BRAVO. I have never seen anything so realistic or beautiful in my entire life, and I'm 72-years old. This surpasses CGI, photo realistic painting, anything. This is true art... amazing!!!
@@HighEyeWorkshop Haha. I ended up waiting until the video was over. It was like that great book that you just couldn't put down. The results of your work are so amazing! Jawdropping, in fact. It's something that I'll have to work up to. Not due to lack of skill. I'm sure I can crush a project like this, now that I know how it is done, thanks to you. But I see there are a lot of products that go into such a beautifully realistic creation. None of which I already have at home. So I'll have to build up my arsenal after lots of researching and price comparing. Thank you so very much for sharing. I subscribed in the first 5 minutes of watching, so I'm going to check out your other videos now.
One of the finest dioramas Ive ever seen. This video is really really good. You can learn a lot of techniques and learn about a lot of products and what you can do with them. I guess the 48 thumbs down were a result of jealousy. Peace
36 of them were just angry that they couldn't get permission to go fishing there. I heard a couple of them mumbling about it being a "hotspot" or something.
It is absolutely crazy how talented and patient you are! Your models make great inspiration and give off such a wonderful vibe. The model itself is so detailed and amazing. Keep up the excellent work!
Dude, you're extremely talented. I'm currently making a diorama and I've just been bingeing your videos for tips because you obviously know what you're doing.
Watched this entire video with my mouth open, drooling a bit onto my notepad. This is the best choreographed and edited lesson on UA-cam, bar none. If anyone has difficulties with painting oceans (esp Atlantic Ocean that changes on a blink) and seas and beaches, this video has incredible instructions on color and form and even lighting (with the glossy resin mix). So impressed, will watch again and again as a master class. Thank you so very much ... lovely background music (not intrusive), terrific audio balance, the closed captioned details, and straight-forward product info ... wow. Checking out Patreon right now!
I watch one of your videos every night before I go to sleep, I've never seen or known anything else that has given me such content and peace. You are helping people in ways more than you'd ever know Thank you
Thank you so much. I started making these because I found watching videos like this so relaxing when I was suffering with mental health issues, so I'm so happy to know you find them helpful.
Hey Merrick. Terrific work. This is the greatest hobby ever. Here's an idea I just tried and it works. After the resin pour hardened, I used gloss medium on top of the resin along the river's edge. Then my grass applicator. It looks like grass growing [IN] the water. I lightly added leaves to look like other plant growth in the water too. Cheers everyone !
I just found these videos and really want to watch them. Each time I try I fall into sleep, it's just so relaxing to watch, and it's honestly helping me overcome sleeping problems I've developed recently. Thank you for the lovely videos! I am sorry I keep falling asleep, but it just means I'll keep watching over and over.
Beautifully done! Your voice along with your choice of music is so relaxing. I could watch you all day. Thank you for the tutorial and also for exposing me to some of the synthetic materials I've never seen before! Awesome! Liked and subscribed!
As somebody who has had to make all kinds of landscapes/debris-scapes etc over the decades I have to say this is one of the very best and deeply nuanced builds I've ever seen (and, as they say, I've seen a lotI). Beautiful work. I am now dealing with making a miniature alien-ish jungle that has to "behave" in reaction to high winds and lashing rains (jangling leaves, vines etc), that has to hold together for quite a while under a lot of physical, mini-storm torture without disintegrating (or at least with minimal disintegration). It has to work in moderate forced perspective...I sure look forward to the continued work on this...and find your detail, patience and acute visual skills a real inspiration (Also confirms that I am not the one lone landscape "nut" around). Thank you for your extraordinary posting.
Hi Merrick, I'm always in awe of how you can create dioramas. I just can't imagine being able to take all of the different materials that you use and know that in the end it will look fantastic. Wonderful video as always!
I don't know how in the world I got here,... I was watching political news. But what an enjoyable video!!! I so appreciate art and creativity... and the workmanship is incredible!! Kudos to your work and eye for detail.
wow I'm a beginner and this scenery is really exciting esp as I live in Scotland with plenty of water to replicate , thanks for sharing your expertise.
You know one thing that I say to you that I have no words to describe first time I watch this type of art amazing..... God gives you more power to growing up ..... And god bless you ❤️
OMGOSH! Wished I watched this first before buying Water Waves Gel. I never knew Mod Podge can have the same effect. Thank you so much for showing use how to do this. I am so in love with resin lately. Oh, I love how you say Lolly stick! I have no accent, sad to say. God Bless and be safe, debs from Texas
11:33 that looks really good, like a recently dried up river bed. I love the water features in models. They’re my favorite because they always have a large amount of depth. It feels like it’s the easiest part, or rather feel like you don’t need a huge amount of specialized equipment like you do with the grass.
This guy is insane. Some of your shots look like actual photos of running water. Incredible.
Its looks like something ILM would have done in the 70s/80s orbthat I'd see if a Model Railroading magazine about scenics. So amazing.
Dude. That's insane. This has to be the most real looking model white water river I've seen yet.
Yes
He is totally a talented man
in total agreement.

