      Yeah, his vids will get picked up soon I'm sure. Sometimes it takes YEARS, but the key is to keep uploading in a steady pattern. Every week, nonstop. The algorithm is more likely to pick up on channels which update with a regular frequency. Doesn't have to be every day, but just a steady and dedicated pattern.

    Would recommend checking out how the creator of these intended/suggests the complete movement - rather than the stationary approach (up/down with no wrist movement), they demonstrate you start in your normal position and rotate your wrists to align parallel(hammer grip) as you go down, hence why they added the movement capability vs using them as small hand bars.

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  4 роки тому

      Yes I am aware and that is how I do use them. It was meant to allow a greater "squeeze" in the chest. If you want you can keep them stationary as well. Them not being tall enough is a small con if any really.

      @@GamerBody Roger that - there is a movement with these that I only stumbled on yesterday researching the SEAL training origins of this equipment. The inventor, Alden calls it "the Power Punch" maneuver (worth a youtube search) - it's an extension of their default recommended but with more twist so that the hands do a complete 180 as you go down, then back to start position again as you pop up. So slight a change, but can really feel it after some good reps.

      Interesting. Just watch out for messing with the elbows and shoulders as they flare out. Don't want to get injured there.

    • @GamerBody

      No different than simple push-ups. They help with wrists and are a bit more comfortable, but in terms of results they are the same as just doing standard push-ups.

    Thank you. I've ordered on the basis of your reviews. Here in the UK, it seems to be called V2 not Elite. Due to wrist issues, I cannot do flat push ups at this time so I'm hoping I can do push ups with these without stressing the wrists too much. I am hoping that the rotation will help the wrist naturally find a 'best angle' when doing the motion.

    • @GamerBody

      Yeah, that's really what they are best for. They try to sell it as more than that, but it is really just a way to help with wrist pain. Good luck!

    I still have a set of original Perfect Pushup bars from probably 15 years ago that work just as good as they did on day 1. No, my set isn't nearly as good as this newer version, but I credit these bars for helping with a lot of development on my chest over the years, which actually did translate over to my bench press at the gym. Highly recommended product to anyone. Even people who lift heavy. If done right, pushups are excellent for "speed work" to activate fast-twitch muscle fibers which will translate over to the bench press and help increase your max.

      Maybe slightly but otherwise no. If you don't have any type of pain or don't care for bars then don't buy them, just do standard push-ups. I like them as I feel more comfortable but there's no big additional benefit. Save your money for something more worth while :)

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  4 роки тому +2

      @@treyg8148 Unfortunately the only way to remove stubborn fat is through a calorie deficit (from my understanding of the current nutrition). Based on everything I have read and watched, your genetics play a large role in how your body burns fat and where it comes off first. There have been some articles here and there that like to say there might be a chance it can help burn it in a certain area, but no definitive proof from what I see.
      As it stands, that fat may just be the last place you lose it. For me, the lower back is the last place I lose fat and it is very annoying. It's just one of those things in life. Can I lose it, yes, but it will take a very long time to do so. Keep being consistent and you will get there!

    Why are you not twisting when you go down?!

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  Рік тому

      The "twist" doesn't change your results. Stressing/fatiguing the chest does. Use these push-up bars to make the push-up motion more comfortable. You really only need to go from about a 45 degree elbow angle (bottom of movement) to palms parallel (top of movement). Anything else is a waste and you may even open yourself up to injury if your flare your elbows too much.

    Hey, finally got these delivered. what should i do if these make me feel pain in my palms? It definitely removed wrist pain which i like, but after using this to complete about half my pushing workout, i started to feel pain in my palms that made it hard to complete my full reps. Maybe i just need to get used to using it, cause i’m pretty sure i’m gripping it correctly.

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  4 роки тому

      That was the issue I had with the originals but the elite version doesn't hurt for me. Make sure you grip then well to try and take some pressure off of the mid palm. Hopefully that helps lessen the pain when using them

  • @adygarza18

    Hello, I can see you rotate from out to in, how about the opposite? Same muscles are involved? Are these good for biceps and triceps?

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  4 роки тому +2

      It really doesn't work the other way. You could probably force it, but it won't feel natural to go the opposite direction.
      For all pushing exercises, some triceps will be involved. For push-ups, it is a focus on the chest but your triceps will assist. A small amount of biceps may as well, but it will be very little compared to the chest and triceps.
      Biceps focus on mostly pulling movements. I hope this helps!

    hey, great video. I was wondering if these were good for stuff like planches. Most people use wooden paralletes for such since their sweat doesen't get in the way. But those are a bit out of my budget.

    • @GamerBody

      Or would be pretty tough with them. I'd save up for maybe the Lebert fitness paralletes instead for that exercise.

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  4 роки тому +1

      @@jgsource552 yeah and the base might not be big enough to support your weight properly or to not roll over. They are good for standard push-ups, but unless you can control a planches well, I would not use this over a standard parallete :/ I don't want you getting hurt or breaking the bars.

    • @GamerBody

      Yeah for those they work fine. I'd be most concerned with them rolling if you can't control the planche. You may be fine, but I don't know your level so I'm not sure. Just want to be safe :)

    Is the rotating action better or worse for your elbows?

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  4 роки тому +2

      As long as you are in control it is fine. The issue comes when you flare your elbows too far. The elbows should stay within a 45 degree angle to your body for regular push-ups. It also makes the movement feel more natural when rotating but the biggest plus is how it helps your wrists if you feel pain doing normal push-ups.

    can you develop chest muscle by simply using perfect push ups?

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  3 роки тому

      As long as the resistance of your body is enough progression to tell your body to build muscle. I add on a weighted backpack now but depending on your level it can. It isn't the push-up bars deciding muscle though.

    • @wreckingopossum
      @wreckingopossum 3 роки тому

      You can add resistance bands to help you with more than bodyweight pushups. Just double it over your back and under your hands. Use the ones marketed as "Pull-up Assist" or "Loop Resistance Bands" rather than the tube ones (IMO)

    • @GamerBody
      @GamerBody  3 роки тому

      I hate band pushups. I know a lot of people are showing them off online, but if you do them and start getting to the larger bands, it is the most uncomfortable exercise, ever. I'd rather use a bar for band chest press, or if I had to, do a band chest press with the bands over my back but pressing with my hands (not in a pushup, but more of a press to fly motion)
