@@DK85 you know it! He is tape gun certified.
Let's go !
I should probably wait until the snow melts. :) (MI)
@@Thelawncarenut I still wonder why do you throw back to the wheel marks? Would t that give you overlap on that side rather I would assume throw right to where the product meets the other product at the pass? Could you explain this thank you
Your videos still inspire BYD, I can’t wait for you to come cut my BermudaGrass 👍🏾👍🏾
I've learned so much from you guys! To bad I have Bahia grass...maybe I should start a Bahia grass youtube channel lol
He's BACK 🤓💯🔥👍🤙
hoorah bro!!
Congratulations on your channel and thank you for taking the time and sharing your knowledge to all of us. This is going to be my first year following your cool season program.
I live in Virginia and I’m growing Fescue. I will take photos of the progress and share them with you.
Thank You
The warehouse footage at the end is awesome!! Its all awesome, all your videos and advice for years have transformed so many hundreds of yards and landscapes around the country. It's great to see a startup small business growing and succeeding!
You read my mind for the video timing. Was just examining how South Florida ground temps don't ever really dip below 70°F and came to the realization that I should have been using over-lapping pre-emerg year-round. So I hit the interwebs and knew right where to go! Only an hour or two before this release I was looking at your vid from about a year ago that actually discussed FL soil temps very well (as is everything you discuss).
Thanks for continuing to share!
I recently made a purchase from Yard Mastery and I received it in only about 4 days. Your turnaround time on pushing your orders out is very impressive. Thank you so much. I appreciate what your company provides. 👍
Love the videos and loved the ending where you showed shipping the product. Just received my prodiamine from you today and it was packaged in the same way you showed here, which is much improved from last year. Love supporting you folks and love the instructional information you share.
Hi Allyn, it's great to see the early signals for Spring-time. Starting to get a bit sick of seeing cold Grey skies and frosty mornings till 11am (here in the Uk) - looking forward to the upcoming season when it's time to throw 'er down!
Wishing i could do this, just blessed with 3” of snow so far! Good stuff this mate threw er down past fall! Green days ahead! Cheers!
Good to see ya back, LCN! Northern NJ here.. We are getting 24" of snow today into tomorrow. Can't wait for Spring and warm weather.
I’m so glad I get to support an American veteran business owner who happens to be the only guy I trust for lawn advice!!
thanks bro!! 👊
Nice to see you out in the lawn, I'm suppose to get six or more inches of snow.
Nice informative video. Interesting to see the spreader agitator staying still when matching the refresh rate of the Video Recording. Like tyres rotating on cars forward - still - reverse with the hz from the sun
Pumped for this years lawn game! Great seeing ya man. Thanks
Nothin better than the smell of a freshly cut yard. Mowing season here we come!!! Love it!!!
Hell yeah LCN! My true mentor; the Jedi master that’s led me to DOMINATION!
wishing that i had the ability to do this for a lifetime! but in the mean time i follow and use your products and learn as i go. it's weird lookin back at your videos and realizing that 2 or 3 years has gone by so fast. Great work and thank you!
Good to see you back Allyn...staying busy in NJ with annoying leaf duties whenever it’s windy but looking forward to “Throw er Down” time....
Any excuse to get outside. I remember them days for sure.
First Spring trying to Tackle my lawn. Just ordered the prodiamine and a soil test kit today. Learning so much from you thanks!
hoorah have fun and thrower down!!
Been waiting for a LCN video for a long time now. Good to see you back on the Tube Sir.
Love the background music. And those cranes were hilarious! Hope the business is going well. So so happy for yal
I have a ways to go here in St. Louis. But as always, love the info and can’t wait for the spring warm up and get everything going.
Time for a Yard Mastery spreader. You could design the best of the best spreader. *Don't forget those of us who use drop spreaders because we don't have enough lawn to justify a rotary spreader.*
When you’ve waited to eat and you feel satisfied after the meal. 👌🏼
One Lawn 2 Learn 🤘🏼
So glad to have a new video to watch. Thanks for all you do! Looking forward to putting in a whole year with these lawn guides and additional tips to have an amazing and green lawn.
Thanks bro 👊
I put it down on my yard last spring at exactly 50 degree soil temps and at the medium rate of application and still had some crab grass in lawn (cool season PRG and KBG). I ended up just pulling it by hand when it popped up.
Just got my pre emergence and fertilizer for the season from YardMastery. Just waiting for temps to warm up to THROW’ER DOWN! and hope for the best!
Those Sandhill Cranes are a riot. Grew up around them in central florida - miss the squawk here in N. FL.
Good to see you back at it in 2021. God Bless you and our grass. 🐰 💩
Allen good to see you again sir, nice video and great information and I love that daylight is getting longer! 😀
I am noticing the sunset getting later and later too! I love it!!
