When I do a vlog segment, I use my iPhone SE on a cheap-from-Amazon selfie stick. All alone
Asus flip
Is this vlogging setup workable with android phone? I feel like every smart phone camera setup tutorial shown is all iPhone-based
I bought the nice rig mirror , I can’t get this on at all ??
I am using iPhone 13, but the front camera. I would love to start using the back one, but it's hard to shoot without seeing yourself. Any advice, Omar?
I have to say this. I love the way you present your material. You don’t act all hyped up. You are very matter of fact. You don’t talk too slow or too fast and all your instructions are easy to follow. This was a great video. Thanks for all your great content!
Same. He is really good at explaining things.
Your contents are very helpful. I’m a blind UA-camr that lost his sight last three years to an armed robbery attack. Your advice I’ve been very helpful. Your videos are really helping me in my channel
I haven't watched the full video yet, but i want to thank you for filming this video WITH the very equipment you're talking about. I've watched so many of these videos where the people talk about the set up and how great it is, but do it while using a high quality DSLR.
A tip for anyone considering getting the screen mirror… If you have an Apple Watch, you can connect your phone to your Apple Watch and it will broadcast what your phone camera is showing. It’s more compact and convenient. Happy shooting! :)
Do we have any android alternative?
Thank you! 💕
How do you do this?
just about to order the mirror when you came up with the apple watch i tested it and it works great thanks.
@@PearTreePictures1950is it easy
It’s always so tempting to want to drop huge amounts of money on a “real” camera rig but this. This changes things 😂 it has that people aesthetic and feel while not draining your bank. I think we can all appreciate that. Great content! Thank you!
This costs $1191!! Maybe that camera doesn't seem so expensive now.
Are you counting the cost of the phone? 🤨
Don’t spend a ton and buy a camera unless you are really professional and actually use it like a wedding photographer
This video came right on time! I’ve switched from my heavy 80d to my iPhone 13 pro max for vlogging and wanted an option to see the screen while using the back camera. Thank you!!
jesus Christ I wouldn't have dreamt of starting my youtube journey without you guys. Thanks Think. Omar. Sean. Heather. And all the other lovely people there!
Nice! Recording with your smartphone really is the way to go when starting. Definitely the easiest way to go. There are channels out there that just use their smartphones to create videos and they have some great content!
Solid video as always! Thanks Omar and Think Media team 😃❤️
Thanks for sharing this. I’m sort of in the same boat where I’m blown away with the quality of the iPhone but am having some pretty big issues with wind noise. I am using the Moukey with a wind shield but haven’t been impressed with it. I’ll look into the MV88 and see how that performs in the wind.
I’ve been look for a view finder for iPhone. Thank you so much
Wow! I love that mirror ❣️.
One thing I love about vlogging with a smartphone is that it doesn't ring a bell.
A smartphone video rig and a boya by-mm1 or m1 is also good and cheaper in my opinion.
This is right on time! I will be leveling up my PHONE ASAP! That mirror is a real game changer
This is great!! I’ve been an advocate for using your smartphone camera throughout the pandemic, particularly at the start when we were all isolated, for individuals from companies who aren’t self-confessed tech nerd video types like us, because they already know how to use them. The big drawback was always having to use the front facing camera for them to see me directing them or software bridges to turn their smartphone into a virtual camera. Plus the added challenge of plugging in mics to the port for better audio meant they were essentially then deaf too! I tried all sorts of fudged, DIY set ups, also using mirrors to try and help with eye line into the camera but most proved just too challenging for the average user! THIS however, surely must be the most practical and easy to use set up there is! Thank you! (Audio sounds AMAZING BTW!)
I’m definitely getting the mic for my vlogs, the sound is very clean in this video. 👌🏼 Thank you.
I’m in a bit of a creator depression from both of my channels and this information is so valuable. I definitely want to expand my career as I do enjoy creating content. But quality over quantity I understand. I subbed! Looking forward to learning more! Thanks for what you’re doing!!❤
I clicked on all the links and came up with this:
Mic - $131.88
Lightning extender - $15.50
Lens - $270.00
Vlogging kit - $39.95
Seflie Mirror - $25.58
Total Cost (if you already have the phone)
$482.91 as of 8-6-22
Awesome setup guys! Thank you for doing this video! The content filmed with this setup looks really good!
And zv e10 is 700 😮 i am still thinking what to do spend more $300 or these accessories
@@Lifeline0227 I'd rather buy the camera
The lense is way to expensive and so is that mic, the cost does not justify what your getting.
