I am so thrilled that you shared your adventure with us. I've enjoyed sailing all my life .. met my once wife of 30 years on a schooner vacation sailing Maine USA Penibscor Bay with hundreds of islands. I have never done what you are doing and I am 70 and fighting stage four cancer but I have had this last wish to sail the Atlantic on a 360' beautiful sailing vessel that departs Spain Nov 1st and stops in Gibraltar and Moraco and the Canaries four nights and the a 14 night sail to the Caribbeanm . 170 passengers and 70 crew and it just sounds so epic to do for my kids to remember their dad by... For Life is an Adventure... so GO LIVE IT right ?!!! I hope I can be healthy enough to do it. Not for the partying but for the wonder of Nature at its most beautiful are raw. Thank you All for your inspiration as I've seen many pond crossings on UA-cam but yours was one of the best.😊
Thanks for watching Bill. What an incredible way to meet your wife! I’m sorry to hear that, I hope that you have an great time during your trip and it’s as beautiful and memorable as you hope it to be 😊 You’re too kind!!
Cheer's Bill, my son is 39 and has terminal colon/liver cancer. He get's mad when he sees old people as he will never be old. I hope you had a good life.
Hey Bill, you need to fast. No food for at least 10 days. Cancer needs sugar to survive!!! Also start taking Vitamin B17, do coffee enemas multiple times each day to help your liver get stronger. B17 is not legal in the US, but you can get it from Mexico. DO NOT GIVE UP! My mom survived stage 4 ovarian cancer 6+ yrs ago!
I can not tell you how I feel, so elated for you, almost tearful. How long have you owned a boat, not one year and here you are. Zac and Becks you are amazing and me, an old man is so envious. Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
from novices to ocean sailors in less than a year - simply awesome and what an inspiration. Brilliant video too. Someone else has already said it, but your filming of the ocean was so much better that most vloggers manage. You’ve bloody done it!
Had shivers when becka was reading the poem of her Mom. Truely an inspiration what you are doing and a reminder how wonderful life on this beautiful planet can be. Thank you guys!
@@TeuluTribe Hi, Fascinated by your experience and the poem at the beginning of the video is so melancholic and beautiful. What is the title of the poem and where can I find the words please?💚🙏
What a treat! One hour of Amy and Rory and Teulu TARDIS on a passage!! With friends!!!! Reef early and often indeed… Seriously so happy for you living the dream- you inspire me…I am 66 and will be looking at a cruising sailboat this month. Hope to be out there in the next few years on my own little Teulu. God bless you for your brave adventure. ❤🎉
Hi Gary 😊 Glad you liked the longer episode of the Tardis adventures haha! I hope the viewing goes well and that we see you out on the water in the next few years!
About a week ago, I found this amazing channel. After watching an episode, It was clear to me I had to go back and watch your journey from the start. So that is exactly what I did. I watched the build up to getting your new boat. Then all the repairs and upgrades that came along with boat ownership. Your infectious positive attitude and drive to make this a reality kept me glued to the TV. I have loved watching this journey unfold in a rather short amount of time. Seeing the joy sailing and being out on the water brings you is amazing to see. You guys were clearly meant to be doing this. I really can't wait to see where your adventures will take you. Be safe and keep being awesome ! Much love from Vancouver Island Canada.❤️⛵️
Greetings from Germany. Congratulations on this ocean crossing. The accompanying music was spirtual and your mother's poem was pure love. You were innocent children before the crossing. Now I don't think there will be any more tears when the wind pipes up to 25 knots. Looking forward to further adventures.
Fantastic, so pleased for you. It seems like only yesterday that you were getting used to sailing Teulu in coastal waters, and making numerous improvements to just about every aspect of her and its culminated ( for now ! ) with an Atlantic crossing ! Again, really pleased for you.
Outstanding! Your Mother's poem touched the heart. The music was wonderful. You two are on your way to becoming "Old Salts" as the sea becomes part of your souls. So proud of you guys!
The last time I watched your channel you were going out on your first sail. And here you are less than a year later you have crossed the Atlantic! I’ve been sailing 55 years and I must say I’m really impressed how far you have come so quickly.
What an episode! Sonia’s singing was great, your true comments along the way about ups and downs, and also your choice of music framed the whole episode. It’s inspiring that you have come so far in such a rather short time (since you got the boat I mean). My boat is being prepared and I hope one day to set off. Apart from some practicalities, being healthy and having at least some savings, it’s most of all a question of making up your mind. You did, and look at you!
I’m glad you liked it so much, Becka spent more time editing this episode than any other episode! Fair winds for your upcoming adventures, maybe one day we’ll see you in an anchorage or out at sea 😊
@@TeuluTribe Well she did very well, I could see there was much effort in to the editing 😀. Yes, I hope I will manage to let go of land one day. Am gradually improving the boat, so I hope to succeed! All the best, and fair winds!
Wow, another great one. Your transitioning from one scene to another is getting way better! AND HEY, your gonna LOVE the Caribbean. Totally going to be life changing!!!

