Man great idea! I've been visualizing concepts in my brain for this very install. You my friend, just saved me a ton of guess work. It's a blessing to have people like you posting this type of content. Thank you very much.
These manufacturers really need to include or at least make available an install kit for those that do not have cabinets above their stoves. Thanks for the video, saved me a lot of trial and error on how to mount the microwave.
Thank you! This is exactly what I need to install the venting microwave mom bought for over the stove--where there's neither cabinetry nor side wall to mount it with. This is awesome! :D
You made that look easy, that's fine job. I have been doing maintenance for 10 years never would have thought to build wall insert shelf. Keep pumping out those videos they are so helpful. Hopefully we can talk soon 👍
Thank you for video. So you screw straight down into the angle steel. But then doesn't the screws shaft get in the way of the rear of the microwave from going flush against the wall? Or, did you screw right through the L angle into the microwave? Or, was screws end was short enough that the top of microwave slid below the end of the screw. Just trying to figure out what you did so I can take the easiest plan.
I'm looking at doing the same thing but there are no side cabinets or side wall. I have to mount to a painted block wall so it should certainly be strong enough. Thank you, good info, nice job 👍
Should re upload this video with the title floating microwave but no matter I'm thankful for finding your video my customer has no cabinet above or beside witha copper hood above that he wants gone and for the life of me I haven't been able to figure out how to do this I'm going to show him this video if he's into it this is how it's getting done Thank you for making this video
you are so welcome Kyle, it's a simple fix and it works long turn. I did this with NO cabinets in some high-end units years ago and there still doing good
I absolutely love this video brother. My biggest take away was "sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do".😂😂
Man great idea!

@@ryanroberts3822 Yes, I did use this method to mount my microwave oven and it worked great. Super solid and discreet as well.

I use short self tapping screws. It's all good man.

Any list of materials available. Loved this video.

I hope this video helps you
Never seen this trick Ray . Thanks man
thanks you
Great video! Just what I needed to solve my problem
Glad it helped!
What kind or size screws did you use to mount the angle iron to the flatstock?
🔥
Great video !!! thanks
nice work
Thank you!
Nice video!
Thanks
What would you do if the boss wanted the microwave to vent out the top to a roof vent? I like your idea except for where you block the exhaust vent.
Its not necessary to vent out (roof) mostly that would be a home owner wanting that not apartments . The majority of microwaves vent inside.
Covered the vent and microwave blowing out the top the blower motor could be rotated to blow it out the front
Great
Exactly what I needed!
cool I am glad I could help
Good design is it for sale
Good job I like it👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥
