- The piece in today's furniture makeover was so sad looking! Stripped, broken, missing handles, and no top! She has gone from trash to treasure in this furniture flip. It was so much fun not only did I use colour on this piece but got to try my hand at stencil art! The transformation is stunning it definitely has vintage farmhouse cottage core vibes 🥰 hope you enjoy the video.
I upload a video every week be sure to subscribe & hit the bell 🛎 notification to get notified when I upload! Thanks for watching and I hope to see you on another video very soon.
Happy flipping!!

Sarah I always love the enthusiasm you bring to your work. You can tell how much you love what you do. This piece is fabulous, great job.
Ahhh Gina thank you friend…I appreciate you. Thanks for saying that, really! 🥰
Wait...that totally worked!🤣 We love how excited you get with your projects! Great idea for a new top. This one turned out beautiful. Great job!
I know 🤦🏼♀️ I was fully expecting it to go pear shaped 😆😆 well and I just love you guys! Thanks for the encouragement as always I appreciate you both Jim & Cindy
Sarah, you are really exploding creatively! This piece is genius. It’s not quite my cup of tea but I appreciate it’s beauty. You are rising to the top in both video quality and piece transformations. I’m grateful for your content.
Oh wow thank you 🥰🥰🥰 so humbled you think that honestly don’t feel creative and most of the time wonder if I’m going to be able to pull it off!
I also appreciate that it’s not your cup of tea ❤️ thank you for being kind 🥰
@@VintageAndPainted by not my cup of tea, I just mean it’s not my personal style. I would have nowhere to put it and have it fit my decor. But, I love it.
Absolutely love the finished piece, looks gorgeous 😍 excited for next week's video as I'm about to use paper on a set of drawers too.....might wait to watch you first now 😉😘
Ah thanks Janet! I wasn’t sure I was going to get it done the paper was a bit slow coming but should have it ready now 😆🤞good luck 🍀 with your piece
@@VintageAndPainted thank you 😊 I'll let you know 😉😘
I absolutely love this piece. I usually lean more modern, clean lines and never like red but this piece is perfection! You are converting me on red!
Same for me...not fun of flowers, stencils etc...but I love this piece!
Oh wow Crystal!!! you are a gem 🥰
thanks Chloe
I love your excitement when the stencils came out great! I was cheering with you! Another beautiful job ❤️
Hehe thanks Jessica...probably bc it went so pear shaped last time I was surprised I did it that time 😆
Oh, you will sell this so fast! I'm happy that you had so much fun stenciling because it turned out just fantastic! I love the raised bits!!!!
Thanks Gail 🥰 can’t believe it went as well as it did this time. 😆
I love this piece!! You did an amazing job and the top came out great!!
Thanks Velma happy you love it 😍 how are you doing?
@Fourfortyfive designs keeping busy. Hubs went into assisted living. I'll be flipping 'til i die!! 😄
I really love the way this turned out. Awesome technique with the baking soda. And it's a lot cheaper than some of the texture additives from the boutique paints.
You are so right…I’m very, well let’s say frugal (not cheap 😏😉) so using that as texture fits with my budget perfectly 😆 Thank you friend
Woah! Every piece you do amazes me! This is absolutely gorgeous, Sarah. 😍❤️😍
Ahhh Tarny thank you! Seriously!! 🥰
I love that you used texture and a stencil, this piece has loads of character! ❤
Hehehe I certainly threw it all at it 😆
OMG! I was a bit put off when you started with the bright red, but WOW! Love the texture, love the stencil, love the end result. Sarah, you’re such an inspiration. Thanks for sharing your time and talent 🤗🇦🇺
Sharon! So love this!! Yeah that red was very bright and it needed toning down 😆 seriously blow me away saying I’m an inspo 😆 I appreciate you
@@VintageAndPainted Sarah, you give so much of your time, share so much knowledge, how could you not be an inspiration! I think I’m right when I say, “We all appreciate you”
She's sooooo beautiful!!!!! You did a great job - she was so sad when you started. She's going to make some lucky person really happy soon. Bet she won't hang out at your place too long! ⭐
Ahh well fingers crossed 🤞 you are right Mea…I’m glad you think it’s beautiful thank you 😊
You did a WONDERFUL JOB!!!! It's a GREAT PIECE, don't get me wrong, it's just NOT my taste!!!!
