Lyrics:
I am watching the rise and fall of my salvation
There's so much shit around me such a lack of compassion
I thought it would be fun and games, instead it's all the same
I want something to do, need to feel the sickness in you
I feel the reason as it's leaving me, no, not again
It's quite deceiving as I'm feeling the flesh make me bad

This band made my childhood fucking awesome.
same here!
Juan Ulloa same my dad had me listen and i loved them
***** Born '92.
Juan Ulloa Born in '96... but I remember hearing this stuff since before I was in kindergarten. Forever, this music has stuck with me. Linkin Park's "Crawling" and "In The End," Korn's "Make Me Bad," and "Coming Undone", most notably "Here To Stay,", System of a Down's "Chop Suey,", and "Toxicity," Mudvaynes "Happy?" and "Not Falling," a lot of late 90s and early 2000s Godsmack, Disturbed, Drowning Pool, and of course Alice in Chains, Sabotage, Queensryche, Megadeth, and Metallica. Being from the city during the '96-02 time period really shaped what I listen to as well.
Fuck I was born in 92 why am I not awesome
Issues is a freakin' masterpiece.
yep
It's my favorite!
real thing
I bought it on tape in year 2000. At first few listens the whole album felt completely distinct and alien than any other contemporary rock music, I just couldn't get no hang of it. It was way too ahead of its time!
You're a good man
I am 30. Been listening to Korn since I was 12 years old. This ages like a fine wine. Still blows my mind.
Nothing was cooler than a new Korn video
These dudes rule, really help alot of us broken kids out
FAX
So true, trouble is for me though, is that i had a bit of a bad upbringing but I don't know if i am broken or not. I'ts just unexplainable how much I love Jon for what hes gone through, and just korn itself. But it's like I love them too much and I feel like over the past few days ive been going insane balling my eyes out because i love them so much, anyway not sure why im telling a random person this but thanks anyway
Never paid attention to Korn much when I was a teen, now Im in my 30s listening back, and HOLY SHIT, they were so original and innovative, amazing songwriting. truly the leaders of their genre.
im just discovering in them in my 50s lol .older i get heavier my music taste is getting 👌
I'm also enjoying the art
Korn aren't in a genre, korn is a genre
The Wedge I’m 20 and I should have started to listen to them ever since I saw them on South Park
Go listen Nirvana old recordings, than talk about original and inovation, Illiteracy will prevail and Bleach
One of the best choruses ever
ever
ever.
and drum tracks
its actually a genius chorus.. the melody is brilliant
W/a bit more orchestration this coulda been a Bond Theme - it's THAT damn good.
Legen.... wait for it....
dary!!
Who's here in 2024?
Reporting live
😂❤
Shut it dude just enjoy the music
Me. 🙋🏻♀️🤸🏽♀️
1:11 love my Jon with dribble mouth
Can we take a minute to appreciate how Fieldy makes this band sound the way it does…i don’t think many other bands can attribute thier bass player to thier sound.
His percussive way of playing fits so well with David's style. Everything about this band just screams UNIQUE
That's always been a stand out for me. When I started playing bass I would adjust/fuck with my amp and pedals so you could hear the difference a slap, pull, and strum.
Fieldy and Silveira worked well together
May I introduce you to every rockabilly band ever?
No but im seriousness you are right, in the modern world it's a sound distinctive to Korn.
@@wiggawithattitude i agree…and love rockabilly but this was a completly new sound for nu-metal. 👍🏻
When we were kids, we were just as anxious, depressed, and unhinged as the kids of today.
The only difference was we had outlets like Korn that reminded us that we weren't alone.
some pop female singers are doing that now, who would imagine?
Yea now we got tik tok to make us feel more depressed
Keep it reel bro
