Great looking recipe. I can’t wait to try it. Thank you for sharing.
It's my pleasure!
Oh wow! I got to try these on a trip to China several years ago and they were so good. Most restaurants that offer them always used an heirloom family recipe that you really can't blame them for wanting to keep lol. Thank you so much for sharing yours, Miss CiCi!
It's also so nice to see your comment! Have a wonderful weekend!
Love it! My grandmother was from Taiwan and used to treat us to these. Following this recipe this afternoon!

I just made these and they turned out delicious! I just had to leave mine in the oven for a bit longer
Wonderful! Glad you liked them! Enjoy ☺️🙏
Should I bake it for longer if my molds are a little deeper?
May i know what would be the recipe if i want to make about 6 -7 egg tarts? Thank you!
If I just want to make the shell, how much is the temperature 🙏
Beautiful! oh the egg tarts too :P

Many thanks 😊
When we lived in Shanghai we had Lillian's egg tarts and loved them. Ever egg tarts now is just not the same. Not sweet or missing something. Could you maybe share a recipe for those or share the difference in what you made? They look amazing and will definitely try them too.
Thank you for the suggestion! Happy New Year! 🎊
Thanks for sharing your recipe. Do I lower the temp to 325 and then only bake for 10 mins. From 400 to 325 takes some time so I wonder is the 10 mins part of 400F to 325 or only when the temp reaches 325 then bake 10 mins. Thanks
Thanks for the question! In a preheated oven, place the baking pan on the lower third of your oven. Bake at 400°F (204 °C) for 10 minutes. Then lower the heat to 325 °F (163 °C). Bake for another 10 minutes. Turn off the heat, open the oven door, leave a gap, and rest for 5 minutes. I hope this helps. ☺️
Do I have to filter it?
But I love this ❤❤ ✊🏽
☺️👍
Can I steam the filling if I don’t want to eat the crust? If so, how long should I steam it for?
Maybe you could try a crime brûlée recipe?😊
😨😧😦😮😯😲🤯😱, WOWZ !!!!! you had twins, ♥️♥️♥️♥️, ✌🏾
I have 2 girls. They are not twins. ☺️
Can you teach how to make coconut tarts
Thanks for the suggestion! ☺️👍
Can I keep unbaked tart shells in fridge or freezer?
You did not explain why it was necessary to filter the eggs solution right before filling up the tarts?
My apology! So the egg tart will look nice and smooth with no bubbles on top.
May i know why mine filling when i cut it there are bubbles inside the filling
Hi there! If bubbles appear on the surface of the custard, this could be a result of trapped air bubbles or too hot an oven temperature. Solution: Make sure the custard mixture is cooled to room temperature before filling in the tarts. I hope it works out!
💖👼🏻🌺
☺️☺️☺️
Where did you get the tart molds from
Amazon 😀
@@CiCiLi could you send me a link to the site where you got the molds
nooo mine got stuck in the molds 😢😢😢
I'm sorry to hear that! Here are two things that you can try next time: 1. Grease the molds with butter. 2. Wait until slightly cool and then take out the tarts. I hope you enjoy the recipe anyhow. Best wishes! 🙂
The tarts didn’t cook. Should it cook a little longer?😮
What is the measurement for the sugar in grams plz? One Tbsp can mean a lot of different things as it's not a standardized measurement. Also how much is 1 cup/ 1/2 a cup in grams? In one part of your recipe you list 2 cups (240g) of all purpose flour, but then 1 cup of hot water (240g). For your evaporated milk it lists 1/2 cup (126g). This doesn't make any sense.