Best 54:11 I've spent in a very long time. Thank you for the extra work involved in a video that long. Great luck with the fishing. Your best video. You managed to convey, in some sense, what it's like to make this ocean crossing. It's pretty obvious you put a lot of work into this video. Thank you.
Nautical miles really are a big thing: Mindelo (Cabo Verde) to Freetown (Antigua) metric is 3,896.70 km (2,421.30 mi) (says Google maps) and in nautical miles that is "only" 2,104.
Congratulations!! On the crossing and the brilliant video! So impressed with how you kept on smiling and just dealing with the difficult weather, no wonder you have a bit more confidence in yourselves and the boat now - love that feeling when you just know the boat is looking after you, even if life is pretty uncomfortable. And loved seeing it all in one video (rather than strung out over loads of episodes) - it really gave a sense of the journey. A lovely bit of escapism for those of us stuck on land for now!
Now That was an episode to be proud of, Teulu. All 54 minutes and 11 seconds of it. Great to hear the harmony singing at the end. I got a treat when I found you folks. the first thing I noticed about your sailboat is a ketch rig. Way back in the 70s, I bought a new Challenger 35 Ketch, My wife named her "Challenger" as she thought the name was very appropriate. We sailed her all over Lake Ontario and lived on her every year from April 1st till November 1st with our two boys. I was sad in 1994 when I sold her because we moved to the land of shallow water, Florida. I noticed it was quite a while before you hoisted the Mizzen. we loved sailing with our mizzen anytime it was possible. your boat is beautiful. quite a nice seaworthy craft.
I love watching family and friends do trips like these over the seas and oceans I've always wanted to do trip like these with my family just work to hard and don't have the means to do it so thank you all for your videos

Wonderful videos. We had a Colvic Watson 32 and so many details are the same, even down to the identical gimballed cooker, the lazyjacks, coachhouse horse for the mainsheet, navionics, cavernous bilges and dodgy wiring! I sort of felt that I was on board and followed your boat handling with great interest. Then you invested in the electrics/solar big time and have made a super oceangoing boat work really well ... just as well you had a heavy old long keel for the trip across without which life would have been even more uncomfortable. The difference between us is that you made the boat go the distance and we did not venture west of the Channel! Full admiration! Bravo Teulu tribe!!

Fantastic sailing, Folks, welldone! I feel I´ve crossed the Atlantic with you as part of the crew. Thank you very much for sharing this amazing experience with us. Cheers and good winds always!
I was fortunate last fall to help my cousin move his boat from the DC area to South Carolina. We hit the tail end of a tropical depression and the swell size was 12 to 15 foot. I just posted a video finally but it’s wild how the video footage doesn’t show how intense and large the waves are. I could tell by your footage you were in some good size.