Thats insane prices.. I would just get a budget action cam, more compact & practical w great stability. The lens, mic and even the phone is just too expensive.. Never understood ppl using expensive iphone, it cost more than many Sony/Canon cam. Simply ridiculous..
Dude your reviews never disappoint! Thanks for this cool tech gear setup!
OMG the screen on top *solves all my problems!*
Pretty awesome, huh? Keep crushing it!
@@ThinkMediaTV Thank You :) constantly learning from you all :)
@@DhruvCanada you can also use your apple watch to frame your shot. Works with default apple camera app and filmic pro.
Love the video! Can’t wait to start recording and for my Moment Case to come in this Friday! Thank you for the inspiration!
Clicking through for the mirror! I've been wondering too about a better microphone setup so this is awesome, thanks!!
Wow, that was information-packed. Thank you!
This information is just what I was looking for! Great video.
Omar, your know how videos are awesome and truly informative and I’ve learned quite a few things specially with this one to start using my phone as a camera as at the moment it is way out of my budget. Thank you for sharing al this content, you guys are awesome!!! 👍👍
This is great, I love that you shared this setup with us.
Love the rig for using the rear camera. Now I need to see if a moment 18mm is better than the wide angle lens on the samsung ultra 21
Thanks for sharing this, Omar! A few years ago, I was using a Canon 7D to shoot 1080p, and edited with iMovie and Premiere Pro. Now, you and Nolan have inspired me to use my iPhone (SE 2nd gen) and Lumafusion. I do everything on my phone, which, at first, did show me down a little. I’ve been able to pan and zoom in post -thanks to 4k. Thank you so much!
🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
This encouraged me I have the same phone so thanks 😊
this is the video i have been looking for...thanks alot!
this is awesome! thanks so much!! seeing myself is my biggest need
This video is so incredibly helpful! Thank you so much!
Ugh thank you i have been so gun hold on getting a camera because in my UA-cam career I think it’s time lol been using my iPhone and get annoyed by the quality cause I’m using the front cause i wanna see myself. but I finally decided on a camera only for them to not be available anywhere I will just use this. This entire video looks amazing. Being filmed with the gadgets…
I love when you’re on here. Shhh… don’t tell the other guys 🤣
Omar. I am loving this video for a very specific reason and a bonus one, too. Primarily, I've a den where I create my UA-cam content. I like the idea of building from what I have; as opposed to the idea of buying the latest and greatest of everything. That is not in my budget.
Secondly, I do have a very nice iPhone SE that I got with my Comcast subscription. I do like the phone. However, it's not as good as it can be. I really needed to know how to build up from what I have; not DON't have. I'll be cheking your links, later. At least, I can put that cheap Ring light with tripod to some goo use. It has a gripper for the iPhone. I also have a case that I'm using, now.
Wooooow THANK YOU 🙏
I simply love your video style, truly refreshing and creative.
Man this was the perfect video today to help me save money. Thanks for posting this. The mirror is an awesome idea.
I've been searching this video and informations for EVER 😭 thank you!!!!
Thank you so so much for sharing this
Another homerun by Omar! Thanks!
really valuable video thanks for sharing
This is goooold🤩❗️ 🌟 thank you🙌🏻
7:24 was a huge point for me - I hadn't even thought about using the back camera for vlogging. Thanks!
Very informative. I found everything i needed to know in a single video. Thank you
Super humble, informative and friendly. 10/10
💙Thanks for the great video Omar and can you upload a video on the settings we should use on the Shure MV88 mic for vlogging?
I followed your steps and I am so happy 😊 thanks for your content really supportive 💗
Thanks Denise!
Dude, this is so refreshing and what I’ve been wanting to see on ANY channel for so long! At last a tuition on filming whilst on a golf course. Loving the rig setup, that’s great. When I upgrade from XS Max to iPhone 13 I know what to get.
Currently if I do ever use the phone it’s just a cheap bendable tripod with a Rode iPhone Mic with windmuff. Or I sometime use my Benro Gimble as it’s the only one on the market that I can plug an external mic into the body of the gimble with a 3.5mm jack.
Could you please advise me or even more selfishly do a vlog on what camera would be best for golf clogging please? Both for solo bloggers like myself, or the times I can get someone to do the camera work? I’m currently using the Panasonic HC-VFX990 and most use the Cannon M50 as what seems to be the UA-camrs go to camera. But would the Sony ZV-E10 be a better option? And if so, what lenses Would be best, if I decided to do talking head shots whilst walking between shots as well as down the line clogging for shots etc?
So glad I found this channel! Lots of useful information!
🔥
Wow man!!! Perfect video. I want to increase my golf vlogging and you really spoke to me on this one. Wish you showed some ball hitting footage to see how it looks and sounds!
