I'm from MA. I see "winter fishing" on the internet from time. Click into it and it's somewhere down south where the water never freezes. I appreciate you fella's for putting out exceptional info
Appreciate you guys braving those conditions to make a video. No way my fat ass would be out there :) Went out a couple weeks ago and busted my butt when i fell on the iced up boat ramp. Thank God i had on a lot of clothes to absorb the impact. Still a bruised ego walking down to the boat!
I have lived in Tennessee my whole life and I have never seen it stay below freezing this long before! Never seen ice on the lakes before until this year!
nothing better than a Monday morning, watching Matt and Tim fight the snow and ice, while I’m at home, drinking a nice hot cup of coffee! Yes guys, we had the same thing happened on Lanier last week as far as all the rain. We are very close getting back to full pool again.thanks for braving the elements. God bless!
A+ for effort… don’t know what’s wrong with me but I love fishing in those type of conditions! I actually plan my annual fishing trip to Tennessee in between January and February!
SS Ice Breaker. Couple of my most memorable days are fishing in the snow catching a load of smallies. Thank you for sharing techniques and conditions especially the water temperature. Fun to watch.
Bought a 610 ML Expride and a 3000 Exsence this off season. Feels incredible. Gonna be a fun time once it’s ice out, thanks for keeping my fishing passion fueled during the winter months!
I remember some years ago I talked with friend who encountered the same conditions you both faced. What they did was tied on tube jigs and let it fall off the edge of the ice and let it fall down on slack line, they caught bass on that technique that day!
Just FYI I have a 2 inch limit on Ice as 3 inch thick the boat wants to ride up on top. Just FYI going Slow in an Aluminum boat it causes no damage. Nice you two were out and caught a few NICE TC Men
Man it’s a bucket list item for me to be catchen em while in a snow storm. Not just some residual snow on the ground or some little flakes, I want it to be coming down like it does in Wisconsin, those big flakes. Come back to the boat ramp with inches of snow everywhere & it was no snow on the ground to start the day. That would be a bucket list item. It’s actually not an easy thing to time it like that.
I can't wait for the ice to melt of the lakes around here. Fishing with tip ups is fun but I really need to get the boat out. You guys always keep me excited about the next time out.
Guys, great tip for ya: Wool fingerless gloves, hothands chemical warmer. Use some sort of wrap to hold it in place under the gloves. Not on your hand...ON YOUR WRIST. Same place where you would check your heart rate. Why? Add heat to the blood entering your hands helps warm up your fingers. It works. From a guy in Colorado.
I’m glad I’m far enough East where I don’t really ever get ice on the water. I wouldn’t be mad at living a little further West though because there’s several good lakes in the Raleigh-Durham area. The part of the state I’m in isn’t known for bass fishing. Most people that live near me are fishing saltwater offshore chasing tuna and grouper. Raleigh is about a 4 hour drive from me so when I can get a little tin boat or even a kayak, I’ll be making some weekend trips out there. Great video guys! It’s cool to see that you can still catch them in the 30s!
Surprised yall didn't run up towards the watts bar dam, figured where the current is there wouldn't be much ice! I lived there for 4 years, never seen it ice over so bad! Yall made it happen though, wouldn't expect less from you guys 💪🏻
Hahaha, welcome to my world!!! When your baits bounce, you have to throw top water! 😂 Don't feel too bad, we just got 8 inches of snow and 5 inches of ice in central Massachusetts. Thanks for the videos guys, I watch alot of fishing vids this time of year.
I catch a lot of drum and white bass in Ontario doing what you’re doing in late November/ early December! They seem to be pretty playful in those temps! I honestly love junk fishing and being surprised with whatever you pull up! 🤙🤙
You had the lake to yourself and you guys didn’t skunk Didn’t look too windy and you two were in the same boat so overall I would say it’s a fantastic outing
If I didn't know any better, I'd think you guys were in MI or upstate NY with those conditions...like y'all said, this time of year, take what you can get. Nice to see you guys back in the Champion as well 😁 It's awesome watching you guys work together on the boat, you can tell y'all been fishing together a long time. Great video fellas.
Wow that looks brutal, Clear Lake is fishing good Saturdays tournament five bags over 30 lbs. , 34.45 lb. for first place Paul Bailey. Trash fish...... Just saying that looks cold!!!
Hey guys, not sure if you guys are big gloves people, I know it’s hard to find gloves and still have dexterity. I started using the first lite trigger finger gloves and they are awesome. Not the warmest, but they cut the wind and cold just enough to be tolerable. Check them out!
I can see your problem already , you got coats on , your boat is postioned approxamotly , 1380 miles to far north ...😂 Its 59 degrees in florida but im still gonna talk smack on that cold ..😂 All you gotta do is ask , i'll take you fishing , its hard to get enough exercise into two boats , inshore or offshore ....we can do freshwater in either boat too ...my ranch is 45 miles from lake o
Hey Tim and Matt, awesome episode! I have a question, I don't do a ton of winter fishing bc the whole lake Freeze's here but when you talked about fishing the flats and seeing shad dieing off and flickering, would a small fluke work in that situation letting it just fall slowly and shimmy on the way down?? Thanks for all the tactical family does for us!
I can't catch fish in the summer much less the winter. I bought a kayak last year and started floating instead of bank fishing and it has been quite the learing curve that I haven't completely figured out yet.
Gies I have a question , I’m very interested in the entire 6th since rods line up …. Is there any way you gies could eventually give a feedback On why you gies think of there set ups ??? ( btw beast mode on getting it done while there literally ice on the water spring is close )
Looking to upgrade my trebles on dt6 dt8 and dt10 as the crankbait is heating up where I am at. What is the best treble hooks you would recommend to not hinder the action of these
Who is ready for spring?
lol
Me me me me me me me meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! 🎶🎶
I def am. Have 2 more months atleast of winter
🤗
🙋
Tim casting on the ice had my crying 😂😂

Thanks for going out guys.
I love this video. Shows even winter fishing with icy conditions is possible
So i am a little disappointed!!! Really thought you guys would be in Flip-Flops. Lol. Love this channel guys !
Thanks!

Well Tim and Matt, my NorCal buddies, I salute the San Francisco 49ers on their victory over my Detroit Lions. Watch out for next year NFC!!!
You two really are hardcore - great to see you out even in this very cold weather.!
A+ for effort… don’t know what’s wrong with me but I love fishing in those type of conditions! I actually plan my annual fishing trip to Tennessee in between January and February!
Oh man this looks like an adventure!!! Thanks for braving the elements!! Appreciate ya! 🤣😂The fishing on the ice was golden!
Well guys, now I think you both can give us northern guys a seminar on ice-out bassing.
👏👏It’s really cool to see Tim and Matt fishing the conditions we fish here on the East Coast every year, great job ❤👍
SS Ice Breaker. Couple of my most memorable days are fishing in the snow catching a load of smallies. Thank you for sharing techniques and conditions especially the water temperature. Fun to watch.
It was nice of Tim to loan Matt some shoes for the day.
Bought a 610 ML Expride and a 3000 Exsence this off season. Feels incredible. Gonna be a fun time once it’s ice out, thanks for keeping my fishing passion fueled during the winter months!
I acknowledge your greatness in persevering cold weather fishing.
Hard to believe that in a few months, you will have to endure hot and humid weather.
This is my favorite video of 2024 so far
Great winter video. Bassmd
Just wanted to say I really like watching you guys catch fish
Awesome watch these videos on lunch break keep them coming N J NY lakes are frozen
How cool, spots and snow. Something you don't see every day
Got to work and realized I forgot to watch TB this morning...🤧🤒...sorry boss I'm feeling sick today

I've been killing it on your guys' micro flex rig it really gets those pressured bass good stuff
Yes!!! Thats awesome! Way to go!! 🙌
I live up in New England so this is right up my ally , if it is not solid I'm trying to get out on it, awesome video
I got cold just watching! Even my hands hurt.
Matt is my spirit animal! 🤣
Yellow Fish, White Fish, Green Fish….. PURPLE Fish! lol Thanks for keeping it Real! You guys are awesome!

