With this vanity, I decided to try something different from the usual style of splitting the two parts into nightstands. I thought tambour doors would look great in the middle, so that's what I attempted. It was actually trickier than I thought to figure out the design and the order in which to assemble the pieces, but it all worked out in the end. I think this may be the most functional thing I've ever built...

It's stunning, I love it. Love your videos. And I know, you gotta take sponsorships that work for you and a place you can get woodworking tools makes sense. But I would caution you to do some research into the ethics and implications of Temu. I know I know, all our faves are problematic, and no judgement because I know you gotta get paid for this beautiful artistry. The doors were a great idea and flow really seamlessly with the piece. I honestly can rewatch your videos multiple times too because I feel like they're so interesting.

@@lindarileyart thanks. I didn't wanna be too heavy handed because I frequently hear ppl say "oh but I didn't know." So I assume he doesn't know, especially if he's not already locked in to ethical vs fast fashion discourse, since I feel like that's the fastest way to immediately recognize these companies when they pop up. Anyway I do hope he sees it, but the caution can also then stand for his viewers as well even if he doesn't. Perhaps he's at a point to start a patreon.

Andy, it’s so good to see you back. Thanks for the brilliant additions to this piece, especially when mid-mod is your favorite style. You even kept the original fringe bling. The tambour doors you created threw shadows thanks to your carving and your staining/waxing. The partition walls classed it up. Each step proved your status as a master crafter/carpenter. Play with your new toys whenever you want because you figure out ways to innovate with them. We should figure out a way to promote your willingness to repurpose. 0:04

Temu is one of the least environmentally friendly shops in the entire world, not to mention one whose workers live and work under appalling conditions. As a creator whose videos are all about reusing the old and increasing the life of already excisting items, I would encourage you to think twice before accepting them as a sponsor again. I understand you need sponsors, but I hope in the future you’ll choose ones that are better both environmentally and when it comes to basic human rights.

Everything you buy is made in china, by the same factories temu gets their products. Temu is alibaba but the surplus items that arent sold. Every market on etsy every big box store in the US gets all their products from the same manufacturers alibaba and temu get their goods.
No one has the money right now to buy exclusively made in usa items, and its classist af to demand people do that in this economy.

I know I’ve said it before, but you are a master craftsman! You absolutely amaze me, you are so young and have so much talent. It’s good to see you don’t waste your talent. This piece turned out, absolutely astounding. I appreciate you taking the time to share the beauty of what you create with all of us. Take care, stay safe.

Andy, I have to say you never disappoint. Your creativity is simply remarkable. The end result was stunning, I would buy it in a heartbeat.
As always, your videos are a pleasure to watch. Nicely done.
It is nice to see you taking. You have a beautiful voice. May I suggest you do a video about all the wood pieces you have saved. It seems that you have the right one for every restoration you have made. 🤩🤩🤩

Beautiful. Nothing is better that wood looking like wood instead of painted.
21:28 I have the same knobs. Instead of Brasso I use a mix of lemmon juice, liquid dish soap and a bit of water for bronze cleaning. Clean with a cloth and then clear water and a then a dry cloth. The shine lasts longer

Always a pleasure to watch a master at his craft, loved your ideas on this one, your impeccable workmanship, your filming and editing, your "speaking" on camera, and the puppies. What a treat!

Yes, I watched to the very end! LOL!
One of the things that I love about watching your videos is that they're not just the record of a highly skilled craftsman, but they're actually works of art -- "they" meaning your restorations/creations. I feel like you're telling a story with every piece you share with us. It's so cool.

If yours were the only videos out there, I'd be okay with that! I am in awe of the magic you do to pieces you come across. A true artisan. Beautiful result.