Fair enough 🥰
Love it! It looks like something you see at pier 1. I'm working on some projects but not that layered. You can use instead texture stuff you had in the video but plaster Paris, wood putty, wall plaster or a texture medium stuff for canvas.
Ooo all of those sound good! I do have plenty of the dry wall plaster leftover 😊 thanks Riche’ for sharing and I’m glad you loved it
Love everything about your channel!!!! Especially you🥰 and your artistic talent
Ah Dorothy this is so lovely, thank you
Wasn't sure I would like it but was pleasingly surprised with the finished product . Great job
Ah thanks Kathleen 🥰
Remarkable transformation. Truly trash to treasure. Thank you for posting.
Ah thank you Anita 🥰
That piece turned out so beautiful. 👍😍Thank you for sharing.
Oh I’m so glad 🥰
Love this.....sort of AsIan style......however i watched the video twice and missed where you show and mention the bi-carb ...can you share the time of that ....i saw where it was on the trim but no mention of how much or technique
The time stamp for where I added the bi carb is 6:26. I didn’t mention measurements bc I don’t measure…just eyeball it 😏
Wonderful job!! Really love the shade of red & how you used baking soda to add texture to the piece. 🐨
Thanks Donna 🥰 using colour like that feels like jumping out of a plane to me 😳😂
It drives me crazy when you folks paint hinges!
K
The best video I have seen from you, congratulations!!!
Oh wow thank you
Good use of recycling table top for a top for the cabinet . Love your work and how you do your video's
thank you Jillanne
Really beautiful save on a hopeless piece of furniture!!!!!
Ah thanks Karen 🥰
Absolutely beautiful as always you never disappoint
Thanks Caroline you are always kind 🥰
Why didn’t you take the doors off before stripping and painting?
No reason just didn’t 😉
This piece is absolutely gorgeous-stunning really.
thank you Loraleigh
Absolutely love this!!! Hope it sells fast for you!! 💜💜
Thank you Alisa 🥰🥰 I appreciate you
I love it!! I’m not usually a fan of stencils but this is a winner!!
Oh wow Marcella that’s so lovely of you to say! Thank you 😊

Hahaha well thank you Lisa and WELCOME! happy you are here! I loved the way you described it made my day!
Holy smokes Sarah!!! Where do you even begin to imagine stuff like this?? Great job!! Hoping all is well, Dirty Jersey out!!
Dirty Jersey! Long time no speak mate 😊 how are you?
Huge thank you 😊
Hi Sarah. OMGoodness!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE what you did to this cabinet. That stencil is gorgeous the way you painted it. For never doing a stencil before, you certainly picked a very large beautiful one. I started watching your video's shortly after you started your page. Your confidence level has sky rocketed since then and I don't think there is anything you wouldn't attempt to do. You most definitely keep us all glued to our computer screens when watching your video's because you keep it interesting. As always, thank you for another GREAT video. Looking forward to next weeks piece. Enjoy the rest of your day sweet friend. 😊💜👍
Hahaha I know…go big or go home 🤦🏼♀️I keep just throwing myself into new things, no idea why 😆
I so appreciate that you have been along for the journey and that you would say that 🥰 it makes my heart very happy thank you 😊
Hope you are well friend…sending love 🥰
Your daring sense of exploration is BEYOND comprehension! All I see is beautiful piece after beautiful piece! I would be stalking your FB page if I lived closer!!!!!
Hahaha thanks Kelli 🥰 that blows me away. You’re the best
Wow!!! Wow!! Wow!!! This piece is Perfect and so creative!!
You have out done yourself AGAIN!
Ah Leslie 🥰 thank you friend
Sarah, This piece is absolutely gorgeous! When you started with the bright red, I was not sure how this would end up looking... BUT, wow, it came out gorgeous!