Superb episode one of my favourite of all the channels I watch. Absolutely bloody doing it!
Great to hear! 😁
Terrific job all! What a wonderful crew, too. Thanks for the great video & for regaling us with the ups & downs of the crossing. U all may qualify as the Von Trapp Family Singers, Part 2.😉👍
To live such a dream this side of heaven must be a great blessing. What a wonderful chapter of your journey!
You really proved yourselves.
Not just challenging but dangerous and you played it safe and came out on top.
Great job !
Cheers 😊
Unique crossing as Sonya plays and the crew sings Shanty's aboard Teulu. Epic video, one each aboard should be proud to be part. Fantastic, and hope to view more on your voyage. Thank you for sharing this marvelous crossing.
Thank you David! More Caribbean voyages to come 😊
Great video and trip and a good spirit onboard, I enjoyed coming along and the beautiful singing of course 👍🙂and the hats 😂...congrats to all of you 🌌🌎
Thank you kindly! Glad you liked the hats 😅
Congratulations on crossing the Atlantic Ocean. Bravo. Stay with your dreams.
Outstanding, congratulations to all! Glad you arrived safely. You should be very proud of yourselves for what you've achieved, the video captured the highs and lows wonderfully. Bloody did it!
Thank you Philip! 😁
Well done on the crossing. Quite an accomplishment, your sailing skills have really developed and you are now doing ‘sailor speak’ with talk of beam reaches etc!
Thank you! It’s all we talk about now 😅
This is amazing, you have come from land based students, to sail across the oceans. Welcome to the Americas. I love your channel : )
This video has had me stuck to my screen fantastic job and guess what guys? You BLOODY DID IT !!!!!!!!
Haha thanks Peter!! ☺️
Fantastic sailing, Folks, welldone! I feel I´ve crossed the Atlantic with you as part of the crew. Thank you very much for sharing this amazing experience with us. Cheers and good winds always!
Our pleasure! Thanks for joining us 😁
I'm sitting here clapping!!! 🤔🤔 Very well done!!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️
That’s very sweet, thanks Paul ☺️
I was fortunate last fall to help my cousin move his boat from the DC area to South Carolina. We hit the tail end of a tropical depression and the swell size was 12 to 15 foot. I just posted a video finally but it’s wild how the video footage doesn’t show how intense and large the waves are. I could tell by your footage you were in some good size.
Great film, thank you… every trip needs a guitar and a song … well done Sonja!
What a great trip, what a great video - amongst the top three videos for an Atlantic crossing I have seen on UA-cam!!!
That means a lot to us! Thanks 🙏

Sonja”s singing and your mum”s poetry with the rolling waves was awesome .
Great film, I'm only half-way through because I've got to get up early for work in the morning. I'll watch the second half tomorrow night. Congratulations on a great piece of work and well done Sonya on the shanty - that was beautiful.
Thanks 😊 We’ll see you tomorrow, something to hopefully look forward too!
You guys are killing it, nicely done. Really enjoying your efforts.
Cheers Ed!

Awesome episode! Loved it...
Your mum's poem was beautiful!
Cheers Mike, glad you loved it ☺️
Just got recommended this video and then immediately went back and watched through your whole Teulu series! You guys are so fun and the real deal and I look forward to seeing your adventures. I'm a huge fan of Riley and Elayna so seeing your guys take on a similar adventure and going through some of the same steps (like buying the biggest anchor you can possibly find) is really fun. Enjoy the Bahamas!
Welcome aboard! It always makes our days when someone says they have just watched from the start of this journey, I hope you enjoy the rest of it 😊 We’ll hopefully be in the Bahamas next season.
@@TeuluTribe Doh! I meant the Caribbean, very sleepy. And forgot to say I'm so excited to see surfers doing this journey! Can't wait to see all the waves you find!
We have just watched your Atlantic Crossing video, first time we have tuned into you! Well done, great! Look forward to more of your adventures.
Welcome aboard! Thanks for the watching Diane 😊