They just helped me a few hours ago. 45 years old, 6ft 7, 130kg's and 30yrs later, this morning " I did my time " just said its time to accept the emotional abuse was as bad as only i have known. Time to screw those who are going to get hurt when I bring out the horror he inflicted. His dead now so im now making it about me for a change.... No other band in this world would have got me here....
Worse thing to see when ur feeling depressed is Nicki Minaj
I love reading the comments and seeing people just discovering Korn later on in life. As a young teen, the songs mean so much more. Great to see they are still getting new fans
i discovered korn with 17 in 2021 lmao
I didn't relate to jirn until now, 40's, lol
And yes, makes me feel less alone
Didn't relate to Korn, until now, 40's, lok
me discovering them from that one South Park episode from a re-run a few years ago. I knew who they were because I had an emo phase in the early 2010s and my boyfriend liked them at the time but I was way into Nirvana and Pearl Jam lmao
I'm 14 now, my father raised me on metal and death core. I love this band with everything, I think it is one of the bands i'll stay with till i'm older.
Based dad
happy 15 i guess
Awesome dad trust me :) 40 here, l approve dad!
Great dad...Im 40 and have been listening to them since day one and seen them live many times and I turned my dad on to them
soy ese
There is something about his voice that is so unique. I get so much chills when I hear him. He is so icinic
Iconic.*
He's a grief shaman and worked as a morgue
Fieldy's bass riff during the verses is absolutely amazing.
I love his style of slap playing, it sounds so good. His riff in Got the Life is also pretty spectacular.
It's more of his approach to producing the bass sound rather than playing technique/style.
MrWillyWonka
"Light My Fire" meets "Ice Ice Baby"
Hell yeah
Korn always made me feel like it was okay to be slightly crazy...
IT IS OK TO BE CRAZY
Crazy means not boring
The name of the song at the end of the video pls!!!
Me too
« Ce n'est pas le fait de me sentir fou qui me dérange. C'est le fait de me sentir normal dans cette folie alentour. »
I let you translate it from the Français if you want. :) Cheers !
The volume can’t go up enough to appreciate this gem
I gotta give my props to the bass player, without him Korn wouldnt have that iconic Korn/Bass sound..been a fan since 9 but didnt relize till later,he was the backbone to their style
Facts
right now i'm exploring nu-metal of the 1990s / 2000s and I wish I were a Teenager in that time
Korn are kings of the catchy chorus
Fuck I miss these guys,
likewise brotha. they were great!!!!
I cæn/t lie to you abôut yōūr čhænces, bʌt you hæve my sŷmpathies∴
KoЯn are the best hands down rock gods absolute killer band I had the privilege of growing up listening to KoЯn is hectic.... jd will always be a God they still make albums till this day...
Katchy Korus tho
The fact that this song has never been used in a “Venom” movie is insane to me
38 yrs old & Still rocking out to korn & ALWAYS WILL
Issues defined an entire generation.
It really did.
Absolutely
Defined my life
Yeah all of them since 2006
@@hellhead4747 Issues came out in ‘99...Plus ‘06 sucked major ass...
man....those good old times...will never come back :(
guys, i mean.... can u remember when this came out?! jesus.... pure melancholi :(
+phil wilder we are getting old dude :/
+phil wilder 2000?
+Aaron Peters yea...such great stuff :( theres nothing like this today...
+Aaron Peters the album came out in fall 1999, but video prob came out 2000. i remember those days. Clinton and being in 9th grade
Good old times, watching this awesome video on mtv while doing homework. time flys - now i am 37 but still listening to the old albums, up and down
Hands down.... The Best Korn Song Ever!!! Been listening nonstop for hours and hours!
Easily one of the greatest KoRn's songs EVER.
Exactly
Naaaah would say they only have great songs xD