Yay Lori!! So happy you liked it. The red was out there for me 😳 and so it needed toning down for me to feel a little less out of my comfort zone 🤣
Hi again Sarah. Thanks so much for getting back to me. Watched it. Loved it. Saved it! Very inspired. Will be moving house soon and will be unfurnished. Can buy some and get creative. Thanks again. X
Ah that’s awesome to hear thank you Deborah. Glad it was helpful for you. Good luck with your move! Selling everything off and moving with bare essentials is my favourite way to move.
The buying and making over at the other end is so rewarding 🥰
Love this Sarah! Wow, beautiful job with the stencil and all the colors are so perfect together. Stunning!
Huge thank you Jenn!
I love what you did with this piece. I've been watching videos using various texturing (polyfilla/plaster/woodfilla) and stencils to make plain walls interesting. None have bothered to blend the paint colours, just two contrast colours blocked over the base colour. This is superior. Now my chimney breast is fearful. Lol
Hahaha Michelle! This is my favourite comment. Thank you 🥰 that is a classic line “now my chimney breast is fearful” it is literally THE BEST!!!
Hi Sarah. I was wondering where this piece was going, but you did a beautiful job. Love the stencil. You are so sweet!! I love it!!!👍❤️❤️❤️❤️
thank you Teresa that so lovely of you to say ♥️
WOW! Sarah you Certainly Started with a pretty hot mess 😩
But Boy look at it NOW !
You did a Great job with the Stencil 👏👍 you rock Aussie Girl
Hehehe Ondina 🥰 thanks for that ❤️❤️
Love love love this piece. Thanks heaps for sharing - a very inspirational piece. I’m slowly catching up with all of your videos. Best wishes from Canberra 🇦🇺
Thanks Michelle I’m so glad you liked it. I actually had a hard time trying to selling so I decided to keep it. It now has a place at my front door ❤️
Lovely!!.....Keeping the rounded edge of that recycled top would have echoed the "curvy motifs" of the applied floral design. Brainstorming further, if a more durable top were desired, a marble slab could be applied.
So true! I was thinking I could have routed the edge as well…ah the things that bounce around in my brain 😂 I’m glad you like it 😊
😂 have been a ugly duck project. You did an amazing job on it. I'm seeing you do suck wonderful work, never afraid to try new things. Keep up the great work.🤗🥰
So true I didn’t even think of that! Thanks so much for encouraging me like that 🥰 I appreciate you
Sarah, I love going on this journey with you. You started out doing routine diy makeovers. Now, you are showing us the true artistic nature that lives with.you. This piece is outstandingly beautiful. You are taking ugly ducklings and creating majestic swans. Loved the music also. Was it your husband’s music?
Ah Kathleen!!! I sure do appreciate you thank you ! Some of that music was Phil. The intro and outdo are his and the section where I am stenciling is also him. He has new music for me coming but he's super busy with other paying 😆 projects
My mouth is still gaping open. So wonderful to be inspired by that frame. You rocked this BIG TIME!
Oh man I was happy to read that Susan 🥰 thank you 😊
Artistically interesting! I can dig it! It's just unreal how you took a trashed piece of furniture and smartly transformed it beyond belief! ...And you're absolutely right about how everybody should do their own thing. Life can have so many challenges and demands...we all have the freedom to enjoy our lives and to make our places in the world look the way which makes us happy and satisfied. The good people we have in our lives can be just as happy for us as we are happy for them doing their own things. I really like all the different styles and choices people make...I learn from them. ...Thank you for your time and work in creating a super nice channel!
Woah Curtis thank you for this…you hit the nail on the head here and appreciate what and HOW you shared this with me.
Thank you ☺️
It's refreshing to see how much you enjoy what you're doing! What a tribute to your dad and what he (and your mother) has instilled in you. I wasn't sure if I'd like the piece, but it is lovely. I think the top color with hardware pulled it together beautifully. I'm looking forward to the next piece. I'll be curious to see how quickly it sells on FB Marketplace.
Ah thanks Toni! I really do love being able to do this but I love these pieces the most and that I get to be a little creative...definitely life giving for me!
Love this piece Sarah. If only you lived in Western Australia it would be mine. I'd have to adapt my colour scheme a bit to make it fit but I would do it. Looking forward to the Aussie project.
Ah Lyn 🥰🥰 you have made my day!! Thanks for encouraging me that way!
