What do you mean you can't report it to children's services so you instead just told your boss? There is absolutely no law preventing you from reporting any crime, especially abuse that happens to the more vulnerable among us such as children, the elderly, and the disabled. Even conversations that are protected such as those you have with your attorney or doctor are actually required by law to be reported when suspected abuse is occurring or likely will occur. I'm not trying to scold or troll you, I just wanted to give you a heads up in case you unfortunately encounter anything like this again in the future.
I start my new job as apartment maintenance and these videos are a big help in getting me prepared 💯
How did you get the torsion bar out of the old control arm?
Honestly that’s not even bad from some I’ve seen
Nice work with everything. You have no idea how lucky you got with that moen valve. Those metal cartridges are known to come apart like yours did but then the other part is so stuck in that you need to tap it and use a bolt to remove it. It sometimes ends in entire valve body replacement. You can use the plastic cap that comes with the new cartridges to twist the old one back and forth before pulling it out.
@@everythinghomerepair1747 i have had my share of bad ones, and i have a tool for removing the really bad ones.
A tip for the gaskets staying in place is to put a dab of super glue or ca glue. I don't know how many times crap like that moves on me.
I get the drain pain! At least you have a rotorty tool to cut it instead of a hand hacksaw 💤. That new m12 rotary tool has some gusto i now have both and the new one is extremely close in power to a die grinder. Lining thoes drains up sucks and it's always angle for me. There so picky jit ends up being tilted toward or backwards a tiny bit. Just take a breath and move on is all you can do. Agree completely I've never gotten a 40 year old brass drain out without cutting the drain puller and 4ft breaker bars can't do it it won't work. I've broken a drain tool in half and still don't come out. Back to the Zen zone and I love that your property has access pannels! Everytime i attempt to do that in a apartment management says it's ugly and pays me to do drywall work instead. It's there money but saves money and time why not.
There’s a place in New Jersey that carries all kinds of sliding door and window hardware for just about every brand. They are called Swisco and they had stuff I needed for sliding doors that were around 25 years old.
@itsmemike1153 That's cool, but there is no name on the doors I have that's the problem. But these door handles will work.
13:41 she's a crusty one mr grinch 😬
You done a good job guy keep up the good work 👍👍👍👍💥💥💥
OMG, Tell me how it ends I can't look 😮
Ray you sure save me brother when I’m in a jam
RAY. Thank you for keeping us entertained. Hope your well. We appreciate any video. Doesn't have to be every day. Just love your content! In maintenance as well.
I had the same problem with one of them drain's pain in the rear.
Man this brings back memories of when I used to do clean outs in houses and apartments. It’s much more common than most people think. There’s almost always signs that a child lived in the hoard too. I’ve seen low income housing that just needed to be demolished all the way up to houses in upper middle class neighborhoods completely trashed on the inside but looking at them from the front you’d never be able to tell what kind of filth they’re living in. It’s a sad reality.
Sometimes plumbing beats us to death. Been there.
Good video! Keep on doing you. Thanks!
Thanks, will do!
You better go get your supplies because of the strike , everything thing is about to be on shortage .
Not anymore lol. That weak “tough guy” union leader backed down for a wimpy “deal” compared to what they were asking for. Looks like he might have received a phone call from someone high up saying to postpone the strike until after the election and the Florida disaster is fixed. BTW enjoy these low pre-election gas prices because they’ll be shooting back up a few months after the election.
Oh and Does anyone else notice how much faster he works when he lets Alvin, start doing the narrative 😂
Having had to change out a drain like that I can tell you from experience put a 2×4 block and some shims under it to hold it still. And for a bonus MOEN means Most Obnoxious Everyday Necessity
Yup
Like it delta is worth every penny just for the ease of the cartridges.
Great job on that drain. Sometimes when I have a job that should be easy and I start to get frustrated, I just have to walk away for a bit before it drives me nuts.
@DarwinWJ74 that's what I did, that's why it took 45min
@@Raysmaintenance haha gotcha. Sometimes It’s necessary for your own sanity.
I'm watching the video in my work truck, and my coworker sitting next to me sees the pictures you uploaded of the tenant who hooked up that pudding blaster. He was dying laughing. People will continue to amaze me every day. Hate it or love it, doing building maintenance will never cease to amaze me. 😂
Pudding blaster 😂😂😂
Hey, what's up, bro? I don't know why, but I just looked at my subscription list and for some reason I've been unsubscribed from your channel. I don't know what the hell is going on with UA-cam. I've been watching your videos for the last two years. UA-cam is getting shady, bro.
