Splash is an amazing move. Why would a pokemon like Water Onix or Milotic be able to learn it if it sucked? By this logic, Hoppip is also good.
It does actually have an extremely miniscule chance of doing something, but you're more likely to find a shiny than that.

I don't mind the long ad because it's something you actually like and finding out that your mom was in a band and did a lot of t-shirt printing is kind of cool... so extra MDB stories👍. You should totally have your mom do a story at the end of a random video coming up just to see if people actually pay attention all the way to the end.
Suggestion for a run. You have to use every TM as soon as you get it. Would involve some strategy on gym order and when to pick up certain TMs. To make this work you would probably have to use Mew, so that could be fun right?
He would have to catch Pokémon just to learn a TM. He would then have to forget useful moves to learn a TM.
It should also be noted that he can't learn a TM then release the Pokémon.
Mew isn't required.

With all the Accuracy Problems in this run, you probably should have used Arieal Ace, at least for some fights before switching to Return. It would have been stronger to use Arieal Ace for the Grass Gym too. Since Super Effective+STAB would do more damage against the Grass Types than just 102 power Returns

That Agatha fight was an absolute nightmare. You would figure with 100k+ viewers, one would be an online small business owner who could do something like this. I really respect him letting you just do whatever you wanted for the ad.
On our way through, I took the helix fossil. I knew if I didn’t say what I took you’d all ask. Actually now that I think about it everyone ask anyway. Comments are good for the UA-cam algorithm.
I hope he names it Magikarp 'cause that'd be hilarious. I think he can win, but Hoppip's lackluster stats and poor movepool are probably gonna necessitate some powder shenanigans and creative strats to over come threats that resist grass and normal moves especially in a gen before eviolite. Blaine might actually be a challenge for once. RNGesus be with you.

Aerial ace has a 90 base power after stab plus it always hits. For Agatha you would cut out a lot of issues because you can actually hit her and for the rest of the fights you would not really miss much power compared to Return being around 100 base power.

I suggest a Red/Blue run with only Magmar. If you look at its move list you’ll understand why.
If you want throw in no Tms for added challenge I’m pretty sure magmar would have one of the highest base stat totals for a mon in a single run that you’ve done so far.
Only Ember until level 30-something. At least Brock wouldn't be much of an issue (since Ember isn't Normal or a physical type).

@@terriblejokefactory8831 Onix's defense is so much higher than his special defense that a resisted special attack does the same as a super effect physical attack, which leads to a hilarious situation in Gen 3 where they gave Charmander Metal Claw to try and help with Brock but it doesn't really do anything because Ember is just as good.
@@terriblejokefactory8831 Ember always makes a joke of Brock's team. Just not _as_ quickly as the water and grass types, but "beat everything in two turns" vs "beat everything in one turn" is definitely good enough.
That's just gonna make things even more brutal. He's gonna need all the good moves and coverage he can get if he wants even a chance to win
I'm so glad Khimyra gave you freedom to say what you want for the sponsor, it just makes sponsorships a little more creative. I've seen the same script and video go with at least five raid: shadow legends sponsors recently.
Actually, while watching this episode, I had a thought of for a new variation on a pokemon challenge for you. Only one pokemon, no items outside of held items (even outside of battle), and can only use each Pokemon Centre once including healing from fainting, in exchange for having access to fully evolved forms of pokemon you have already done a challenge with.

Thanks to MDB i do Pokemon challenge from time to time. I just "love" fights where you are just like "yep grind it is'. And in the end you just win just because your lucky. But i love it. I'm sure one day MDB will take Dome fossil and PPLwill lose their mind :D

Same as a lot of others, I like the fact that you just talk about the website in your ad. Most of the time I will skip ads, minus one other channel: Evan and Katelyn. They go super silly and obviously were allowed to have a lot of creative liberties... So this is probably the best approach!

Here’s a challenge idea: Pokémon red with only one glitched magnemite. I have no idea if this is possible on emulator but I remembered that you could glitch a magnemite into having fire and electric type. Learned about it from one of the Pokémon stadium vids, either way if you can’t I appreciate you reading this (assuming you did). Keep up the good work MDB!
I'm once again asking for you to do Pokemon Red with only a Porygon. I never got to use it in Red, because the 9999 coin cost, so I'd really enjoy seeing it used like this.

I usually just grind on one of the Islands, I think it was One Island but legit don't remember. There's a double battle and two black belts

@@leannehetherington2164 yes. I double checked. It's the northern edge of One Island, if you line it up right (and don't change Areas) you have 4 battles. A double battle, two Karate Kings, and a female trainer. I rarely fight the fifth one because she spawns too far north but I believe all 5 use fighting types exclusively.

I was actually pleasantly surprised with the ad. I've checked out video sponsors before and I'm usually disappointed with the product or the price, but these guys seem good. I'm especially that they gave you so much freedom and actually liked your content. I was already understanding and okay with ads, but if they're like this I'll gladly welcome them and check them out.

Leech seed and poison powder are the most damaging things I can see hoppip doing in the long run.
Not just your ability to complete these challenges, but the shear amount of patience that is needed, that's the real accomplishment.

My dad worked in advertising for a lot of his life, so I absorbed a bunch of the information by sheer osmosis. Your ad here was, all around, good for everyone. An important bit to note is that it's really important for advertisers to he able to see the results of their ads, for exactly the reason you mentioned. It's kind of standard industry practice. I know of one story of a guy who runs a plumbing company who outright refused to buy an ad from a phone book(for those gen Zs who I'm told don't know, that's basically a dictionary of people and businesses in a city, listing all their phone numbers) because they wouldn't let him put a unique phone number in gis ad with them. He put different numbers in different ads, so that he could tell which ad companies got him the most calls. The only reason not to comply with that kind of stuff is if you're super shady.
And this is why I only felt a little bad when Kelli Marissa named her Hoppip "Butthead" when she caught one during a nuzlocke she streamed, haha.

I think you forgot that Hoppip is a flying type. Aerial Ace is 90 power with STAB, while Return is 102 at max friendship. Aerial Ace would have also been much stronger to fight grass, bug and fighting types, on top of not having to care about accuracy drops/evasion raises.
Oh my God, don't ever justify for having a sponsor! If you can get more money, go for it! You take so much time into making these videos and you deserve every single coin you get!

One of the things that blows me away is the level of freedom the old games give you with the order of which you can do things starting from gen three you’re basically railroaded to follow the damn plot in order
