I have been friends with David for about 16 years in counting. He is a wonderful person, golf coach, mentor, and friend. I had the pleasure of capturing a great lesson I received from him this summer & I wanted to share it with you all! I hope you enjoy the video & have a great week!

Towards the end he had you look at the straight away position on the downswing. What were you supposed to see? Is it still inside and parallel on the downswing like it is in the “move away”?

Years ago he told Nick Price to place a ball along the target line behind the ball and in the move away you push the ball back.

I bought one of these before this video. However this should be on his website. I was working on the early Faldo preset drill and struggled with hook or push. This device helped it, but couldn't understand how the ab core turn would move the club parallel, so used my hands too much.. I guess it's different for all. That side ab turn was a nugget! Now do one with a driver and this device. A billion dollars..
I bought the gadget and its helped quite abit.

the "move away" is exactly what i use to do when i started playing golf, i was an awesome mid to short iron player, then i employed the butch harmon wide take away...been a 15 year mess still in the making

It's easy to misinterpret swing advice especially if you read it in a magazine or watch something on a video. Plus it could be something you're already doing okay that doesn't need fixing. I know from experience, been down that rabbit hole 😂. My point, it's definitely worth getting lessons from a good instructor, especially with today's technology to help. I love watching golf instruction but these days I won't necessarily incorporate everything I watch. That said David is a G and he's correct, start the swing correctly and you certainly give yourself a mutch better chance of staying synchronised and hitting a good shot.
Once you get that feeling of moving the right side of your core, up, on the takeaway you get the feel of how to swing. It's surprising how much your core movement matters in the swing or rather the "sling".
I got it a month ago I will say it has improved my contact by 70%, I really don’t have bad shots anymore I have miss hits
Tried to order the Straight Away training aid but it seems that it can’t be delivered to the Uk ???
Does this equally apply to Driver ?.
I like what Moe Norman called these golf swing "coaches." He called them a bunch of 80's shooters.
David was recently the head of instruction at our club. A total class act and I hope he finally has his foot all fixed up!

I was shooting 105-115 a couple weeks ago and watched this video and a few others where he taught this take away technique. I’m now shooting 85-90. I was topping my irons and rolling them. Now I hit them all im the air and have very few poor hits. Occasionally a toe shot if my set up is too far back. It’s been amazing and changed my game
Why does David describe A Swing components, but never uses the term now?
A-Swing is so 2016. Sales of books and DVDs maxed out years ago so time to move on to the next gimmick.

I love CEO, but this was an infomercial. He was going to promote that device regardless of what CEO’s swing looks like.
He plugged it hard lol but I do genially still use this aid a lot to help the club get in front of me in the downswing. He goes on to talk about that towards the end of the video!
Yeah he sure does love to talk. And always seems to take forever to hit actual golf balls. Good work CEO for perfecting that fake laugh.
It's the same thing in every single video he's in where he gives a "lesson." Good Good, James Robinson, Chris Ryan, the exact same thing every single time.

Interesting and informative, however David seems to “not be a method coach”, but all this great information is given to accomplished or beginner… so am I missing something? And same “magic gadget is this years “thing”…

Watch CEO’s swing at the beginning of this video in slow-mo and you’ll see that the swing he has at the end of David’s “infomercial” is essentially the same. While I think the “straight away” can help people with really bad backswings, it’s not really accomplishing anything here at all.
There are better you tube videos dealing with the takeaway and you don't have to buy a gimmicky advice.
This man taught a few good good players this same drill and those videos plus this one completely changed my game. He is legit

If you remember several years back, Ledbetter was selling some kind of "revolutionary new swing" that was steep looking. He got a hold of Lidia Ko and she lost it and had to get deprogrammed back to her original awesome self.
Swing your arms back freely, keeping your hands still and your clubface square. It's not rocket science. An always square clubface produces a professional golf swing. An out of square clubface produces a flawed golf swing and all manner of mishits. What he is doing is showing typical golf teacher mechanical backswing nonsense. Not a single pro golfer plays golf this way.
His teaching completely changed my golf game. The point is to start out mechanical and then gradually make it fluid. I don’t ever top the ball anymore and have added so much distance and accuracy. I never used his clip on tool, just the takeaway and rotation teaching
