      Thanks for taking a look. While I still own this pull-up bar I have moved to the Crossgrips. They are finally getting back in stock, but I think they are excellent, just expensive. I did make a review on them if you want to check them out.

    Hey man, thanks for the great review! Would love to know how exactly you were able to hook up those resistance bands to let you do those other movements as well. Do you have any guides for that? Thanks!

      In this video I took the ankle strap from the bands (provided by the band supplier) and looped it over the middle handlebars. It is velcro so that held it.

      Yeah, a good way to protect your doorframe. I use the Crossgrips now so I can't do this, but if you have this bar it will work well :)

    A review after having used a product for quite some time is a really good idea. And gaming + fitness? A combo I never knew I needed. I mean I already practice it but for watching on UA-cam. Subscribed! 💪
    How does it work? Is the tension on the upper trim or along the whole doorframe? I am worried about this kind of pull up bar. I don't want to bend my knees in case the bar falls out of the doorframe. If it did I'd hurt my knees real bad I bet. 🤕

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  3 роки тому

      For me, I do have to bend my knees with any bar as my doorframe is just not high enough otherwise. This would be my second choice after the Crossgrips which I've only used for the past month in testing.
      Thanks for checking out GamerBody :)

    Hey again GamerBody! I was wondering what the total duration of time you used the Elite for, or if you remember, and if it caused any damage, or does the red, rubberized grip stuff prevent this?? Also, structurally the most stable + sound you've used outside of the CrossGrips? Thanks, hope you're doing well!

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  7 місяців тому

      I had them for a while, but only this one didn't damage my doorframe (leave some kind of black marking). I really liked that doorway pull-up bar, but the Crossgrips are better if your frame can support it (based on my personal testing and opinion). It is a lot more money for the Crossgrips through.

    I bought this, costed me about 70$ in CAD, and this shit is fucking awesome! I was doubtful (I am a pretty heavy guy), but this worked perfectly and the stability was surprising. Watch me get a demon back in a few months

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  2 роки тому

      I don't use it but I was up until switching to the Crossgrips. A bit more expensive but they are easy to travel with and no door damage at all form use after 6 months.

    • @anangelsdiaries
      @anangelsdiaries 2 роки тому

      @@matttora106 I am? Held up well, and withstood my weight (was 115 kg at the time) pretty damn well, stopped using it for pullups cause because of a mistake on my side I fucked up my door frame. Still use it for pushups and stuff.

  • @michaeltkach8216

    Is it safe for the pullup bar handle to rest on the door frame like that? And the padding is on the drywall? My doors are pretty narrow and look like yours in the video

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  Рік тому

      I think this is fine, but I personally moved over to the Crossgrips by Jayflex. They are just handles, but I find them to be awesome and it doesn't rest on the frame/wall at all, just the top of the doorframe: ua-cam.com/video/d2cb6uYF6RQ/v-deo.html

    Man I’m so bummed because the plastic support bar on my pull up got bent and damaged 2 walls in my house and my parents said I couldn’t use it anymore and now idk what to do but the dip bar is good but without the pull up bar I can’t hang it and i could buy a power tower but i would feel guilty cus my grandparents got the pull up bar for 80 bucks but i don’t but a small bar because I dont like bending my knees so what do you think I should do

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  3 роки тому

      Hmm if you don't want to bend your knees it limits your options a lot for something inside without screwing a bar into a wall. This might be where you need a tree or beam instead. Might be good to look into rings what you could setup.

    • @calisthenicsbeliever7602
      @calisthenicsbeliever7602 3 роки тому

      GamerBody I mean my dad said that we could replace the plastic part by callin up Amazon but it’s either the actual pull-up bar it’s self that’s bending it or it was the support bar that already had a bend

    • @GamerBody

      Right now I'm using the Crossgrips by JayFlex. They are independent handles and have been great so far. However, they have been out of stock for a long time now but I did reach out to their support and they said it is coming back soon.

      @@GamerBody I need to tighten up after losing weight with cardio. Do U have a video on using cardio, push-ups, pull-ups, limited weights to tighten up?

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  3 роки тому

      I think you mean building muscle. You don't really tighten up. I'm working on adding a bands, bodyweight, dumbbells and hybrid workout routine to the site. Still in development but it's getting there :)
      You can use pushups, pullups, dips, inverted rows, squats, glute bridge, calf raise as a solid routine. Turn your hands in for chin-ups to get some more biceps in as well. I alike a 3-3 cadence and aim for 40-60 seconds time under tension per set with last set to failure. 3 sets sould be enough.
      Again this will depend on your fitness level in terms of results and how quickly you change. Not to mention diet and recovery

    My preferred door pull up bar is the GoFit Elevated Chin-up Station. I like it because it elevates where you place your hands. I'm age 20 and did gymnastics for 18 years. Moving into lockdown forced home workouts. I grew up on the bar and moved to more bar workouts after gyms closed (then opened then closed). I'm 5' 9 1/2" tall and enjoy the elevated aspect of the GoFit. I do hundreds of hanging leg raises at all variations and the elevated part helps a lot.

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  3 роки тому +1

      Nice. Mine can't go much higher or I'll hit the ceiling but the extra elevation could help. I'll look into it as a potential product to review. Thanks for watching :)

      @anthonywilson1754 3 роки тому

      @@GamerBody The GoFit is designed for standard 8 foot ceilings. The other thing I like about the GoFit is that it has added handles--parallel handles too. I use those for abs workouts where parallel handles are more stable than regular pull up hand positions. And I do lots of those abs workouts. It makes a huge difference.