Oh my goodness! You brought that dead piece back to life. It looks so amazing. I don’t have a place in my home, but I sure wish I did! Keep up the good work!
Love this! 😍 thank you so much I appreciate you saying this
This is just gorgeous! I love red and this is just scrumptious! I have a cabinet of my mom’s that is red. Going further with all this extra would make it perfect. Thanks for the idea!
Oh that is amazing Dawn...thank you for sharing that!!!
If you lived in my area, I would buy this for sure & I refinish furniture myself! This is gorgeous and you may have just inspired me to use the Dixie Belle red paint my family insisted I pick up. You are a beautiful person inside and out, and it shows through your work. 🥰♥
Ah that is so good Denise!!! Do it I bet you will nail! And thank you friend you're so kind!
New subscriber and I absolutely find you so fun, not to mention so talented!!! I love this piece, can't wait to try to dupe the look!!!! Take care :)
Oh wow and thank you atone that’s so nice of you to say and a HUGE welcome I’m really happy you are here
Wow wow wow, you are a natural at stenciling!!! Looks absolutely beautiful 😻 (from Australia 🇦🇺)
Ah Jane thank you! Not sure I'm a natural but seriously appreciate you
I’m obsessed with this piece!! I don’t even like red but it’s so beautiful and detailed with the stencil.. I love that you did some raised and some not. So good!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😍😍
I totally love this!!! thanks Nicole
Lovely makeover! The raised flowers and stencil are lovely! Very fun watching your creativity!
Hehehe thanks Janice 🥰
Lovely and so very comforting to the heart. Absolutely a one-of-a-kind little artwork. When one looks to an object or listens to a piece of music and feel an emotion in the heart, I call it art! I'm beginning to think of you as an artist, one who is not using clay, or painting on a canvas. You are not a sculptor nor a photographer, or a musician. In fact, you are creating your own artistic space, in a different universe. So, on your business card, under your name, you should simply print "Artist" !
🥺🥺🥰🥰 THANK YOU Céline you have blown me away. Sending hugs your way! 🤗
I have to agree with another commenter that although this is "not my cup of tea." But, just because its not my style, doesnt mean i cant appreciate it's beauty and your skill in creating it We all have our own style, and that is really evident among the furniture artists making videos. But...I really love the passion and enthusiasm you bring to what you do. It's your "cup of tea" and that's what counts! Keep doing you and those of us that are subscribed will keep watching! Have a wonderful weekend.
Mary!!! What!! THANKFUL for you. I love this and so appreciate you saying that. I totally understand the “not for everyone” and love this encouragement. Thank you 😊
Dear Sarah, it should never be about whether a person likes a piece or not, but about the creativity. We should all take at least one thing, if not more from each of your videos as you're designs are outside of the box. Each week is so different from the last, which shows your true commitment, creativity, and willingness to try anything. You'll never know the result if you don't try, and there is no such thing as a fail. Love your channel, and can't wait to see what's next. Regards, Karen
KAREN!!! This is my hope that people would take away something from the videos...doesn't even have to be paint related 😆 thank you for saying REALLY it means a lot. I appreciate you
I love this so much! I picture it in a covered outdoor living space or in a pool-house. Don't ask me why this picture came to my mind.. I'm from the foothills of the Canadian Rockies- our outdoor areas have hot tubs and heaters, and I have never seen a pool house in real life. ;)~
One of my favorite faces!!! Your description had me smiling as per....🤗
I really didn’t think I was going to like this piece. But it turned out great. Looks very vintage. Excellent job!
Ahhh thank you 🥰 makes my day to read this
That came together soooo beautifully!! And Omigosh those stencils😍 I hope I’m daring enough to try that someday!
Lizza I’m glad you think it’s beautiful 😍 I bet you’d knock it out!!!
If I could give more than one thumbs up, I would give you a dozen. This piece is amazing and I'm sure selling this kind of work will not be a problem.
Ah Elizabeth this made me smile ❤️❤️ thank you
My gosh, most people would have ran past that piece, but you had a vision and loved everything you did to it! Now this will make you laugh. While you were stenciling my dog flew off my lap to the front door barking away. She thought someone was knocking on it.
