Thanks for hopping on board with us this week! Could you live your life at sea? And if you couldn't, what would be holding you back? Also, if you enjoyed this video, please consider sharing it with someone you think would also find escapism from it.
Living life at sea is the dream! My main concern is seasickness. I have had it a couple times, and been perfectly fine others. Neither of you seem to struggle with it at all. Any tips/tricks/magic solutions that might help me put it away for good?
Becka & Zack: I've been following your channel for several years and I must say, the episode's keep getting better and better. The material, story telling, cinematography, sound and editing is right on smashingly elegant. We are so Happy, crossing another episode off your bucket list is what we all should be doing. Shellback's for life!

@@TeuluTribei agree. I wish you’d share some of those tidbits for those of us curious about how things aboard work. Such as the spinnaker; what makes it different and why it’s used at that time instead of another sail. Like how you talked about the different nav screens. Absolutely enjoy your channel, thank you for sharing your adventures for those of us stuck at home on land. Keep up the great work.
As a humble monohull sailor, who has, I have to admit, disparaged Cats for years, seeing life and comfort on that floating apartment has been an eye opener .. another superb episode, great storytelling, superb filming and editing, and also as always, and unlike many other YT channels, really good episode length ! Love you kids! I sooo appreciated Becka's idea of Zach wearing her bathingsuit bottoms. We need thumbnails of that. Congrats on becoming Shellbacks! That spinnaker is gorgeous, isn't it. Safe travels. ❤
Congrats and kudos to you both on becoming Shell backs! This might be my favorite video yet....which even though I say that all the time, I always mean it! lol Already looking forward to the next installment on your journey 😊Have a great week, guys!
This was a feel good video and you know what? It felt good. Very nice. As to the birds, maybe have a super-soaker water gun on board? The one kids play with? You probably don't have to fill it with fresh water.
We are glad that it came across like that! A super-soaker would have been a good idea, it's just a shame they were trying to land on the one place we couldn't let them land 😅
This was the best for yall to sail on a different boat and find out what it’s like. Great equator crossing and the ceremony that was done and to funny. On a different note loved the podcast yall did with Ocean cruisers yall did amazing. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much for your kind words! We had a blast experiencing the equator crossing and the ceremony on the different boat. We also loved doing the podcast 😊
I really really love this video of your journey guys. Becca, you are a most excellent narrator with the way you set the scenes we are about to watch. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
WOW! The 360 camera at the end was just amazing. Good job Becka. So in the last video I warned you about the allure of a catamaran after you've sailed on one, especially after a passage. The room, the comfort, the speed, these are all so different from Teulu. I know you love Teule but I would be the last person to try a predict your future. I just love your channel. Stay safe. ❤🙏
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the 360 camera footage. It was a really different way to do a passage. At the moment we have no plans to change Teulu, she absolutely perfect for us and we have a really big season planned next year for her. But never say never 😊 Cheers Steve!
Good vlog. Sounds like you need an upgrade on instruments, especially if you’re thinking of a spinnaker. True and apparent wind speed as well as wind angle essential. Suggest a cruising shoot rather than a spinnaker as more versatile and easier to handle when short handed. Also cruising shoot generally needs less kit so less expensive. Keep sailing!😊
Becka your 360 views with the dolphins at the end was wonderful footage! If you dipped it in under the surface do you think it would frighten them away. I bet not, they don’t seem the skittish types?!
Becka, that catameran looks oh so good on you. Sounds like a channel fundraiser required to get u new electronic gadgets on yr boat. Anything to make life easier and safer. The 3 of u made a great team
Hi Becka and Zach. Great episode. Nice to see you enjoying the new experience of sailing on a Cat, with a Spinnaker for power. Sounds to me, that all your future upgrades to Teulu, are going to be somewhat expensive. Also sounds like you wish you'd bought a Cat, instead of a Monohull. Maybe a few years and a couple of Oceans later. Russ. UK.
