So creative! The pattern, the color choices, and those handles all came together SO well. Most people would think that this piece was way too far gone to even attempt fixing it and you nailed it! Thank you for saving this piece

Its absolutely beautiful, bravo. I've been doing decoupage for years and I put all sorts of paper on my furniture. I find the easiest way is to put the decoupage glue on the drawers, let it dry for 20 minutes then with an iron that does not have any water in it and is on medium heat, take a piece of parchment paper (which I keep for other projects), put over the paper and iron all over. If you are using very thin paper or even napkins....it also ensures there are no creases or bubbles.

Sarah when you took of the hardware and were holding one of the handles it reminded me of a magician's wand. Well you took the magic wand and transformed this ugly duckling into a fun and beautiful piece! I can not believe that you did a “simple fix” on the drawer when you completely took it apart and just flipped the bottom and put it all back together. If I would ever attempt that it would simply be a mess 😂😂😂 Love it ❤️

@@VintageAndPainted Well my way of thing it is that some like sushi and others like fish and chip...others love pink and others black..so it is a matter of taste and preferences... Do what u love, the colors you love, enjoy the process and do not take it to heart when someone does not like the end product...besides it is your creation after all. From one artist to another my best suggestion is ENJOY the ride...because it is all yours. :) Blessings to you and yours..

Check out Wheat Paste for applying paper. Long window to wok with. It has been around since there has been paper to hang. It will hold paper to ceilings. Trim paper with a sharp blade while the paper is still wet. This allows you to get a good edge seal. You are great at re-engineering.

Sarah, Modpodge Glue is 1/2 water and 1/2 'school' glue -- just ordinary white all-purpose glue. Making your own would be much cheaper than buying the original. Hope this helps you & anyone interested.

Definitely! I'll be doing that going forward. I homeschool my kids and we always have a huge jug of school glue 😆 Thanks for sharing

Love this! The top of that dresser looks so high end and I'm happy you kept the pulls, they are perfect with the wallpaper.

Ahhh thanks Jill. It was a real jump for me not a style I am drawn to. But you are right that top 😲 it was so beautiful I couldn’t cover it up.

It's a great flip. I'm so glad you kept the long handles--I love those. Also the top is beautiful. Nice job and it was cool that you shared your blunder and persevered. Kudos!

Thank you so much Jean! I have never seen handles like them before. It was a hard sell I had it up until Tuesday! But the lady really liked it and said it was unique (her husband had a different opinion 😬 ah people).

you really put a lot of work into this and I love love love the papered drawer fronts. However, the paper design is not centered. To me, it’s like laying tile. You find the center of the horizontal space you’re working with and layout the design starting in the center, and work out to the left and then the right. That way your paper design would be balanced and even. Right now, you have full diamond shapes on the left side and only partial diamond shapes on the right side. I could not live with that, it would bug me to no end. I really don’t mean to harshly critique it, just my observation. All in all, love what you did.

Oh my goodness Sarah!! You killed it again. My favorite furniture is Art Deco and my favorite youtuber to deal with a hot mess like you started with is YOU! Awesome job, beautiful results. I wish it was in my house. I have an Art Deco dresser & vanity from my childhood I had refinished 30 years ago. I still love them. They were originally my grandmother’s furniture. I still am happy with how they look even though are just stripped and refinished, Keep up the the amazing videos cuz I love watching you working your magic!!!DDecker