Haven’t checked out LCN in ages! But it’s spring next month and I can’t wait to get in the gardens!
Happy New Year!!
Glad to see you back LCN. 2021 is going to be awesome!
Good morning. I've been watching your videos for a few years now and really appreciate all the info you've provided. 4 years ago I decided to try to have a nice lawn instead of going the "if it's green, mow it" method. I sodded the front yard with empire zoysia and the back with palisades zoysia. I'm in southeast Louisiana so my weather is very similar to yours. My 2 weeks of winter are likely over. I am ready to put down the preemergent, but I have scalping on the brain. I haven't ever scalped my lawn because it scares me. I know one should scalp zoysia every year and haven't done it yet and am not sure about when or how to do so. I know one of your videos last year, you stated you didn't want to scalp because of the torpedo grass threat, which I also have. It works its way into the beds and it's bad enough there, but the zoysia's thickness really helps with keeping it out of the lawn. I don't notice any of it right now though, so I'm wondering if it's a good time to scalp, or is this too early? While my lawn isn't brown in SE Louisiana, it's not quite green either. I would appreciate your thoughts and advice on scalping. Is now the time? What are you planning to do with your section of zoysia? Thanks again for all of your help.
Thank you for the info. Wish you all the best for the business. It is always nice to see the results of the hard work. Congrats.
Thank you!!!
Thanks for another timely video. Best of luck in 2021! I hope to see that warehouse of yours stocked up and turnover plenty of produces in the near future. 👍👍
Received my Prodiamine yesterday. Can't wait to "thrower down" here in North Carolina.
Excited for you guys at Yard Mastery! Big things are coming!
I’m excited to watch a video in my Yard Mastery Shirt. 😎
I felt so special. No I didn’t put it on before I watched it was a coincidence lol 👍🏼
hoorah thank you!!
@@Thelawncarenut that’s it ! I’m ordering my yard master shirt tonight!!
I'm getting excited again for this year. new house, new lawn, new beginning. bring on the vids Alan, and the hoping the podcast is coming back
congrats on the new house!!!
Great calibration advice! Thanks!!
I love your videos, and the knowledge that you impart! I just downloaded your app, and will be a customer shortly! Thanks!
Just bought my Prodiamine today! Cant wait for the season to begin!!
thrower down!
Great job showing and teaching!
Wait, why do I live in PA? That Flah-rida sky looks bea-utiful! Thanks for changing my lawn life in a good way!
my earthway spreader was tricky at first . throwing 3 pounds per grand was kinda tough. the holes were barely opened but as long as a little more goes down on some spots wont hurt i should be good
YASSSS! I have been waiting for this!!! I threw down last week! St. Augustine Fl.
now's the time, warming trend is here!
@@Thelawncarenut did the same last week with a blast of Iron in Fernadina
Happy New Year indeed. Can't wait to get back at it this year. While 2020 was weird, "it never got weird enough for me"
🤘👊
Loved this video because you're using the RB-60! Great info, especially the bit about doing the board first. I'm stocked and loaded with Prodiamine and ready to throw down!
hoorah!!! it's a good spreader, I do like it. will do a full review later in the season.
I’ve got the itch for doing some lawn care. Today I’ve been going through and watching old videos from Pete, Jake, John, and Ryan. This video is perfectly timed.
Just ordered my 45lb bag of Prodiamine! I’m watching you packing it up ready to ship it to Gainesville, Va. you can keep the rabbit poop I got plenty of that.
Hope you release some information on what to do with the signal grass (pull it out and sod or plug, or leave it and let the grass spread). I think most in the South deal with it.
Welcome back! Maybe I’m done with reruns 😂😂
How ironic, I was looking at your cool season guide, "pre-emergent strategy" p.54 on my phone when I got this video notification :D
I knew it !!
Lol. The Sand Hill Cranes we have in SW MI walk up to us at the halfway house on a local golf course looking a meal....
Dude I was pulling out crabgrass today while mowing! It’s like ya knew!
That is some good teamwork there at the end!
T-shirt idea. One life to live one lawn to learn. 👍🏻
Next week ill be starting down here around San Antonio :) Need to cut my bermuda a tad just to make my lawn a little more "even" its at about 3" of dormant brown grass atm.
Wow so good to see you Allyn.....Seeing you and your Lawn is like an old friend my friend.....Good for the soul.
Prodiamine in Mid April for the Northeast(Lawn Temp 55deg.) I believe you taught us.
Any updates to the Cool Grass Lawn Plan and if so How do I get it??? I believe updates are free???
Need to see Warehouse update video....hint hint.....Next video???? Maybe?
Love the Caddyshack clip! Throw err down!! Great video. Very informational.
Just clicked go on my order so I am ready. Now we wait for the temps.
thanks bro!! won't be long now.
