This video was helpful and I just found a cheap $25 bar at Target. I cut the cardboard from a box of cereal and put it on the spots of my door frame to keep it from damaging. Try it out guys
The second bar you showed can be locked in with screwed in metal brackets that it slides down into. The old P90x bar was that style and it makes them much safer and sturdier while still being very easy to take off and put back up. Leaves 8 screw holes above the door if you remove it later but that's it. Highly recommend for anyone who is 200 plus pounds.

Cool video. Also for those people who are tall over 6'4, the door pullup system may not work, your feet will be dragging on ground. You may wanna get that last system, that screws into wall
There's also tension pull-up bar. Kind of like 1:55 but have thick rubber caps as the ends, just screw the shaft so it push into the walls really tight, no crew holes or brackets needed. Some even come with brackets for permanent placement. I put my in the hallway, give a bit more room than doorway.

We should be mounting pullup bars in HALLWAYS. We'd have a lot more height to work with than a door frame. All that is needed is steel pipe (cheap) and bases that can be anchored to the studs of each wall. Even better, span 2 studs with a thick piece of plywood. And mount each plate so it has some vertical support, say 1' tall for each plate. That should be rock solid.

Because I've used the Duonamics and feel the overall design and build looked better. Started following the company on Instagram and liked what they were doing etc. They are seriously solid
@@BackyardNinjaKids Thank you. The reason that I ask is that I live in a rented flat and I thought a bigger contact point would decrease the probability of any damage to the door frame. (the crossgrips contact points seem to be slightly bigger...)
I was wondering if you ever tested the pull up bars that just go in between your door frame and you have twist it to extend the bar to fit tight? Its cheap but I dont want to spend money on a bar that's gonna keep slipping
I don't have one but have used one. A friend has one and they really like it. I might have to get one to further test
@bryan cebrero Do you have a link to one of these bars so I can purchase one?
best konsa h for 100 kg person ??
How did you get the really small ones? I really need it for a vacation coming up!

Yup exactly. There’s also a link in the description if that helps

What's the right way to do a pull-up
Are you asking for a video on perfect form?
I dont see the video on the DIY pullup station.
Thank you for putting this together. Very informative.
For the screwed in cradle on the inside of the of the doorway, (2:34), where do you get the hardward from?
It came with the pull-up bar. Some allow you to remove
Can you please provide the link for the Single Handles on amazon Uk? I'd like the one which you've shown on the movie, which can be used with the door open.
Hey Bro how are I hope you will be fine
I have a problem that I had buyed the pullups bar that you shows us the second one, But my home Doors are so wide and it cannot fixed it, and my dad is not giving me much more money to buy another pull-up bar so can you please guide me ?
Put thick socks on the spot where it would damage the door trim.
Yup that's a great tip 👍
I did that and it slipped and now I have broken arm ...

Left and right sides only! Not the part on the top back of the door trim!
How much weight can this hold thanks 😊
We should be mounting pullup bars in HALLWAYS. We'd have a lot more height to work with than a door frame. All that is needed is steel pipe (cheap) and bases that can be anchored to the studs of each wall. Even better, span 2 studs with a thick piece of plywood. And mount each plate so it has some vertical support, say 1' tall for each plate. That should be rock solid.
Can you link the second bar please
Awesome video! Thanks to you I know my options & I know which one I'm going to buy!!
Which one are you going with?
@@BackyardNinjaKidsI went with the 2nd one you showed, before the vid I was sure I was going to go with the secured one but I realized I want one that has dif hand positions.. Can't wait for my gym to reopen again! Lol THANKS AGAIN!
i guess my door fram is weak to hold my weight & im not interested in that bar besides i was looking for that wall mounted bar which fixed with big nuts screws but is that reliable in long term? anyone
If attached properly absolutely! Could essentially last forever

Can the green one attach to airplane luggage department?
What is the screw in the door frame model that you have? I can't find a good one that is removable but can be mounted like that.
I’m trying to find another model like it. This one was a hand me down from 15 years ago. There’s no name or branding on it
Found this one but the shipping is $25 to Canada. Maybe a useful option for Americans, looks sturdy, has locking clasps and it's only $30. www.amazon.com/gp/cart/view.html/ref=app_itemselect_cart
Is it possible to do pull ups on Dip bar?
Sure. Neutral grip as long as you keep those feet up - better ab workout as well 👍
Where can I buy the 2nd pull up version bar? that's green? with 2 handles
It’s in the description 👍
@@BackyardNinjaKids are they out of stock? because all I see is 3 different versions when I click the link. I want the one that you can 3:21 at where you can just have the handle bars clamp on top of the frame of your door like in the video.
It’s the Duonamic link. I believe they were back ordered like nearly every pull-up bar lately.
Instructions unclear... i broke my ceiling by trying to re-enact wreaking ball by Miley Cirus
😂😂
Can't the first one break the door frame?
Is it possible to modify a pull-up bar that doesn’t seem to support itself on the trim molding? I can’t really modify the trim molding because it’s in a hallway that means one whole door would be expanding outward so that’s not an option.
This was a helpful video about pull up bars
Great to hear! 👍
Can you send me an exact link to the removable screw on pull up bar
I'll try to find it again. They sold out
I found it again! amzn.to/2VUKwQQ
how deep do you think the trim on your door would have to be for the chin up bar to hang off?
Great question. I believe the standard is about 1/2" trim and that's plenty.
