We thought it was to be installed on the bottom of the cabinet! Finally it came together. We are no "spring chickens" and would not have figured this out without your video.
I don't comment much. This may be the first one. I have found youtube videos mostly not helpful lately, and overrated. They skip steps, don't explain everything, so you end up more confused. This is a clear message, and very helpful. Good Job.

I just finished installing two of theses Whirlpool low profile hood microwaves, one at my daughters home and one at our home. Your installation is spot on. The only thing to be concerned about is if you are venting to the outside the two options are a center rear wall vent or a top vent. If you have a wall stud anywhere near the center line then you must top vent. It’s great to have the extra 7” of space above our range using the low profile unit.
Dad and I spent 20 minutes looking for the 'installation template'. These geniuses decided to build it into the wall mount plate without telling anyone 🙄 Thanks for the informative video bro 👍

I installed a Samsung like this this morning. Went to open the door... it wouldnt open. I have a wall to the left of my range and the left side of the door contacted the wall. This whirlpool model has the hinge well inside the footprint of the oven. On my way to lowes to get this one!

Question: bc you installed unvented you just kept the slotted vent covers in place and didn’t use the solid mental ones that you pulled out of the box at the beginning right? Just wondering because … we’ll I don’t wanna fry my brain or something.
I got a Kitchen Aid low profile, took it out of the box, everything is exactly the same because it is made by Whirlpool. But without this video I didn't understand much of anything about how that mounting bracket is the template to drill thru the bottom of the cabinet but I do now. The printed instructions were just too complicated, they should have included a dvd or a download of this video. My cabs are the same, virtually everything is the same except I am going to vent out of the top to the roof. BTW Whirlpool/Kitchen Aid DOES have a video here but it about 30 seconds long and useless, they should be paying you:)
Did it myself. No need to install a power outlet in your cabinet. I just drilled through the sides of my cabinets & bought an appliance cord & ran to the closet outlet in my kitchen. Cat even see it.

Snagged this microwave on a black Friday deal. It's the best looking low profile microwave that I've seen. It also sticks out an inch less than other brands plus has stainless steel on the sides, not just the front. Your instructions were absolutely perfect. 1000 times easier to follow than the included instructions. Thanks for calling out the drill bit size as well, very helpful.