Korn, Limp Bizkit, Slipknot, Offspring.
These were the music staples of the late 90's/ early noughties.
Korn had Issues which was their last really thought out album... Limp came out with Significant Other then the shitty Chocolate Starfish, Offspring I don't recall the album from 01 off the top of my head; pre-01/02 was Americana which I still bump today. Slipknot just had Iowa release... Also had MuDvAyNe tearing up the metal scene, Static-X also had new shit drop among some other bands in the early 2000's.
Linkin park. System of a down. Rammstein
linkin park also, why not
Deftones? Anyone?
@@whitewitch5627 ME
Korn is the nu-metal equivalent of Queen IMO. Their catalog and variety is unmatched...
Rest in peace Tatjana Patitz. You were a great supermodel and an even greater actress for this music video. I send my prayers to your family and friends in this unforseen circumstance.
Silveria is one hell of an actor. I miss David. Him and Fieldy brought the real funk and groove to Korn.
I miss Silveria as the drummer :/
es verdad!
Otávio Amaral what happened to David ?
TheLaughingMan0603 why did David leave ?
TheLaughingMan0603 he left because he didn’t really like the band anymore JD said in a interview that David said he was gonna take a break to focus on other things and he just never came back
If this were a movie, I'd totally watch it
Me too
It totally had potential.
@@Bookmaker.. alien?
That's RESIDENT EVIL 4 dude!, Las plagas! 😁
Alien Resurrection
Korn are even more mindblowing now that I am able to appreciate them in more of an experienced and mature way. Their songwriting, sound, performance, presence, and production are unmatched. So many other bands tried to imitate them but fell miles short and disappeared.
KoRn are the GOAT of their generation, hands down.
the late 90s; the peak of excellent music and music videos. I have glad i lived through it and I would never take anything away or add anything, it was perfect the way it was.
Aguante KoRn lpm!
Exactly ❤
sI, NO MANCHES JEJEJEJE YO IBA EN 5TO DE PRIMARIA CUANDO ESTABA ESTA ROLA
KoЯn were about 6 years into their career at this point and were truly the leaders of this genre we now refer to as nu metal. They helped to inspire great bands like Sevendust, Flaw, Slaves On Dope, SlipKnot, Mudvayne, 40 Below Summer, Limp Bizkit, Coal Chamber, and SO many more! Korn are immortal, you just can't f*ck with them!
a few of those around were around the same time as Korn came on the scene, such as slipknot, and coal chamber was before Korn
@@t2av159 No, Slipknot and CC were inspired by Korn and Korn was out before them...Korn technically started in the late 1980s under the band name L.A.P.D. Korns first CD came out in 1993 way before CC and Slipknot.
@@leadme2thebliss21 no
@@t2av159 Yes. Korn were before both of those bands they pioneered the nu metal genre. Educate yourself.
@@leadme2thebliss21 CC predates Korn. Dez was doing stuff before CC existed since the 1980s . you're making stuff up.
For me, the thrill was seeing Tatjana Patitz, Brigitte Nielsen, and a glimpse of Shannyn Sossamon. (especially Tatjana, as a girl I had her pictures on my wall along with the other supermodels of the 80's). Thank you Korn.
Man If I didn't have music like KoRn, NIN, Marilyn Manson, and Radiohead growing up... I wouldn't be here.
Sameeeeee and incubus to the list because that’s what I heard growing up and tool and deftones
And a perfect circle for me
And Tool
Radiohead tho
@@brianawest._ Hell yea, can't forget Incubus! I grew up listening to them and still do, was just listening to them earlier today :)
I like the way they play their instruments and dance at the same time
Why are their lyrics so gosh darn relatable??
Been listening to korn since 95'. Was 10 years old and had no idea the next 10 years would have been so crazy full of great bands! 🤘
I remember that time 5 long years of playstation/puberty/pornography
Me too dude!
"All I want in life is to be happy"

