Great review. I needed to replace my old OBD2 code reader and decided to go with this. I have a current issue with a Silverado P0326 knock sensor and want to see what the PCM sees before I start ordering parts or rebuilding the engine🥵
Had one a year now...works fine...quite often special functions dont work on some vehicles....but at least one not been rooted as much as when this happens with a Snap on one...😂😂
Kinbolen K7 slower also has 50% less memory, not saying the K7 isn't any good, it's a cracking bit of kit for the money, there is no one unit that will ever be 100%, depends on your budget and what you need it for, e.g. possibly unlikely you will ever be flashing firmware into an ecu, you sort of learn from buying a failry good quality scanner first (whatever your budget can manage) and then learn from it's inadequacies or adequacies based on your needs and requirements and take it from there.
GrooveOn im thinking buying some obd2 scanner, max 400bucks, honestly what you thing is the best for all the cars?i got a bmw, mercedes sl, citroen and peugeot...i will need thinks like adblue, and all the trick things to the mercedes sl...thanks mate
For the range of cars you have, go for a scanner that does all cars, rather than just one brand. You could get a scanner that has free updates for a couple of years like the LAUNCH X431 CRP919XBT Elite OBD2 Scanner, 2024 amzn.to/3ZMHpvo. Also the KINGBOLEN KINGBOLEN K7 Car Diagnostic Scan Tool amzn.to/3ZVMPV0 that has 3 year fee updates, you can download whatever cars you like during that time, the scanners will work after the period still or you can also pay a subscription to keep updating.
Hey bro! Have you ever seen the fault codes P19FF U1405 P0562 P0603 These faults came up on my reader, iv been doing a bit of research on each code and im wondering if resetting the ECU by disconnecting the battery will solve at least 1 of them.. Have you had any of these fault codes on your mk8 civic?
Hi there and thanks for reaching out. The codes you have are possibly a knock on affect from each other, so you may not have 4 independent faults mate. I surmise that from the code P19FF that you have an auto box. For my advise on these types of multi fault questions are usually to my members / or people that use the 'SuperThanks' button. With that said I would start with looking at your alternator and voltage supply.
@GrooveOn apologies, I didn't know. I did manage to solve this issue, I basically cleared the codes and removed the battery for 4 hours or so.. came back and restored battery no more codes and the car doesn't even stutter anymore when moving away.. But I do thank you for replying to me
@@milanmilovanovic5214 Functionality wise they are very close, with the Pro Elite having slightly more reset functions, but only a few, both have 2 year updates. I would say either one you wont be disappointed.

@@greenegfm1 you'll save money on the long run, I've just used mine to pin point an ABS sensor and 02 sensor, otherwise it's guess work

Is this DBSCAR7?
Can i know the first 6 number in serial number?
Yes it uses a DBSCAR7
What is different between those two?
@@Stafo777 if you watch through , I explain at the end
@@GrooveOn Can you check the real mileage with this one?Thanks
@Stafo777 yes, absolutely
Hi there. If the 2 year period for update have concluded, does the unit still function fully?
yes, just doesnt update there may be some online functions that stop working, e.g. online programming, but dont think it does any, only offline))
Hello . It have topology? Thank You So Much for all the information.
Hi there, I am checking this for you.
@ Hello Thank You So Much!
What would you suggest this or the kingbolen k7
I would say the Kingbolen is nearly £100 cheaper and has 3 years updates, the interface is very similar between the two.

@isalee5249 nice one,
Low battery can cause many issues
Would you recommend the LAUNCH X431 CRP919X BT OBD2 or the Launch x431 pro elite ?
lol same question
I would say the CRP 919X BT is best value for money.
