I hung out with these guys backstage in 2003. They are by far, some of the nicest, most genuine people I've ever met. I told the band how I got backstage with a fake pass to sneak them my demo, and they said "Whoa that's awesome man, want some food? They even threw in some tickets to their next show and offered to let me cruise on the bus with them. They look scary, but they're all class.

I love Korn and Head. Whether they get back together or continue doing their seperate thing is fine by me because they all produce good music.

It does not take away from his testimony and the miracle the Lord has done in his life. Im a Christian and went thru a dark time which is when I became a korn fan originally. I had gotten away from God. I had sinned and still am a sinner so no judgement from me. I dont own any korn cd's any longer but....
i wish they'd just let him talk without constant interruptions.
It's going to be hard for Brian to stay drug free and not fall back into the "ways of the World" if he tours with Korn. However, with God's help ALL things are possible and Nikki Sixx (of Motley Crue) and Ted Nugent are hard rocking crazy men who remain drug and alcohol free. With God's help "Head" can be an inspiration for a lot of kids who love Rock and Roll but want to stay away from Dope. Only time will tell...

I was worried when I heard that news but you're right, only time will tell. But I'm not worried about him per say - of course I am but the most important is that God's name can't be ashamed =(
+randy109 Been sober for 15 years now and did it without a God. But if that works for him then I'm glad. You've gotta do what's right for you. I just think in my case it would be very unfair to give God all the credit for something I busted my a#$ for. It was one of the hardest things I've ever done and I'm going to thank credit for this one along with my family, friends and those who helped me along the way. I will not put all my success or failures onto a being that may or may not exist when the person who deserves and earned those successes and failures is sitting right here. Seems like a cop out not to take responsibility for yourself at times. Just my two cents.
+gummoboy333 sure he is. Who says role models have to be perfect? I'd question any seemingly perfect role model. Give me an honest man who screws up all the time. Someone who despite his past problems tries to be a better person and to help those around him. To me, that's a role model. The rest of the nonsense is irrelevant.
One of the things that Head mentioned in his book titled "Save Me From Myself" is that he has sometimes had dreams of coming back to Korn on drugs, and seeing people laugh at him saying, "I knew he wouldn't last as a Christian".
Yet now he seems to think that it's no big deal to rejoin this band, whose lyrics are commonly filled with anger, depression and profanity. Very strange. Anyway, I am a former Korn fan. My testimony is on my website in case anyone is interested.

I'm Christian and have been a KoRn fan since the 90's.
He wrote Save Me From Myself in 2006 and this is 2013 so it might be fair to say his feelings could have evolved in that time. The thing about anger, depression, and profanity is it's part of the human condition. Everyone - good people, bad people, Christian people - is prone to these feelings and thoughts. It's time to stop trying to shield ourselves from that reality. It's time to embrace it and spread the good that comes from it. Head will be an agent of change in Korn. He will do good here.
I don't care what anyone says. This is NOT disappointing in any way. What WAS disappointing is that Head left the band completely, instead of just simply changing his partying habits or saying NO to a drug offer. All that is in the past now and I look forward to the FUTURE. Head is an amazing musician and KoRn is an amazing band. Together: Unstoppable. For 8 years KoRn has been somewhat empty. I strongly feel their old sound will return with the return of Head, And that, my friends, is exciting!

I became a born again Christian in 2010. Head has been a big part of my development as a Christian. Love Korn though so I'm glad to see he's at a point where he can return to Korn and be cool now. Btw, is it me or is that lady cutting him off a lot? lol

Related Ray: I wouldn't say Ray is better. No both are on the same level but in different ways. Ray is more fussy like a small kid. It is his own style to play. He is playing different and uses more parts of the drumkid especially many cymbals. In opposite to him David has more groove and aggressivity in his style of playing drums and use more different drums.

Thumbs up If you went to highschool in the mid to late 90's and listened to Korn, Limp Bizkit, NIN,Manson and The Deftones. The only band I can still listen to non stop is the deftones though.

everyone in korn actually did stop using drugs,years before head left,and then after that they stopped drinking,and jon has been sober since 99,munk for about 2 years with his drinking,and fieldy for about 6 years....
I have to agree with you there. Ray is a better technical drummer, But Davids drumming style is so unique that it fits Korn and their sound in a way that no other drummer can. I love Ray, but I would take David back in a sec if I had the chance. It will never happen in a million years though, David seems to hate his ex-band mates with a passion. I don't ever see him swallowing his pride, and apologizing to the band for all the shit he said. He's had and will always have a gigantic ego problem.

Why is that? You must know something we don't about the atmosphere within the band these days. Does everyone within the band have no morals and bad values or are you just assuming that's what's going on? You see, I've heard the exact opposite, that its become a great, loving, healthy, and supportive environment since Brian's departure. Plus, Love and Death and Korn are a whole lot different anyway. He still has time with LoD, as Jon has time for J Devil. Munky and Fear and the Nervous System, and Fieldy and Stillwell.

Bottom line..Praise God he got saved first and foremost!!! He only played one gig with Korn and band members are just like family. So if u are a Christian we all have some or many who are not that are in our lives. The Lord could actually use brian to lead the others. As far as getting back together and touring for such a great extended time surrounding himself-playing the music over and over-could open doors for the enemy to come back and cause him to back slide etc. BUT..we all have made bad
huh...life on the road as a touring metal band would host all sorts of crazy tour stories. John was probably just worried Head was going to expose the worst parts without justifying the situations.

You clearly don't understand the purpose of dark or depressing lyrics. It's about venting that stuff, and it can really help people. In any event, the reason he quit Korn was because of the wild substance-abusive rocker lifestyle- if you listen to his solo band, it's just as angry/depressing if not more so. Everyone in Korn has their own kids now and they've matured and grown out of that, so the environment is not the same and is much healthier for him to rejoin.
If that's what he needs to enjoy his life then I'm all for it, even if I think religion is stupid.

So your weak for finding peace and comfort in spirituality? Regardless of how you feel about the afterlife or lack there of, its made him a better person. What's weak about admitting you have a problem and asking for help, however that maybe whether it be N.A., A.A., or spirituality? It's all just a way to escape from the pressures of life anyway. Some ppl use drugs to do it and others use god. The difference is one is much healthier and he just traded one for the other. Everyone needs an escape
Head should go back with Korn although they are still good without him but being with Korn doesn't mean it will ruin him. If his faith is strong enough and he's with God then he wouldn't be tempted to do wrong and he could play with Korn.

As long as Korn's songs are for the Glory of God then Brian is doing the right thing. But the Bible says it is better that one does not know God at all than to have known Him and turn back to what they first knew and become 'lukewarm'-meaning one foot in the world and one foot in the Kingdom. Hopefully this isn't Sodom and Gomorrah for Brian Welch. :-( And for those of you who don't understand my words open the Bible and read it! Brian Welch would understand.
