demo, seems the rubi didn’t rub at all with the 37s and only the spacer lift. Seems promising for when you hit the trails. I’m thinking that your set up will be pretty good for me but may add the 3/4” daystar rear spacers.
I think it will handle the trails fine! And yes some rear spacers would work great. I was going to add them, but no reason if I’m going to add a lift kit down the road. Who knows, maybe I’ll add some rear spacers just to get by until the lift kit
After seeing an IG post where a Gladiator burnt down where the winch wiring was suspect (not confirmed I believe), I added some braided sleeving to our positive cable and zip tied the hell out of them to keep them from moving. So...how about some sweet lp6's for the front?!
@@JKGearandGadgets not sure if you saw at SEMA, but BD released the LP4 - they are almost the same price of the LP6! I wanted the LP4 for the pillars, but it's not making sense. Need to rethink the light game.
Am loving the stuff your doing with the Gladiator, if I can find the money I'll be buying one when they release them here in Australia :) Probably wait for the Eco-Diesel version but yes I want one lol
Ben, first of all, your Gladiator looks badass! Love the front bumper and the color! But, can you please purchase a head mount/strap for your GoPro? Just saying.
You need a 2.5” lift min to run 37” tires. I know I own one with 37s and I rub with 37s. You will also need belly skid plates. I have taken some damage without it and am ordering a rock hard belly pan. You will also need control arm skid plates as well as front dif skid. One last thing is I will be getting 4.88 gears. I am sick of it shifting between 7 and 8 gear constantly This is from experience with the same truck and tire size.
I will probably go with a 3” or 3.5”. I’m hoping 7SC comes out with some JL/JT diff covers soon! I know I’ll need them, personnally I’m not a fan of diff skids
JK Gear and Gadgets why dont you like dif skids? Also keep the gladiator somewhat budget if you can. I like the dream builds but not many youtubers have budget builds. It’s nice to see what a normal person can do and what it will get you.
hill160881 you lose a little ground clearance, and then tend to hang up on rocks and stuff Offroad. They were popular 10 years ago, people bought them, realized they are better off with just a nice diff cover, and the diff skids faded out of the market. Now they are back again lol. I’m just not a fan, every little bit of ground clearance helps. Looking at them, it’s an amazing idea, and you would think that it would just slide over a rock, but from my experience they don’t. And the extra length of steel can sometimes create more drag. They aren’t bad, I’m just not the biggest fan. If I was to ever install one, it would be on the rear only.
What’s safety mechanisms? You can’t put the vehicle in neutral with door open? Or the vehicle can’t be in neutral without someone being in the driver seat?
It’s not a bad idea. But not completely needed, I had always thought about that, but even your starter wire comes straight off the battery without a fuse 🤷♂️
Brother love your channel, which bumper you like best the pritchett canyon frame chop or thr not frame chop? I got a frame chop one for 275 but I'm debating cutting the frame horns. And then I saw u have one that isn't frame chop but similar. What's your take on the 2? The quality is amazing on both.
I’m a rebel. Lol. You could always use a winch fairlead license plate mount, or mount it onto the lower skid. I’ll leave mine off, never had issues in the past
I think it turned out killer!! And I’m not sure, I might cut it up to see if there is a way to mount a winch with the stock plastic bumper. I know a few people might be interested in that
