NOTE: At 3:00, I programmed the guitar track in Pro-Tools to DE-tune my guitar to F, then tune it back up.

I'm seriously crying right now. I got to meet Diego in 2018 at their Oregon concert at Hawthorne Theatre. I was taking a smoke break outside and he was asking the security guard if he could get in and take a piss. I said "dude, he's with Volumes the band, he's good" and he let him in and Diego thanked me. After he came back out, I asked for a selfie with him and the bassist and I got it! One of my best memories ever. RIP Diego.
My first time meeting them was when they played in MN promoting VIA after their set I went and talked to Diego and offered to get their band a bottle of grey goose. I think it was possibly Diego’s bday? I could be wrong on that part , but when I got the bottle back he gave me a big ass hug and then the band and some of the others around smoked and took a few pulls.

Can’t believe this. This hits hard. Diego’s easily 1 of the best music creators/songwriters/producers of my lifetime. Volumes inspired me to get into djent / metal when I was like 15 or 16. Been listening to Volumes almost every day since then (I’m 24 now). Didn’t know Diego that well but met him at the Cobalt Cafe when they were still playing at fairly small venues. It’s like he’s a good friend to me through his music though. Much love to Diego’s family and to Vteam. Looking at a Volumes wall flag hanging up in my room right now.

Legendary song. I would like to think that all of us heard at one point in highschool, out of nowhere and just fell in love with it. We held onto it, wondering if anyone else felt the same way about the song. Come to find out, we all were connected to it.

@peakkino 😔 I haven't. I did sort of learn the intro to Diary Of Jane by Breaking Benjamin but that was it. I only played for a month before depression and loneliness sucked me back in and I've been fighting it ever since. I've not had the energy or motivation to pick up the guitar again ever since. That, and I need a program or something to help me get the sound I want out of it, because I only have a speaker-Amp and I don't like the sound it produces.
@@ValkyrieLightwing sorry to hear mate. Depression ruined my life a few times over the years too. I hope you can pull yourself out of it eventually.
Look into getting Neural DSP plugins. They sound amazing and you can just run a cheap audio interface to connect your guitar. Easy amazing sound.
Or if you want something portable theres the Helix or the more expensive Quad Cortex. I havent used a real amp in over 7 years.
Song almost brings me to tears everytime I hear it. Diego was among some of the best by far. Just bought a 7 to relearn all these life changers for me. RIP

Dude was only 1 year older than me when he passed away. Why do the most talented mfs have to leave us so early? I will forever be grateful for the music he made. Via was on constant rotation throughout my teen years and I have A LOT of formative memories associated with blasting their tunes. RIP Diego.

I detune it with my Axe-Fx. My computer changes all my patches in real time. I programmed a detuned patch for that part of the song:)