I just bought the Prodiamine WDG as my first official act of lawn care for 2021. Am three-ish months from being able to apply, but damn that felt good!
nice!!
It’s really hard to push this spreader through 5” of snow ❄️ According to my notes from last year. I still have to wait till around the 1st of may to get soil temp of 50°- 55°..
Oh man ... can spring be far away? Happy New Year! Still have green lawns (for those that are actually fertilizing) up here in Pinellas County. Thanks for the great video as always!
oh yeah, we are on the warming trend now, winter is over for us!!
Im in central Florida (Daytona). Ill put down some scotts bonus s weed&feed on February 15th followed by a Spring and Summer of milo and another bag of Scotts bonus s in October.
dude, you have a good sense of humor!
Unite us Brother Allyn!!!!! We need you Brother.
Love it bro! Awesome tips as usual! 💪🏻
Wow, I didn't know my fert was hand packed by the LCN himself. No wonder it glows when i open the bag 😄 Thanks guy!
ha ha!!
Wow Allyn that is looking Green(2Ksq ft area)!!!
LCN is back on the block! Dynamite!
HNY and welcome on back. 🤙🏼
Thanks bro ,👊🤘
I’m ready to throw it down on top of my powdered water. Getting some more powdered water Monday night!
Happy healthy new year 🙏🏽
you too Charlene!
Great video Allyn. Definitely the right time of year.
Oh thanks for the spreader guide, I just can't figure the pd per ft. and how to set.
Love the channel, been watching for a bit to prepare for my new house!
Would love some advice - Just built a house with brand new sod last week. There's plenty of conflicting information on how often and long to water it. Any advice? Entire lawn is irrigated.
Did nothing for our burweed issue so I can only assume it's from the prodiamine granular being too weak. Put it down early October and now backyard is full of burweed again. Just had to lay down 2,4D + Dicamba to kill it off again before it seeds.
I was the laughing stock of my neighbors and now I dominate!!! Thanks to the LawnCareNut...
way to go!!
Happy 2021 LCN! Glad you're back, the 2020 lawn was domination at its finest so thank you for that. Question for ya - Here in Northern VA we I get a lot of Henbit and Spotted Spurge in addition to crabgrass. Does prodiamine target those at all and if not, what do you recommend? Take my money!!!
God I wish the weather was warm enough to throw er down! Current soil temp is 27 degrees. I can't wait to get back into the lawn!
before you know it, you will be back out and enjoying the mow, and the throw!!
@@Thelawncarenut And hope for the best :)
Thanks Allyn!
2021 has officially started. The LCN is back.
hoorah!! 👊
I’ll be ordering soon 👍
I like a drop spreader vice the other thrower one.
Oh boy I hope I get my order packed by you. Maybe the lawn gods will bestow some blessings upon me
👊😂😂
Love your vids! I'm new to Florida, this is my first winter down here. I have St. Augustine grass and think I got fungus a couple months ago. Will the grass some back in the spring like I'm used to up north?
Great video! I use the visual cue too, to see if my opening is big enough for the granules. I’m in Massachusetts and don’t have a big crabgrass problem, will I still need to make two applications?
Thank you!!!
NAiled it!!!! 2LBS left!!!!
I was watching your cameo on the Millennial Farmer and thought..... 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 When will LCN put out a new video and the heavens opened up here it is
I'm right down the street from you. I can see the light, the sun finally coming back. This week, I start crankin on my lawn again! By February 14th....It's game on! Get your grass kickin and start your Spring veggie garden. Oh...one more thing. You can eat those sand hill cranes....and no more noise and pecking on your car.
I've heard they are called "Ribeye of the Sky" lol
Excellent video broken down for beginners like me. Only one recommendation, I think you would benefit with an independent microphone. When you have the camera in selfie mode the sound is so much better than facing out. So when you're behind the camera the sound isn't picking you up as well. It's understandable, but when you face the camera the sound is much better. An independent clip on mic might make it more equal?
Wonderful video. What box store alternatives could we apply as a pre-emergent at this time?
Yet another season!
Great video!
Do you recommend aerating before fertilizing?
I have St. Augustine in zone 8. Thanks in advance!
Also, I'm glad to know I'm not the only one breathing hard after pushing the spreader
Happy 2021 to you. I am new to southern lawns and was interested in sod but I know a lot of soda are muck based and most of the land in Florida is sand based. Would sand base sods work better in those situations rather than muck based sod and what’s the different. Not sure if you ever talked about this in a video and if you did I’d love to hear and know the differences before I buy the wrong sod and waste hundreds and thousands of dollars lol
Can you do a video in how to take soil temps? How deep can I go? Do I take 5 reading and average them? Just questions like that.
Top 3-4". Take it in several spots and average. Night and day too. Or just get my app and we give it to you free. Search "yard mastery"
