Great video, it reminds me of back when I could fish near the dam. Unfortunately dumb people doing dumb things ruin it for the rest of us. Most of our dams have a bouy line so you can't get close anymore.thanks for time you guy's put in
That’s how it is in Arkansas. You can’t get within like 100 yards of a dam. They even buoyed off a bridge where a creek runs into my local lake because incoming current was to fast. It’s pitiful some of the best fishing can’t get within a mile.
Thanks Tim! I fish the Tennessee River below Nickajack and this video was the most helpful and enjoyable yet because it keyed in on exactly how I fish. Appreciate ya!
Drums, catfish and carp test the quality of your gear. When I bought the Shimano Poison Ultima, paired with the Shimano Stella, spooled with 8lb test Tatsu Fluorocarbon, my first big fish caught was a 16lb orange Grass Carp. That fight told me more about the equipment than any bass I could have caught. Congrats on a great day of fishing and happy new year to you, Matt, and your families. 👏🏿👏🏿🎣🎊🎉
@@mr.fatbasstard_--_ your reply shows that you clearly have no idea what my channel is all about. You may want to focus your comments on the video since Tim and Matt do great work trying to give you some fantastic content. 🎣
@@mr.fatbasstard_--_ Thank you for your very kind follow up. Thanks for the video! Goes great with my morning coffee. Tried strolling after your last video, my wrist is killing me! No fish 😟but I'll give it another try when it's not 30 degrees.
Tim, Fun to watch with good tips. Have you ever caught a bass with a lure after that lure has been slimmed up by a catfish?? I haven't. After many cast with the slime lure, I always change it and then start catching fish again. I always wondered if this was a real problem Or if it was actually just in my head and my confidence dropped. Guy
I’ve caught some catfish in saltwater and never thought to change the lure. Never has stopped additional bites on the bait. Interesting thought though.
@@softballbryan Thanks for the info. I don't fish salt water anymore. I've never called a saltwater catfish either. Twenty other species of salt water fish. When using bait instead of a lure It may be completely different. I was referring to fresh water bass. Happy new year. Happy fishing
what if you have a totally blown out lake from the entrance all through to the dam. no mudline ?what do you recommend i skunked hard today for the first time in a while it suckkkked..!
Yep I’ve got a new transducer here waiting to be installed. For whatever reason, I was on of the select few that got the interference after the last update. I was super bummed because I had my Mega Live DIALED. Their customer service took care of me though 👍
is that the glass 7'6 your throwing that mini rig on the glass or the regular 7'6 expride?? my imx pro UBR feels a little overkill for yalls mini a-rig and for the life of me i cant get my local fellas to get another 7'5 heavy zodias in. may have to add another expride to the box as it looked good when it was loaded up & stout enough to drive them single swimbait hooks home..
How do you not lose those Hog Farmer A Rigs using such heavy wire hooks and a 20# leader? That is about a $40 rig, I lost three A Rigs last year using straight 30# braid 🤷🏼♂️
We get them hung up sometimes too but get yourself a good heavy lure retriever. It will pay for itself the first time you get hung up. This is the one we use. bit.ly/3A8370q
I know it’s not what you’re after but for video entertainment purposes I love seeing different species caught in one video

That muddy and clear water transition that’s lit 😮❤️🎣
It looked crazier in person. Pretty cool!
thanks for showing the off target catches i enjoy those fish just as much as the bass
I would love to see these guys on a pro bass tour I feel like they would do really well.
Excellent presentation on less than perfect visibility.
I await my new A rig designed by Matt and you.

Hot spots, good fish ; very nice vid Matt! Tanks !

Very good video.
Very good video. Thanks for sharing. Enjoyed it while eating breakfast. 😋
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching!
Tennessee river system doesn’t have to must muddy water so far this year here at Kentucky River it pretty clear. Great video Tim 👍👍

😂wow huge catfish! Nice day of fishing
Learned something new today - don’t ignore banks where boat traffic has created a mud line!
Imma need a link for those shoes, Tim. 😂

I don't think you can try to bring in a fish any better than you did on that catfish. I thought you had a big ol bucket head on for a min....fun stuff

I wanna see you guys do this on the ohio river.
That's a serious mudline! Never seen any that obvious before

Tactical catfishing 😄
Come to lake Hartwell
Was it me, or did you get insane interference on Mega Live when you turned on the trolling motor at the 20:52 mark?
Yep I’ve got a new transducer here waiting to be installed. For whatever reason, I was on of the select few that got the interference after the last update. I was super bummed because I had my Mega Live DIALED. Their customer service took care of me though 👍
What’s your favorite gear ratio for medium (5-7inch/1-3ounce) sized glide baits? Love the videos guys
7.1:1 works great!
What kind of birds were in the closing scene?
Where is this looks like wats bar or fort Loudoun but can't tell if I'm imagining it or not
Nevermind lol I should of watched more before committing lol

The 7’5” SLX H was a real surprise for a heavier rig
7'6" MH - Regular
Im literally abt go leave to go to the lake rn im making breakfast then im going 😂
Dang you horsed that thing on 10lb line!😂
That line is so strong! I have the hardest time trying to break it off after I get hung up sometimes.

I would have kept that catfish...that's a dinner...
