You should have named the video “How to sell your family fast”. Tesla model S 2014-2015-2016 isnt that expensive, conisdering its EV and quite powerfull. Seen with good range 400-500km ratio ones. Its a bargain in my opinion when comparing that to these.

car prices in England are just absurd, the cheapest i8 in germany costs 54000 pounds and the cheapest R8 is 44000 pounds, thats 14000 pounds more expensive than in the UK. Does anyone know why the difference is so big???
Lovely list of cars, but if you can't afford a new car, you probably can't afford to own and maintain all the cars here other than the Mustang and the Nissan GTR. Some components of these cars can cost close to £10,000 to replace. And a few of these cars are truly reliable.
Buying a cheap used Bentley is a terrible terrible advice. The repair and maintenance cost will make you go bankrupt. The same goes for pretty much every car featured in this list with the exception of the Nissan GT-R. As the saying goes "don't go broke trying to look rich".

i picked up a 2017 maserati ghibli 404hp for 28g's. nothing special but a lot of car for the money. it's the sweet spot of auto's that is interesting
Interesting, what engine is that please?
Running these is another story eh?
Especially true with some of the brands on this list
Aston Martin Rapid , BMW i8, The Maserati Grantourismo, Nissan GTR, , All these cars could have been updated timely fashion.
What about the ulez charge in London
I8 in UK, 45 000€, here lowest at 67 000€. R8 UK 37000€, here 60 000€. But best of all UK gets GTR for 45 000€ and here starting at 81 000€. Finland for a car person is pain.
6:04 Oh no, not a Maserati. It's known to go wrong in all sorts of ways, owning one is a pain in the ass. Rent one out before buying it, it'll probably stop working within 15 minutes.
Ha I just bought a bright yellow mustang GT a few weeks back. LOVE IT and its a proper bargain
You have forgotten the all important equation: cheap to buy, expensive to maintain. It’s a nice fantasy to think you can drive a supercar cheap - but still a fantasy….
Nice choices but most of the buyers forget the maintenance cost which always set you back especially if it is an unexpected one!!
💯💯
Where's the M4 in this list?! I've got one, it's an absolute steal for the prices they're currently at!!
It's the servicing and repair bills that worry me about these types of cars that have become "bargins"
Do Bentleys not break in the UK?
My god, prices in the UK are so much cheaper than in the US. That BMW here is around 70k for a crap car.
Some pretty good shouts there Rory :D I8, Rapide, Gran Turismo
And in hindsight, TVR ending up being Russian owned, seems only natural now 😬
It'll still be best to have 80k in your pocket before you buy these 40k exotics... if you don't wanna end up bankrupt fixing those and live in a box underneath the interstate
@@Nonegiven14582 Slightly used GTI and some cash in hand would be a better bet😎The MK8 "improvements" over MK7.5 did not seem to be welcomed
@@Nonegiven14582 Didn't know A5 can be trashed by yobbos as well. I thought they'd all go for Civics. But you're right with that price it make much better sense buying them new.
@@Nonegiven14582 🤠For sure mate. Cars would have to suit everybody's need afterall~ Not just financially but also your day to day habit. When I live in the US as a student with big garage and free time to mack about, I bought tons of old cars and can afford to fix them with time and effort. But now as a working manager in Singapore, a realible car with limited worry matters a lot to me.
Alfa Quadrifoglio for £39,500, yes please!
No one in their right mind should ever buy most of the cars on this list as maintaining these cars is going to be a nightmare
Get any GTR 35 and bring it to great shape then keep it for a couple of years. Price will be at least 30% more than what you all invest in it. Just saying :)
One car not on this list that should be is the rs4 avant it has every thing for that fast family man needs, more room than all the cars you called, I run one it’s a 2014 35,000 miles 450hp o to 60 sub 4 sec, have seen 190 mph, that’s because the limiter has been removed by the men at Audi factory as a demo model it’s a best, it’s up for sale if anyone is brave call me 👍
why did the price on GTR's jump 30% after this video?
