Ah yes! The good ol' "safety squint" (2:23)... used it many times myself! OK, joking aside - this is a really good demo and very easy to follow and understand.
This has been a great series. I picked up a few buildings for my Falllout Wasteland Warfare games and just love them. I’d be really interested to see something with the Forgotten overpass sets or the old roads sets.
Blacksite Studios is really rising to the fore when it comes to tabletop gaming - with amazing games like Don't Look Back and awesome MDF Kits, and now tutorial videos, BSS is really putting the hobby back into the hobby game! Keep it up!
This is so cool! Can you tell me the name of the stuff you squished in your hands and then mounded it so it was higher than the water… I have been looking for something like this to make a creek or smal river… thank you! Awesome video 👏👏👏
Is is possible to not add the paint to the Mod Podge and Liquitex if you wanted a very transparent water effect. Will that work? Thanks and nice video... Phil
I love how you’re wearing a suit but still can’t be bothered to wear safety goggles. Hahaha In all seriousness though, thank you for these tutorials. These are amazing!
I would be really interested in seeing different ways to do interior walls. Painting and wallpapering in modern buildings, and extra details like chair rails. I have the Baal house and I want to nail the victorian interior vibe. More abandoned/run down than post apocalyptic.
This is actually on my list for the near future! Ill probably do one episode dedicated to "Ultra-detailing" a single house kit. Things like - 3D printing furniture and doors - Wallpaper, different floor finishes
Very cool. I enjoy this series a lot. I would be interested in tackling some different types of cement/ pavement ideas. All of your terrain and buildings are great, and I think learning to tie them together for a cohesive board would be interesting
Interesting and effective water effect and the overall look is great. I think a mask would have been higher on my list of priorities than safety glasses for cutting and sanding MDF though!
To me it does not appear very helpful as you have a well equipped workshop with all necessary professional tools. Most modelers who would like build a realistic water surface with a minimum of expensive materials and tools. The surface of the "water" looks very choppy and the blue color is too intense. Maybe it's sufficient for wargaming but for a realistc diorama with a warship or an amphibious aircraft or model railways it's in my opinion not good enough...
Thank you so much! Have been looking for a way to do great looking still water without resin for so long!

Awesome stuff once again. Thanks Ben !!!
Great presentation. where did you purchase your trees?
That turned out really nice!
I enjoy how much safer Ben is. :)
Another great tutorial. Thank you for going into great detail every step of the way. Very helpful. Keep these great videos coming.
Thank you for sharing 😊

I know I'm late in the game. Thank you for showing me this method for water. Going to try this on my layout. Hoping it works and looks good.
Glad it worked for you!

You guys are putting out some amazing content! Also, that Keaton house is fantastic! Beetlejuice...
I use Murphy Oil Soap to clean brushes used for texture paint. It also cleans brushes with dried out paint. I have saved many a brush.
I like the intro to your channel like watching an old 80s movie
What’s the best primer or sealer to paint mdf that isn’t painted? Keep up the great work guys! Love the products!
Basic Rustoleum Auto primer in grey is what we use all the time. :)
Another wonderful build! Thanks for all your hard work making these great videos!
That water really did look good
Damn…. Just love the intro!
Nice feels like an old school documentary! 👍🏻

Where were the trees from ? 🌲
Oh my god! I love this. Thx!

Yeah for sure! You’d still need some type of gloss effect though
Huh, that "Deco Grass" mat is something I've never seen before! Where do you get something like that?
I love Scenic Express. Btw, "Have faith in yourself" means "Don't be skeerd!" :)
Some Lunar terrain would be cool! We're working hard on resisting getting the game...!
You should Deffs give in and get it ;)
I love how you’re wearing a suit but still can’t be bothered to wear safety goggles. Hahaha
In all seriousness though, thank you for these tutorials. These are amazing!
I did wear them while using my jigsaw...but used my safety squints when I was cutting those trees lol
"Earth Water" - tell me you want a Dasani sponsorship without telling me you want a Dasani sponsorship.
Always be hustlin' :P
9:51 material
Where were those trees from?
We sell them here
blacksitestudio.com/products/fir-trees-small-base
I've shown your videos to hobbyists with decades of experience and they say I'm dangerous to their pocketbook. :)
Where do you get the tree kits? 🙏
blacksitestudio.com/collections/trees-scenic
Where can I find Earth Water??... :)

That's a great idea!
Aint cheap! That size liquitex is $40 or $50.
Love your info and how you bring a little class to model makers, wearing tie. I think it's cool.
"Beginner tutorial." Look at the size of that workshop!
ben isn't wearing a suit in this video - literally unwatchable
IKR, might as well delete this vid right now!
Great series, but some constructive feedback, it's too slow. I don't want to watch you slowly mix sculptamold in slo mo
As an A.D.D. survivor i agree with the slow motion sculptamold scenes needing to be cut.... made me feel a little uncomfortable...😂😂😂
Boring a.f.
Things are a little more laid back in Australia, there's not much going on there 😂
Interesting and effective water effect and the overall look is great. I think a mask would have been higher on my list of priorities than safety glasses for cutting and sanding MDF though!
Earth Water
Nothin but the best
Easy? I do not think that word means what you think it means! LOL
This technique is super straightforward to do! Trust me :)
Tie 👔 cup combo = subscribe

Grabs goggles but no ear protection 😂🤦🏻♂️ Amateur