Ufff amo este tema. Recuerdo que me la pasaba esperando este vídeo en la MTV (cuando era buena)... Hace 20 años...
Been going through it really bad for the first time in eight years. Relieved that I still love Korn. Totally forgot how their songs really convey how shitty the human experience can be. Fan for life. If I can see them in Athens this July, I'm fucking doing it! 🤘
That song is a masterpiece . always gives me strength !
2020 and I continue listening that good shit
You kinda have to since no real music has been written in the past ten years or so.

This video still looks awesome, the whole cinematography and photography looks like it came out today.
I wish they could upload remastered HD versions here.
This album had the best videos in their whole career.
Back when music studios and Hollywood had a shit-ton of moneys to make cool videos.
Even some other Nu-Metal videos from the late 90's early 2000s look pretty outstanding today, compared to what we get today.
Good times.
I totally forgot that Udo Kier played in this video. He just _fits_ into these roles! (Btw: known for his role as an Original Vampire in the first Blade movie)
Udo Kier is magnificent
@FreebirthOne he was in 200 plus movies. Most of which are trash unfortunately. Speaking of the vampire films, he also played Dracula himself in "Blood For Dracula", and "Nosferatu" producer Albin Grau in "Shadow of the Vampire"
Ace Ventura
my favorite KoRn song.

The short song following this one on the album has always stuck out in my head over the years. I'm not even mad that I constantly sing to myself (all I want in life is to be happy)
I think all of us want that for ourselves and others.
I found korn back when I was in middle school, still one of my favorite bands ever

Thank u, I listen to this song everyday
i hope ur life is going well too
There is something about Korn riffs, I cannot explain . So good
This song reminds me so much when I was locked up in the psychiatric center, I felt like I was going insane.. I was suicidal at that time, Korn has been a huge impact on my life.
Same fucking here. I got committed back in 2012. I had "Lets Get This Party Started" and "Wake Up" stuck in my head my entire stay.

I was bullied as a kid for being gay for many years, and I took solace in your music, the only thing that made sense then. The anger is quieter now, but it's there and it has its uses. Korn are forever relevant to someone like me and I am forever a fan. TY Korn for giving my emotions a voice and a sound. For making my life better (and making me bad!)
whoever said Korn "Was" great is Dumb they are great and will always be gods to me they changed my life I been listening them for over a decade now

LMAO
I mean, that's a little obsessive and creepy, Stan, but you do you.
Same here, bug i have been listening them for 20 year, omg im old
The 90s was the last great decade.
KORN ROCKS!!!!!!
I can’t remember my life without the music of this band. KoRn for life 🤘🏻
Watching KoRn's drummer suffer at 2:30 made me feel sad even though it was just acting . He really knows how to perform .
Same
Also it was around this time that his wrist injury started affecting his involvement in the group.
I remember hearing David's wrist was gonna make him stop drumming , and it broke my world.
This, Twisted Transistor, Somebody Someone and Evolution are the best videos of KoRn
Nah b, all the songs from the first two albums r better than twisted transistor in my opinion.
That's true, but i mean the video, i think the video (like Alone I Break) is great, but i don't like the song

someone noticed that Silveria was the best actor?
Oh my god yes
He also gets a lot of camera in the A.D.I.D.A.S. video, while Head usually doesn't that much camera on Korn videos, there are some exceptions though but generally speaking

this is definitely one of my favorite korn songs
Crazy how Fieldy fit so well into this band lol he seemed like a straight up hip-hop guy
I agree 👍. His playing also shaped that signature sound that is unmistakably Korn. I could go on and on about slap and pop (mainly slaps) on bass but how it is integrated into their music... pure perfection.
and then he looked like trujillo lmao
Love how to the drums are made more simple in the final outro chorus
Adds a massive amount of heaviness
Amazing production/writing
I love you Korn!
This video is a trip down memory lane for me.

Korn is for life
I’m SHOCKED these guys only have 2.5M subs on YT. They deserve better
I remember when I was a kid, I've heard this track for the first time, now I'm 31 and it still gives me the same feeling. That chorus drum line combined with the slap bass is just out of this world, it's the one that gives this song something that you can't put your finger to
20 years later, and I still feeling the same energy that I felt when I heard this song for the first time. We can't turn back time, but these songs always made me remain every little thing of my teenage, and I'm so thankful to live these times, and can hear Korn today.
