its fun to use the scale, i hit it right on several times lol Made you recipe for the raisin bread, it's cooling right now. When i have more time i will bake in the oven
Another recipe to add to my collection. Thanks so much! Can you tell me what powered milk does in bread baking? I would like to bake nondairy breads but so many calls for non far dried milk. What is that beautiful plant you have growing in your kitchen window? Love your apron.
Milk powder, same as liquid milk, makes a softer bread with a fluffier crumb. You can just use water if you want non dairy or try almond, oat milk, etc. The plant is a money tree. It was a gift from a student when she was in my 2nd grade class. She’s now 18! I love my apron too!!!

So my pans are on order from Amazon and I’m still making the wonderful Hawaiian bread. So my question for you my bread friend Ellen. The GF cinnamon raisin bread that was removed was awesome but was removed. Did you come up with a replacement?
I haven’t been working on gf lately but I do have a gf cinnamon roll recipe that works great!ua-cam.com/video/P19L1nA6Xw8/v-deo.htmlsi=nSgz9SriviBfuNQr
Hello there 😊. I have stopped using all the different cup/bowls for my ingredients. I now just use the bread maker pan it self. Zero out your scale, and start measuring from there, making sure to zero out in between each ingredient.
@@BreadMachineVideosWithEllenH Definitely take your time and if you do then normally it’s a grain or two and that’s a pinch. I’ve done this several times and no problems and less items needed.
@@BreadMachineVideosWithEllenH My pan came in from Amazon yesterday morning. 😀. This means bread time today just stopping off for some clips. Wish me luck 🍀
I take that bowl off the scale , then put what ever bowl I am filling in the scale. I know you said u do it so there are less bowls to clean, yet I am confused now, by putting the bowl I am using to put my ingredients directly on the scale has worked for me, am I messing up the use of the scale
You can definitely bake in a regular two pound lloaf pan. It wouldn’t be big enough for two. I’ve never added raisins but no reason why you can’t. The one problem is that what makes this bread unique is that it’s compressed in the mold. The texture may not be as dense as it’s meant to be if you don’t use the mold. It’s almost like pound cake.
thanks so much for answering so quickly. what I'm basically looking for is a fluffy, soft white bread without adding cinnamon and brown sugar but adding in golden raisins. As you can tell by now.....I love my raisins. Its great fiber since I don't tolerate too many different kinds of other fruit these days ( besides prunes and I don't think I want a prune bread...lol I think I'll stick to your brioche recipe as I love eating it without anything on it! @@BreadMachineVideosWithEllenH
@@janicemcvay8158 the cream bread is not a fluffy bread. Have you tried my white bread and my semolina bread? Those are both soft and fluffy. Go to my website and use the super easy search. Www.EllensBreadMachineRecipes.com
No. I thought I explained in the video. The cream bread only works because of the compression/less room to rise and bake. I tried it in a loAf pan and it collapsed as I thought it would.
@@BreadMachineVideosWithEllenH I went out and bought lemons and heavy cream. Ingredients are in the Zo now. Will test it out in my Pullman pan. Oh, and I found that info on the reason for the pans in your written recipe.
I only buy heavy cream… lasts way past the expiration date and if I want milky for cereal, or milk needed recipes and such I just add water to thin. Never ruins anything

Wow! Look that perfectly shaped loaf! It look fabulous. Great job.
Thank you! It’s a fun one!
WOW, that's amazing. I like the pan. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
Looks and sounds yummy. I'll have to order the pan and try it.

That looks amazingly yummy 😋 🤗🥰👩🍳👍👍👍
It’s so rich and dreamy!

🤷🏻♀️ Hey Ellen, do you think bread could be baked this way in these pans? I like my bread small and this shape is perfect for me
I think any bread could be baked in those pans.

I would never take that chance for fear of putting in too much. Taking some out would be quite difficult especially if it’s salt, sugar, or yeast.

No. You don’t have to use the bowl that comes with the scale at all. I just use it under whatever I’m weighing in to keep the scale cleaner.
Can you use a regular bread pan if you don’t have the special pans?
You can bake this in a loaf pan but it might have a different texture.
Is it possible to bake the dough in two regular loaf pans? And, adding raisins?

Is the fancy pan essential to the success of this recipe? Could I bake it in a traditional bread pan?

@@sariswede I’m wondering that too. I haven’t tried it yet. If you try it and it collapses, you can make bread pudding with it!

Oh my goodness!😅 I just bought two of these pans at a secondhand store two days ago, and wondered if I could strap them together for breads and such

Yes! We only buy half and half!

Ok. I don’t know about pdf programs But it should definitely open on my website.
Well my loaf is now in the oven on its last rise and then on to baking. Fingers crossed that all goes well.