Oh my goodness, amazing.
Thanks for sharing
I made my own mirror hack using a magic arm. Then realized I preferred using the front camera on my Note9 as it softly filters out facial features vs the harder images coming from the rear camera.
Great tips!
Very well presented. Very useful tips. Thanks for also including android. The audio is awesome (that is one of the issues I am fighting with right now)
That's the great share ideas. 👍
Thanks for such a great video! I have a question for you. What resolution are you using to recording your videos? I do have an iPhone 13 pro max and want to have the same quality as you have on yours.
Your videos are helping me to create my own content. Thanks.
I have such a shopping addiction and I love everything camera related so this excites me because I really don’t need to buy a new camera. I just wanted something lighter than my canon rebel eos t7 to carry around when I’m traveling through the city. The city being NYC, I just moved here… so it’s really no shock that I want to capture ever moment. Thanks for this awesome video. I’m so excited to start my vlogging process
This is super useful! Thanks so much for doing this video 👍🏻
Great video!!! Yes storage capacity is a must for sure😊 Ty
It’s great & informative video.we learn more! Thank you for sharing .
Awesome need to try this with my iphone 11
Thankyou! i brought the iphone 14 pro last week and I wanted to start vlogging this is so smart !
Thanks for the links!
Thanks for the introduction to the Niceyrig! Perfect solution!
Thank you for your insights, very informative.
thanks for sharing your idea sir god bless
Great video! I just bought the Sure mic and stand setup! Thank you for breaking this down and offering actual quality recommendations! What do you do for lighting? Do you find that the LED attachments suffice?
I thoroughly enjoy these type of videos when you make them. I learn so much and I always end up buying some add ons.
I have a quick question: I purchased the selfie mirror and I have the Manfrotto Tripod from a previous video. How or should I ask what do I need to get to connect my mirror to this particular tripod?
Thank you in advance.
thank God for you man that i came across this channel now im gonna buy my own rig. 👍
I love love this!!
Great video pics & sound quality is very 👍
Excellent video! Thank you for sharing this.
Phone cameras are sick … i got myself an iphone se 2 because it does 4k camera and im so happy i did .. i dont carry my camera around all the time and its amazing to just take out an record maybe some broll or if i catch something intresting … amazing time to be alive … amazing video as always Think 🔥💯
Thanks for that valuable feedback! Keep crushing it!!
Thanks for the advice! I watched so of you reviews on actual cameras, but I think this would be a better option than investing in an actual camera imo..
yo, this was so helpful!! Thanks for making this :)
This video is so helpful. Thank you!
Sound is great ❤
Nailed it omar 💯. I'm waiting for my sony zve10 from almost three months and still not available. Definitely getting the stuff you mentioned 🙏🏽
Nice! Keep crushing it!!
Awesome video this is 🔥 🔥 🔥
Thank you for this video!! I thought that I had to buy an expensive camera to get the quality that I wanted! I do have an iPhone SE so it’s not the best quality. I’m def getting that mirror! Thank you!
Thank you. 🙏🙏🙏
Yo, sup Omari, just found your channel, thanks for the straight forward no nonsense thorough info, video is great too
Hey partner great video! And I’m loving the Tom Fords they look good on you!🤜🏽🤛🏽👍🏾
Dope video! Thank you for sharing
:43 great par five Sun City!!
Thanks for this ✨👑💜
Excellent setup. I feel like the moment lens put it over the top a little bit considering the price but overall the is the best use of the iPhone for flogging I’ve come across.
That mic is impressive. The other accessories seem great too. Appreciate the vid
Great video! I bought that mirror mount for my setup as weol
Let's go!
Hey, thanks a lot for the video! What about recording vertically with this mirror? Is it good for that as well? Thanks again!
You are Awesome 🎊 Thanks
This video was so helpful. Thanks a lot for this 🙏🙏
Appreciate you!
thank you its very helpfull.
Great video. Really appreciate the information. Wondering when you are vlogging with an iphone as your camera are you using a teleprompter, or did you memorize your script (you mentioned on a different video that you did prep and have notes). If you do use a teleprompter can you share what you use?
Great video 💗🌷
I use my front facing camera so I think I’m definitely going to invest in that mirror monitor so that I can start using my back camera. Thank you
This is GOLD you’re the GOAT for this man changed the game
Thank you ,for the great information. I am interested in taking your course.
Thank you
Good instructions. It's easy to follow. Awesome
Thanks for that valuable feedback!
Hi, Very good video. clear audio, good video, good content, and most importantly, plain simple information. My question is, can I use the mic you suggested in this video for my home setup as well if I'm using my iPhone?