Hahaha that’s awesome!!! I love it. Tell her I’m sorry 😊
Love, love, love it. Apropos to next weeks Australian, I reckon this weeks flowers were reminiscent of our gorgeous Telopea speciosissima, floral symbol of our state. People are doing it tough in flood areas Sarah, I hope your loved ones are safe and well.
Ah Gail so much to love about what you said and my heart is hurting for Aussie! Man we are a do it tough nation!! Mum, dad and I were just talking about that last night - fires, covid, floods, more covid & mum said that there was an earthquake somewhere is Oz too...its heart breaking! Mum and dad are ok but my brothers in Queensland in one of the hard hit areas! His business has been flooded twice now 😢
I bet that is why I love that frame so much...it did not even register that it looks similar to our State flower! Stay safe Gail.
New subbie . . . ❤'n your artistic vision on this piece . . . you've brought stenciling to another level . . .looking forward to viewing more of your work USA
Well hey Roberta! So happy you’re here and so appreciate your encouragement thank you friend. I look forward to chatting more in the future.
That is exactly my style. I absolutely love it. I really have to try doing that. I love stencilling and it's also more economical than transfers. Here in Aus the large Prima stencils and transfers are around the $50 mark so I'd rather spend that kind of money on something re-usable.
So good Deb!! I love this style to...give me rustic everyday of the week!! Oh I totally agree I caved a got a stencil yesterday and it was $30 US which I think is about the $50 Aussie you mentioned 😳 going to have to find the perfect piece for that one
I, typically, do NOT like the texture on pieces like this… but, this turned out SO beautiful! I just love it. I could even see this in my kitchen!
Oh wow Vickie!!! that is so cool love hearing this 🥰
Idk dear but something tell me we r gonna be seeing more of these kinda projects from u!!❤
I wouldn't have thought this was ur first time using a stencil!! N to go hard n go multiple colors on a it n a raised stencil!! U moreless said im gonna give it my all!! Lovely portrait of your parents as well. That piece is probably going to fly out the door well at least I hope it does for you
Hehehe well I have to say these kind of pieces do bring me joy! And that I get to share them with you all is the icing on the cake!!! Thank you Shauna for what you said...things have been slow of late for many reasons I'm sure but that's ok I'm hanging in there and waiting for just the right buyer! That portrait is my favorite of them 😍
Sometimes as you're working on a piece I don't think I'm going to it. Then, like tonight, I really love it when you're finished.
Sometimes as I working on a piece I’m thinking the same thing 😂 glad you liked it Jenna 🥰
Beautiful stencilling love pieces like this . I have been using general finishes for few weeks now , lovely stuff , key is lots of thin layers I found . Bit fed up this week as done some beautiful pieces but not sold , guess just waiting for right buyers , but need the space . Love the red not been brave enough for red yet , great idea to tone down . Such a good eye for design , super brilliant idea using table top . Awesome job
Ah thanks Caroline. I feel ya on the fed with stuff not selling. I’m having the same happening here 😬😫 certainly makes things tough! And I don’t know about you but when it’s slow then I start second guessing my self and thinking I have to repaint 😳😞 but you are right just have to wait for the right buyer…thanks for the reminder 🥰
Love this piece so much!! The colors wouldn't work on my house, but I would consider changing the house to accomodate this! Love it!
Hahaha you love it that much...so good Robin you put a huge smile on my face!
Great job Sarah. my cup of tea, not so much. the raised portion on the stencil worked great. I do always appreciate your creativity. thank you
Ah thanks so much Neal! Loved that you could appreciate parts of it!
I am truly amazed by the transformations that you have been accomplishing. Once again your ideas come to life and astonish us all. Keep on creating and thank you for these joyful moments!!
Ah Marie thank you that means a lot your encouragement is so good for my soul 🥰
Gee I wished I lived near you! I would buy all your items! I really love this! I cannot think of a word that shows how much I love this piece!! You are an inspiration!
Ahhh Teresa thank you friend. You are such an encouragement and light! I appreciate you
You are amazing! When you started the stencil I was wondering. You knocked it out of the park!!!! Love it!
Ahhh YOU are AMAZING Patricia thank you 🥰
If you are intimidated by stencils or raised stencils you should watch Kacha. She does an extraordinary job with that. But I think your little chest turned out great!