@@MP325.. there good for that
Why don't you get a stubby hammer. They come in clutch when you need one
that was a hammer just a small version lol
😂 they always work until the install 😂
Ray, the butt sprayer brought back memories. Upstairs neighbor had theirs explode because of water pressure and it flooded our apartment downstairs. We heard they had to pay for everything like you said. Good times man. Thanks for the videos. Keep rocking!
Have a blessed day Ray.
Totally been there! I was the maintenance man for a 98 year old church and office also on property a 75 year old school. I’ve got more skined up knuckles and elbows from trying to break loose old hardware and then have the hassle of trying to come up with parts that would work. It was a nightmare at times I know that drain gave you problems but you actually made it look easier than it was there was times I just had to walk away and come back another day to figure some of this old plumbing out. Great UA-cam channel love your material. Keep up the great work. Have a great day!!
So bad i wanted to go and hold the drain up for ya from underneath.. Great Job !
My patience would have gotten the best of me on that drain. I would have walked away for a while. Patience is a virtue I do not have! Good job ! Thanks for letting us tag along ! Have a blessed day !
Bro I feel your pain. I absolutely hate replacing tub drains.
I have learned when tasks go completely crazy to walk away and take a break for 20 minutes so I can clear my head. I return and complete the work. We have all been there and will be back again. ❤
Great video, Ray. I watch all your videos I do learn from them. I received a shirt, magnet, and key cjain yesterday. Thank you. Thank you, Thank you. Love your channel
Glad you like them!
What type of grinding wheel do you use in your dremel tool to cut the tub drain with another great video thanks Ray
there only one kind for the Dremel tool -- get at HF there cheaper there
@@Raysmaintenance great thank you 🙏
Its like Chinese water torture, when the water just keeps dripping, and you are working under it. Definitely have been there before.
lol
way too much anxiety watching the tub strainer install, been there and done that...
cool Beans Man!!!
I love seeing Amy person taking care of their stuff and organizing. It looks Great Atta boy😊
Geezuz!! People do not need to be that way or act that way. Shame on your boss for not calling CPS😢
How many units do you over see?

Holy smokes that snake is rough. I would not use that alot. Asking to bust some joints.
Hey Ray Every time I would change the clocks (Spring ahead & Fall back) I would change the battery's in the smoke detector. That gaming wheel cost good money, That the apartment with dog crap all over the floor I remember that one. Take care Ray
I have seen that a lot as an apartment complex maintenance man in my area.
What’s your other channel name?
keeping that one quite for now I will let everyone know when I am ready
Appreciate the Videos, got plenty of supplies now. Curious what brand of watch and watch band do you have? I like it because it has the big numbers on it. I know I think a little bit different from other people. Always looking at different things.
productive day for you! I will never understand people who move out of an apartment and just leave it nasty. I have lived in several rentals and apartments with my parents as a kid. we always clean it up the best we possibly can, that includes cleaning the carpets if we have the means to do so. why do people come into a clean well fixed up property and leave it nasty and trashed?? its disrespectful. I understand some wear and tear is normal but this is just pure disgust 🤢 im sorry you have to deal with that 🙁
Hello Ray. Don't stop making the videos, their good for you, keeps you busy, keeps you from having free time you will fill with something you don't want to be spending time on. 😉 Have you started another channel?
@ApartmentMaintenanceCouple feel you on the no time for anything else. I do have another channel but I am working on making videos for it before I tell everyone on here. lol I get enough negative here 😆
@ApartmentMaintenanceCouple and why are you not making any more videos?? 😆
Property management fail. They should’ve been doing inspections to catch the issue before it got this bad
@-Silly-Willy-0 I know - most managers never leave their office and wonder why the property looks bad.
@@Raysmaintenance ain’t that the truth
Appreciate the videos. UA-cam/Google treats creators poorly.
That apartment reminded me of the lady we had to evict earlier this year. She was a severe alcoholic. I remember the mountain of beer bottles and cans next to her bed that was almost waist high. Fridge packed with rotting food and just an absolute mess everywhere. Then I was packing some of her personal stuff she left behind and found an old picture of her and her presumable ex husband and child. She looked so happy and healthy. It's really sad seeing what addiction and poor mental health does to someone over the years
