Tamers are Op now it you can kinda just do whatever but there are a couple quick points that were missed in this video. First a big change with the tamer rework is that Vet also gives pet damage. In addition vet also affects how much healing magery heals give. 120 tame/lore/herd/vet maxes out your pet damage and puts you at 480 skill points leaving room for Mage/Med at 100 and then 40 points of taste/camp/wrestle/eval.... Command being the only aspect which will proc from you casting heal on your pets means you now just send your strong as possible pets and spot heal them with gheal until proc boosts and full heals them.
@@MauricioPaim if you are a newer player I would recommend camping. The increased carry weight will improve efficiency of your runs. However if you already are established I would lean towards taste id more mana only makes you more sustainable and poison and disease resist are good defense bonuses
been watching more of these videos.... man UO is really calling to me again. how long does it take to 120 taming on this ? I remember just getting to 100 on OSI was incredible amount of work back in the old T2A/classic days.
Getting to 80 can be done in a day or two. Getting from 80 to 100 in about a week with some dedication....at that point, you need to buy scrolls and orbs which means a lot of farming with a good farming strat. Right now, everything related to tamers is more expensive then other classes, simply because there are so many hybrid tamers. Assuming youve got your max orbs and skill scrolls..id say 3-4 months unless youre no lifeing it. Running concurrently to leveling those skills though, you got your tamer codex, and another codex, you got your 3 aspect gear slots and THEN your mastery links...all of which will take you ...a long time. And thats not even getting into the upcomming Xpac content and systems. Set up AFK macros for what you can level AFK and just do your time for everything else:)>>

Tamer were good before but sucks that only eldritch were good. I love the fact that theres more viable pets but does it have to be op for it to not suck.

Have T13 Shadow/T13 Poisoner and till start of UO Outlands Tamers was suck and now everyone's telling nerf the tamers, as a T7 new tamer, yes it is really cool but no need a nerf in real.
The truth is, Tamers have so much attack without any def abilities. You need 360 skill points to use this power, for me it makes sense, for you? @PwnstarrGaming

How you use them is up to you. By 360, are you only talking about lore,taming,herding? Thats half a char. Again, I've played literally every type of character. Tamers are without a doubt the most powerful type ever. Twice as powerful as bard noxcros were at the release of bard codex and poison kits.
Yes, Tamers are the strongest now, but why this is a problem? At least taming has some varieties with pets, how was before? 1- Poisoner/Summoner/Necro(Even with 80 SS only you can tank any monster) 2- Air/Wrestler or Macer dexxer. 3- Bards/Provokers .. I agree with you, tamers are the strongest, but I don't think it needs to be nerfed as you suggested before maybe some buff could be better for other builds. @@PwnstarrGaming
@@dorukanylmazkulas1538 i think its a problem because dungeons are already pretty bare when it comes to monsters The more monsters killed means more gold generated which means shorter life span of the games economy which means shorter life span of the server. So no, I don't think other types of templates need to be brought up at all. That would further push the envelope on previous things mentioned. Pvm is already rather simple, increasing other templates to tamer level would make this almost like an idle game on our cellphones 😄 The Tamers power and pet variety are two different things that don't have to coincide with eachother.
@@Cruisnfoo which dragons and drakes? Everything depends on specific pets and their cooldowns/passives and abilities and what class they are when deciding bestiary perks.
This is a mage tamer video ;p But on my melee tamer, between vet and pots i dont struggle staying alive. I will sometimes step out of harms way for heavy AOE monsters and let my pets take them down. But thats far and few between and doesnt merit losing damaging increasing skill abilities.
You could fit it in somewhere if you wanted. Dmg only increases your spell dmg not your pets. Radar is nice. I just would rather be more efficient farming personally
I was doing taste id/eval at the beginning. Taste ID giving more mana regain allowed me to cast more. Allowing me to proc command more. Eval allowed my flamestrikes to do more damage. So it was a win win. I also liked the ability to fight back to mage pks even without having wrestle/magery i was able to stand my ground. Vet for me on a mage tamer always felt bad. A lot def like it though. Nice not spending mana on heals (albeit you cant proc off a vet heal) and using that mana for fishing for more procs w flamestrike (even if weaker since no eval)
Yeaaaa makes sense for sure! I wanted to test dps having VET vs eval, taste to see if the extra mana/procs did overall more dps but havn't gotten around to it. @@PwnstarrGaming

just wondering what your UI is in this video, and how you go about personally targeting monsters to be attacked- use a hotkey?

I haven't played any form of UO in close to 2 decades, but i dont recall Herding being part of a taming build

I prefer 120 taming, 120 Lore, 100 magery, 100 eval., 100 meditation, 100 wrestling, 80 resist., for more pvp., less farming.