Oh you are right she is phenomenal. I was just watching her videos the other night. 🥰
Sarah! Fantastic!! Love your work. And your video editing is creative.
Ahhh thanks Kimberly that’s so nice of you to say 🥰
Hi neighbor. Looks like out of your comfort zone is a very good neighborhood for you. This buffet would fit perfectly in my kitchen.
hehehe thanks Cassie...it's windy by me today, you? hasn't sold yet 😉
She's a beauty! Although not my style it is certainly a stunning Art Piece. In January I visited someone in Nolensville TN. I saw heavily stenciled furniture in several shops. For some reason in my area that technique tends to be less popular. Go figure. I believe this piece is a true tribute to the frame that holds the sweet photo of your parents. Definitely an emotional link.
Seriously thank you it really blesses my heart when you say that. I know I’ve said it a fair bit BUT it’s true it really does.
Hope you enjoyed your trip! It’s really lovely here the last few days…starting to warm up, I’m so excited for warmer weather! It reminds me of home 🥰
Hope you are good!
Love this piece! It doesn’t match my decor but your techniques and brave choices inspire more to try some of them using my favorite colors, thank you!
Leigh that’s such a lovely thing to say, thank you ☺️❤️
very beautiful and unique. I upcycle furniture as well, and you give me good ideas about where to go with my pieces.
Ah Jackie I love hearing that! Thank you
I absolutely loved this!! I really love your videos, I can always hear your smile and it makes me happy too.
Ahhh thank you and I always have a huge smile readying your comments, thank you friend
Love your growing confidence, your creativity and that you are trying new things! Gorgeous piece ❤️🖤
Ah thank you Desiree
It's gorgeous 😍 ❤ , I love the method.
Thanks Stephanie 🥰🥰
@@VintageAndPainted welcome 🤗
I didn’t think I was going to like this one, BUT I Really Do! That’s my idea of BoHo‼️
That’s so awesome Patti 🥰 I love Boho and so happy you see it that way!! Thank you
South Africa counting down the seconds in the late afternoon. Its absolutely beautiful. One will never tire of the pattern.
Thanks Gail I’m happy you think so
Not bad 4 1st time out using stencil. Practice makes perfect. Meaning you will get better at it each you do it. Before you know it you will be a pro at stenciling.
I totally agree practicing definitely makes it less daunting. It was so fun to try it. I ended up keeping this piece in my entryway just a little pop of colour and personality 🥰❤️ thank you
I love this so much..your style is very similar to mine …also love your cardi’s they are very me. If I was near you I would buy it, but I live in the uk about 30 miles outside London
Ah I am so glad! Oh that cardi is my favourite I wear it all the time 🤣 and it does show signs of that...paint, threads pulled out, more paint 🤣 I also got it from my favourite clothing store back home. Lucky you, I love London BTW its so beautiful well all those small villages outside of London ahhhhh if given a chance I would live in a small village...definitely my vibe 🥰
Your right. It looks so good. It totally Carrie’s the idea of the picture frame. Great job.
Thanks so much! 😊
Awww Sarah....How Beautiful this piece came out.....I Must Say I Had gotten a Bit scared there for a minute...But then I'm thinking Oh Sarah Will DEFINITELY Pull Something Gorgeous Out of her Creative Brain and YOU DEFINITELY Did NOT Disappoint my dear friend... Absolutely LOVE the layers and half raised stencil etc ..I loved the entire process and watching you pull it off..
And Baking soda Is Absolutely the way to go for any type of texture as well as Food grade safe so it's a win win...I use that when I Turn a glass vase or cheap aluminum lamps into Faux Ceramic gorgeous lamps and vases...You're Soo Talented Sarah 🥰👍❣️
Debra, hey friend I hope you are good!! Thank you as always you are blowing me away with kindness and I appreciate you! I have used that also for my little kitchen lamp and it works so well!!! The best I've tried and I've tried a couple. I also have left over of the sparkle...may have to give that a go some day 😊
@@VintageAndPainted that would be awesome 🥰. .and Yes why buy texture when You can Use Baking Soda😂❣️
