I consider title contenders to be teams with expectations to at least make their conference finals . After all , you have to make your conference finals before you can even think about the NBA finals . And then sometimes you get a team that just gets all the lucky breaks go their way and sneak into a conference finals like the Portland Trailbrazers did last playoffs but I don't think many considered them true contenders . People always seem to forget that the playoffs is a whole new season and anything can happen . Any team that gets to the semi finals has a shot and it a lot of the times it comes down to seeding and lucky breaks with player injury status for any team . Theres many teams that won the title by getting lucky with the path they were blessed to get to make the finals and then theres many great teams that just couldnt catch a break what so ever. At the end of the day , it always boils down to who truly wants it more .
@@717jeezy Eh, there were many of those in the 90’s, or teams that had the talent to do so. Memphis started out so strong in that series then all the sudden looked like they were tanking. That was one of the more peculiar series ive seen in a long time. No way the nba would have let memphis beat GS that year and sadly cuz that was memphis best season, or at least one of the top 2 or 3

Great video guy ;)
That game 7 against the Spurs In the first round that was Chris Paul's best game ever and that shot his career defining shot and is the most clutch moment in franchise history
I missed this series, since I was watching the Memphis/Golden State series. It's sad that a team with 3 all nba players never got to the conference finals.
Memphis started out so strong in that series then all the sudden looked like they were tanking. That was one of the more peculiar series ive seen in a long time. No way the nba would have let memphis beat GS that year and sadly cuz that was memphis best season, or at least one of the top 2 or 3
I feel Kevin McHale deserves credit for pulling this one off - sure people dismiss this as a fluke, but you gotta have a coach who has courage to put Josh Smith & Corey Brewer on the course at 4th quarter in an elimination match like this
1 you didn't mention the Hawks as a contender even though they were the 1st seed in the whole league while you considered team like the Wizards and Raptors contenders
2 Even if they made it to the WCF Warriors had their number that year winning 4 games against them in the regular season
Why aren’t the hawks included in the contenders? Yes, their coach cant adjust in the playoffs but they’re a better team than the wizards that time. They’re the 1st seed in the east!
Josh smith and Corey Brewer were the duo Dwight Howard and Harden could’ve been, for that game at least
Lakers will always be the best LA team and the Clippers will always be the little brother
The cursed team
2020 clippers "hold my beer"
3:00 Chris bosh suit is crazy
Now this team is the biggest disappointments
Nah I remember people were saying the reason why Clippers choked in Game 6 was because they lacked depth. Jamal Crawford was their only consistent bench player, which is why Blake Griffin looked so gassed by the end of Game 6. You forgot to mention how Austin Rivers was getting hyped up because he was cooking James Harden, but was a no show in Games 6 and 7
