I’m new to the game and trying your build. I love it so far. I got my inscription to 100 and unlocked eldritch aspect and made sure it was activated on my armor slot. It says I am getting a +6 bonus on spirit speak and inscript but my skills are still showing as 100 for inscript and 80 for spirit speak. Am I doing something wrong? Shouldn’t they be 106 and 86?
effective skill won't show on the skills tab. Your there though 😃

For two years I resisted the pull.. then in a two week period you go and post two videos around my favourite templates! (this one and the revisd Tri-bard).
Question for you. I was following (or at least I think I was) an old template of yours for a summoner. Eval.Mage.Spirit.Wrest.Med.Necro (100's) resisting (80).
I am void lvl 10 on weapon and armour but only Lvl 1 on Eldrich spellbook.
When you refer to Eldritch here is it weapon, book or armour?

If you have to buy a new Wizard's Grimoire, do you have to level it from the beginning or does it save the progress anyways? I lost mine when the server had instabilities and I tried to trade it to my alt :( Got rolled back and now it has poofed from existence (also my full spellbook lol).

@@PwnstarrGaming Turns out I didn't lose them afterall, just thought I did phew. Time to mess with a different necro build :) Well I'll trade taste id for focus. Would almost like to try herding as well, but I think I will keep tracking for +25% spell damage and a radar.

If you want to be more spell damage based vs pet damage yes. Otherwise no.
Well, you're 3/3 for relevant builds for me. Eldritch Scribe is one of my characters as well.
You mentioned that wrestling helps avoid interruption, but you don't need that due to inscription already giving you 100% chance to avoid it now.
On test I was able to cast about 23 flamestrikes in a row before I ran out of mana, and they were hitting 1200-1500 on the dummies after building up the Eldritch damage bonus, its insane.
didnt know it was 100% thats great. But, wrestling will help w pvp interuption and i dont believe scribe does. Also... need that refund push from it as well. Or push from exceedingly to supremely and can reduce it a bit. lots of play here w aspect level/links/equip
I'll be running this one on Gray Grave for a bit to get back into inscription. Can wait to try out the DMG to disease links.

Very interesting you didn’t take mana drain in the Grimoire - wondering if worthwhile to free up the wrestling skill points
That would end up being two casts before I even start casting damage. Lots of downtime imo.

The trick is to make your echos on the right characters so you overlap aspects as little as possible.
Best part of the damage to disease links, is they will work well in a petless arcane build and a summoner necro build!
Yeah they are gonna be killer for necros. Even 65 necro gets you corpse skin

Otherwise... casting curse /mana drain prior to doing damage =long time before doing any damage

You can cast summons with 25 int with that next to last necro ability.
But what if you raised necro then dropped magery down. The necro abilities work on melee as well, don't they? It's been forever since I've messed with necro, so I don't remember the specifics.
@@PwnstarrGaming thinking maybe Wrestling, but with an arcane staff in Death aspect applying diseases and building up Arcane stacks, then evil omen and maybe strangle for some big necro boom spell, then dropping poison strike to resolve diseases.

If you are running a pure refund build why would you cast anything other than FS when running eldritch, just focus on refund and mana well generation, wasting time on rotation is a waste of regs (FS 1 scroll for full run no cost casting). Put those mage book points into support/defense like bless, cure is hugely overlooked, hot heals, rez to help out buddies..... Personally I would also swap Necro for resist as that additional damage and defense from resist is overall more beneficial when it come to survivability when compared to the offensively focused perks of Necro. One thing I do miss about Necro is proc fishing using squiggly man (i know know the necro ability name atm) and casting mana vamp as its a 7th circle and a nondamaging spell so no mana use :P
100s of ways to play for sure. Tis the beauty of outlands.
I'm not too concerned about reg usage tbh. The addition of satchels and monsters dropping such large amounts make it a non factor.
Using the small grimoire casts allows you to proc eldriych mana well rather than medding. You also get the passive med while casting. So its nice to cast those as well. I find in the duration of casting them by the time I'm done I have enough for another fs. Then hopefully I get a plethora of refunds or a eld proc.
I also love that corpse skin procs disease allowing us to use the damage to disease multi links. Giving necroo a much larger dmg increase over the 25% (+/-) additive you would get from MR even at 100.

Don't rush to endgame. No reason. There aren't any benchmarks in this game. Take it at a fun enjoyable pace.
@@PwnstarrGaming No rush =p just worry about me spending lots of time and the build being bad later on. I got all the codex for your bleed warrior build to find out i had to switch many things around due to game changes and got frustrated and went back on my necro XD. Still a new player so still lots for me to learn anyway thank for the reply i dont care about meta stuff as long as i can just do the content and it don't feel like hitting a battleship with a slingshot. I really like how warrior dexers play but mine is just to damn weak compared to my necro/sum =p This video should make it better i hope dropping herding for focus. Not sure if i want to pick up inscribe tho yet will look more into it to get a better understanding. If its casting spells with scrolls might be to much of a cost for me atm