Even if you don't want a sporty car, the fact that you can get such highly spec'd cars for under the average new price should make buying new not sensible option for most people, especially if its on years of finance for a basic car, if you go for a used car you can get a top of the range spec'd family or small car for way below the ridiculous prices a lot of daily family or work use new cars are being sold at & you have the information available about true running costs, reliability, function, practicality etc, to make the right informed choice, you don't get with newly released cars
I love the Alfa quad and Nissan GTR 😍😍
Cars are so much more expensive in Australia.
Cheapest Bentley Continental GT is a 2005 model with 120,000 km on the clock for $80k AUD. Converted thats €44k.
We're getting ripped off!😢
That 911 is gorgeous. But if you do have to budget shop for a sports car, you have to keep in mind that they’re expensive to maintain. $1000 DIY for brakes
Had 3 911's and a few other German cars inbetween, my next car is going to be a...another 911.... once you have had one or even two they are difficult to get away from.
You can’t go wrong with a Bmw M3 competition (f80)
used bentleys are cheap to buy... but are still bentleys to maintain. 😅😂 Car prices depreciate, car maintenance is actually opposite.
How about Aston Martin Virage? A forgotten model but gorgeous styling
Seen the sizes of the engines on all these cars? .... they might be cheap to buy but very expensive to maintain them!
The Alfa would be tempting or the GTR. Both sub-4 seconds! NICE!👍🤞🙏
Man here doesnt comment on the mad maintenance prices on quite a few of these cars. Not to mention that several of these are known to constantly break down.
is ford mustang any worth? it looks very good, are powerfull enough, but reliability is what Im afraid of.
also is Nissan GTR reliable?
Tesla model S 2014-2015-2016 isnt that expensive, conisdering its EV and quite powerfull. Seen with good range 400-500km ratio ones. Its a bargain in my opinion when comparing that to these.
Also the mustang is hideously bad at handling and the build quality is gash!!!!!
10k per year maintenance costs, 5-10k occasional fixes. 2k yearly service. 1k insurance.
< 10 mpg
I hope you enjoy putting your foot down.
11:37 Do the Math Rory! Do the Math! 800HP Stage 5 GTR is a bomb waiting for a dumbass to touch it and it'll explode. HR should give you a stern warning for even suggesting something like this.
no amg, m, or rs car??
God have mercy on anyone legitimately buying a bentley worth less than 10% it’s msrp 😭
car prices in England are just absurd, the cheapest i8 in germany costs 54000 pounds and the cheapest R8 is 44000 pounds, thats 14000 pounds more expensive than in the UK. Does anyone know why the difference is so big???
It's not the price it's the upkeep
Lovely list of cars, but if you can't afford a new car, you probably can't afford to own and maintain all the cars here other than the Mustang and the Nissan GTR. Some components of these cars can cost close to £10,000 to replace. And a few of these cars are truly reliable.
Buying a cheap used Bentley is a terrible terrible advice. The repair and maintenance cost will make you go bankrupt. The same goes for pretty much every car featured in this list with the exception of the Nissan GT-R. As the saying goes "don't go broke trying to look rich".
The insurance is not the same, running costs are not the same, maintenance is not the same + one is brand new the other is beaten up.
A better idea - get 40,000 in cash. Find a old oil drum. Cut the top off. Put the money inside. Set fire to your money. At least you'll be warm for a while.
Too bad the prices in America aren't that good. You're lucky to find a R8 under 60k right now.
Still if a clutch goes in a 30k GTR you’re paying upto £10k 😂 I had a 67 plate GTR for that reason lower miles the better. Plus a lot of the cheaper GTR’s have had an hammering.
used i8 in Canada is $80k. Ferrari 456 over $100k. Preposterous! How/why are these so cheap in the UK?
The money people pay to rent (pcp) a new car these days is crazy. I will always buy used now
New cars are just way too expensive, always buy a slightly used one
Keep em coming Rory