Matt I think you need to rock that steampunk villain look at 1:45 year round. 🤟🤟🤟

Just a little taste of what it’s like to be a fisherman up north.
Great job guy's! 😎

New title: When Cali Guys go fishing in a real winter. 🤣. You guys are going through it on this one!
That A-rig bass looks like it decided it wants to be a drum when it grows up.
LMAO Tim, " I got the kicker" , lol.
Maybe it's time to make a trip back to Clearlake, it's been pushing 70° for the last 2 days 😮
Excellent
I see Matt broke out the old Champion ice breaker
Champion 210 Ice Breaker rig! Better it than the brand new Skeeters I recon. 😂
Who cares if it's a drum it looks fun to me! Definitely better than catching nothing!
Now that's dedication! Not me buddy, 😂
I catch a lot of drum and white bass in Ontario doing what you’re doing in late November/ early December! They seem to be pretty playful in those temps! I honestly love junk fishing and being surprised with whatever you pull up! 🤙🤙
Yep, you boys like fishing
This definitely deserves a like, I'd be freezing my blubber off.
You had the lake to yourself and you guys didn’t skunk

I’m going to be fishing very similar conditions on Sunday in Wisconsin so hopefully I can at least catch a couple
That was a good video been there will send that drum footage to my brother he thinks he's the only one that happens to
Hand warmers, hand warmers, hand warmers 😂 they're your best friend for these types of conditions!
Awesome
That just reminds me of spring walleye fishn on the upper mississippi river lol
No flip flops today! Lol!
Days like that, I’d catch drum all day. 😂
Please do a review on the daiwa procyon line of rods. I would like to know if they are any good.
This was literally me last week 😂 I was plowing through the ice like titanic 😆
20:46 Tim with the dad jokes lol
Thanks you guys rock! I love to learn from you both and always appreciate you guys sharing and pushing forward. Thank you both. Looks cold. Enjoy
you guys are most definitely...we'll go with dedicated!! 😆
Wow that looks brutal, Clear Lake is fishing good Saturdays tournament five bags over 30 lbs. , 34.45 lb. for first place Paul Bailey.
Trash fish...... Just saying that looks cold!!!
Nice! Have you guys ever ice fished for bass? It can still be a lot of fun.

Looks like you may have got one of the ML transducers that shows trolling motor interference? HB sent me a new one within a week!

Thanks guys ,what was the air temp? I was wondering why that braid was not freezing up.

Did anyone notice there is a 20% discount going on at TWs
Did you give the Tactical DD a shot?
How the elektric vehicles are doing Over there now?
A rig on the bottom…. Did you have hooks on top side of rig? Or how do they get the hooked ones and not the dummies?
Don't feel bad. I caught bass through the ice all the time.
I can't catch fish in the summer much less the winter. I bought a kayak last year and started floating instead of bank fishing and it has been quite the learing curve that I haven't completely figured out yet.
How cold was the water in the lake?

I thought you guys had abandoned the spinning gear for all bfs 😏
Matt, what, no flip flops today? 😂
I've always wondered, do fresh water Drum normally fight like black and red Drum, or is their fight a lot less than?
Really want to know what bait/hook keeper you guys are using on those rods.
As much as i enjoy bass fishing, i have my limits 😂 i bet Matt has flip flops on inside the boots
Did you guys mention the water temp?
You guys should go ice fishing just to change it up
At How many feet do you have find bass??
This is when you tie on a 8oz flipping weight with a black skirt & start flipping & pitching..
Are you guys starting a second channel? TacticalDrummin
Guys what was the water temp
go punchin with a 2oz setup lol
Hey how do you rig a tird poop I make a one with no salt. How would you use it Please let meknow
That 42 degree water sucks.