😊
I'm not even a modeler and still I was transfixed. Great job and exceptional talent. Hat's off to you.
Thank you 😊
I just found one of these hyper realistic models in my recommended and now I’m addicted to these videos
best water effects I've seen in modeling. Really first class.
I love it how he starts from a simple foam and turns into a very realistic miniature sceneries...
Completely captivated! I won't even pause it to take a much-needed bathroom break!
Please do 😂

When I saw the video I didn’t really know about dioramas so I thought this was REAL so probably a good sign

Robert Ray, true, so much information. I’ve never seen that type of foam before, for example.
Luke Towan is another great UA-cam channel with similar results like this one! I'm not sponsoring him by the way.
Allways some jealous trolls unfortunally. Just ignore them and carry on is my tip.
36 of them were just angry that they couldn't get permission to go fishing there.
I heard a couple of them mumbling about it being a "hotspot" or something.
You really make me want to start making dioramas, such a wonderful medium.
I am stunned at the beauty and realism in your water. I have seen a bit of modeled water and non matches your work here. Amazing!
Outstanding work
It is obvious you loved this project -- the resulting rolling river is AHHHH-MAAAZING!!
Thank you 😊
I can’t believe how wonderful and Realistic this work is 10 thumbs up 👍 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
This is the kind of art that I love. The randomness of nature means that the details make it.
Looking at that, I could actually hear the water rushing over the rocks, and hear the birds singing and chirping in the trees! Very well done.
I wish I could just shrink and live inside your little models. They're so calming to look at.
Its 3 am ..didnt sleep to watch this masterpiece..cheers from iran
Fantastic - great fun to watch. The water looks excellent but I also like the way you made weeping willow. Thanks for sharing.
Hi, the resulting water was stunning, certainly looks real. A lot of time and skill. Thanks for posting .
This is absolutely breathtaking.
Как будто наблюдаешь за работой Творца. Потрясающе реалистично. Спасибо, это прекрасно
This video watched directly by the soul

The realism is stunning .. jaw dropping incredible !!
Thanks Sharon
Bravo! Quelle magnifique réalisation! Merci de nous en faire profiter avec cette vidéo!
My compliment from France!
Wow. That looks insanely photo-realistic.
Dude, you're extremely talented. I'm currently making a diorama and I've just been bingeing your videos for tips because you obviously know what you're doing.
Once I get the necessary supplies, I have to do at least one of these. Things like this really bring life to a room

If only there were more videos. Keep up the good work
Your attention to detail is fabulous! I grew up around rivers and love moving water...I'm a miniaturist of houses but am really enjoying your work!
I am completely blown away! This is so beautiful and realistic! What a craftsmanship. 🤩

Oh my gosh using bark for rocks is a genius idea!!
Reminds me of flyfishing for trout in Colorado. Simply amazing.
I thought I saw a trout jump by one of the rapids.
Carajo , que trabajo taaaaan espectacular😢😢😢😢😢, felicitaciones eres increíble
Yet another piece of amazing work. I love the details in the water and the trees. Hope you make more of these scenes. Cheers from Malaysia.
Excellent. I think your water effects are getting better each time. This was super realistic.
Thank you. I'm trying different types of water and materials to try to prove you can make water many ways and end up with a great result.
Very impressive, like a 3D oil painting !!
A very gifted artist with nice voice. Loved it.
Kind words. Thank you!
