Been trained to use tourniquets as a first responder... you have to dig deep with super human strength and put it on as tight as possible... and then twist it even tighter. The struggle to put on the tourniquet should be excruciatingly hard!
All the sharks are heading there because Oahu and the other islands have no fish . I live in Oahu and when I dive, there's hardly any fish anymore . Another thing is we keep build next to the shore, and Chas ing the fish away by killing the reef, and Maui has some clean waters making it new territories for hungry sharks. Our islands are being over crowded with people from the mainland. Over fished to feed the many. And you can't blame people for wanting to come here. We have no racism , no gun violence, gangs, nothing compared to the mainland. Don't come here. It's crowded already, and it's destroying the land and ocean. If we had more room then please come but we just don't anymore.
Maybe overfishing is the reason? Have you ever went shopping for food and they were out of one product so you compensate with another its not rocket science its survival 101
maybe just don’t use it in the ocean and always be prepared for something. Kayaking is still so fun, but I’d be scared going kayaking in the ocean, a river works better for me.
A fun fact lol you put more people in the water there is a bigger chance of being bitten. That being said the drive to the airport on the main land puts you in way more danger than anything a shark can do to you. Js
kayaks are ok for river and small lakes. im sorry but anyone fishing in ocean on a kayak only 2 inchs above water they plan out stupid and asking for problems
Kayak fishing is a risk so sharks or any dangerous situation is on... we living on nature and must have respect to nature sharks is predators.. we are too... And the stronger will survive .. Rip to him
No people should know they are invading there home, I kayak in ocean and i know there possibly could be sharks. And i never put my feet out of my kayak dangling out thats just asking to get bit
Pilau (shitty) thing to say about someone who was killed, not to mention his family and friends. Our family's Amakua is the shark, and it doesn't attack innocent people based on race. It mistook the kayak for a turtle or seal. Have respect for our traditions and don't use them for hate.
Sure. We'll stay in the lower 48, and you can figure out a way to keep your crappy economy afloat without our tourism dollars or government hand-outs. Tourism accounts for 20-25% of your state's economy. What do you think the unemployment rate would be if that dried up? You, sir, are a moron.

Fishing in a kayak. Ridiculous.

So you're victim blaming? Absolutely insane that you would blame a shark attack on lack of fish. You've been brainwashed by liberals.
I'm all in on that place
I'm in Washington looking to move here....but naturally being from florida the sharks don't like me. I take no showers
Was gonna buy a kayak. Guess not anymore

When it's your time, it's your time. Go kayak fishing. Ocean, river, lake, wherever. Go enjoy.
