My AUTO 2012 Corvette Grandsport with newly installed Texas Speed stage 1 N/A LS3 camshaft and Texas speed longtube headers. The torque converter is stock. Cold start and a warm start. Comment below and tell me what you think!

FYI: I was this video was the reason I pulled the trigger on this cam. Plus the fact that it worked well with my blower. Posted mine on the tube as well. Have gotten a lot of compliments on this cam. Driveability is good but really needs a small stall to make it shine.

Did it end up sounding like this? I have an ls3 camaro and i have to pick a smaller csm because my heads are milled.... i want it to chop like this and have good mid range power

Sounds really nice! I’m waiting to install my Texas speed stage 1 cams also on my 2014 Chevy ss sedan , so hopefully it sounds the same!! Was it a big difference from when it didn’t have cams sound wise?
I know someone with a 2014 SS, LSA Supercharged with TS stage 1 cam, headers with high flows, straight piped from cats back, doesn't chop any like this, but sounds mean, still.
What kind of power did yours make with this cam ? I’m running a similar setup but with the Tick Performance Stock stall cam, I think yours is a little bigger though. I made 430 whp on a 100 degree day

Yeah me to man I just bought a house in New Franklin and I just bought a 87 Camaro that I'm about to drop a 6.0 in it and a 2010 dodge ram with the hemi I just put headers and full exhaust on it with no cats in the ram sounds pretty good not like your vet tho man that cam and exhaust you have on that thing sounds so good together
i have this cam in my 6.0 L96 swapped in a 05 chevy blazer and yea its pretty mean sounding,i still need my tune too.

Driveabilty is actually great! Only surges when it’s cold in open loop but that’s to be expected. When it warms up it’s great!

Hey man! Love the car! I have a 2011 c6 automatic corvette 6.2L and im thinking about getting this cam so i dont have to change out converters. Since you got the same engine as me i wanted to see if you could give me the specs and the pushrod lengths you went with. I have about 69500 miles on mines so idk if i should change lifters or what. Please let me know! Thanks!
I have 60k on mine and didn’t change lifters, my pushrod length was just the 7.400 that came in the the kit. Cam specs are 225/236, .629/.615 and I went with the custom 113 LSA. And thanks man I really appreciate it! Subscribe if you don’t mind as I’ll have more videos on it in the future!

I just ordered the same cam from Texas Speed but I went with the default 114 LSA. What made you chose the 113 LSA?
The lower LSA will give you a bit more chop/rough idle and it also moves the power band earlier in the revs by about 200-300rpms

Hey man, nice ride. Sounds great. I’ve got a 2011 camaro SS automatic with the 6L80, I’m wanting to go with the same exact cam and obviously the LS3 conversion. Would this cam work well for daily driving? And you said you went with a 113 LSA?
Yes it works very well for me! For a vette, it’s very close to being on the edge of pushing through the brakes or not. But for a Camaro, since I believe the factory converters in those are a little higher stall.. I think it’ll be a perfect choice and won’t push through. It has a lot to do with tuning, but yes I think it would be a perfect choice.

Between the cam and headers, how much of a power gain did you get (estimated or dyno'd)?
Since no one answered cam alone can get you +70whp if you do a stage 2 cam with heads probably about +110whp
I just Bought this Camshaft for my car based on this video as well as a GPI port/Rod modded intake and ported TB. What was warm idle speed if you could share?
What car? Corvette? Did you dyno? Looking GPI or TSP stage 3 for my camaro.

It made 445rwhp 91ron and 466rwhp on E85 I ended with an idle speed of 925-950 made the cam sound nice and aggressive at idle. Was so easy to drive around on the street very mild mannered

If you’re doing all that, might as well do a converter too lol. It’ll only help it

ChangoLS3 A definitely muffles it a lot. Pretty quiet, but you can still hear quiet chops of the cam lol.
NO MODS thank you, it’s bc I’m trying to get some npp dual mode mufflers for my non npp so that I don’t get messed with by the cops 😂bc of the noise

i just installed this in a 6.0 L96 thats in my 05 chevy blazer with dual borla xr-1's damn it should sound pretty good,i hope so haha.and run pretty decent,5 speed hehe im working my ass off doing all the work alone so its taking a while,well not really,the part that slows me down is no parts,people need to ship the shit,i paid for you know lol,and summit sends the wrong stuff omg,im so tired of them.i guess they hire just anybody now days.i call and a girl answers no offense but really lol

Driveability is pretty good! Only on cold days it feels like it might push through the brakes but it doesn’t. It all comes down to the tune, very smooth!

Just put this cam on, I really need your help, when you’re downshifting are your downshifts super aggressive and jerky. I don’t know if it’s my tune or my torque converter or what but downshifting is almost impossible if I don’t have my foot on the gas.
That sounds like the tune to me. My down shifts are great, I’m not sure what model you have but I know Grandsport transmissions rev match themselves.

Just figured out I have to blip the throttle right after I tap the paddle and it’s super smooth. I’m guessing you don’t have to do that?

Call texas speed and get the professional advice, but I ended up getting this stage 1 cam because I didn't want to drop an extra $1,500 on a good torque converter and install on a street camaro. Stage 2 or 3 do require higher stall converters

LSXFAN 330 so does the car drive fine without a stall converter? Also have you gotten it tuned. How much did you spend all in?
It drives surprisingly good with the stock converter, although it was tuned very well too. I bought headers too, so it ended up being a little under 2k for the cam kit and exhaust.

No sir. I would have if the car was higher miles but stock pump should be fine for now.
