There's 4 years and a pandemic in between the video for G.O.A.T. and Playing God which is why they look so drastically different (mostly). If you were to follow them normally then the change was actually quite gradual. Tim got his tattoos over time and even the neck tattoo started as a smaller tattoo that grew in size. Also, to answer your question they do play with some sort of track for the songs that include samples like G.O.A.T.
This Band is a Rabbit Hole. Once you have heard everything there is to hear from Polyphia, then you get to check out all the other prodigies out there covering Polyphia tunes on every instrument that you can transpose to. The amazing that just keeps on amazing. I like how you included your personal bloopers at the end ... cute !!! 😄😄😄
The song GOAT is the conclusion song to their album “New Levels, New Devils” in the song they each get a sort of solo and a chance to shine, the transitions into the red atmospheric church and white clothes then back to the light atmospheric church in dark clothes is probably just to showcase their statement “we are Polyphia and when we take things to new levels we encounter new devils and we will overcome them”. So many people I know said how could they top this song GOAT? It’s not possible, blah blah blah. Beginning of May 2022, Playing God, that’s how they topped it. Polyphia is band that is constantly breaking the barrier of what many people perceive as the limits of guitar playing. Scott, Tim, and the Clays are just musicians that want to keep playing music that pushes them and challenges them to break out of the box of categories and genres. People called them metal before, but they had so many hip hop influences (even GOAT was inspired by a Jaden Smith song) and now they are playing Nylon because Tim was impressed by his fans covers of GOAT and also decided to include a genre switch in the middle of the song to Bossanova. These guys are just insane musicians and we are here to experience the journey of the evolution of music with them
Scott and Tim are both playing Ibanez AZ models. They're both Ibanez artists and have been for years and they both got signature models not long after this video dropped.
I think in the beginning of Playing God, they're in a museum. But it does look churchy. I also love that you're down the rabbit hole. There's so much polyphia content out there. Covers on different instruments are great too. There's some amazing artists out there.
The into synth is a preset from the omnisphere synth vst which is commonly used in trap music. With lots of effects and automation on it to get some really great sound.
Polyphia is from another world bro, that guys do ANYTHING, mix a lot of styles, is technical as fuck and it as beautifull as ur first girlfriend bro and it sounds ORIGINAL. IN 2022. WTF.
The opening chimes are done with a digital plugin called omnisphere? There is a bell chime they are using in the opening and in fact throughout the entire song.
To understand how they get their sample sounds, you should check "Archetype" on Tim Henson channel's ( And maybe review it to show widely the possibility of such tech). It's a software effects/amp modeling that you can customize deeply for the. The video is kind of a commercial of the feature, but with Henson playing it and the typical amazing video producting, it rendered really really nice.
Tim and Scott are playing Signature Ibanez guitars...In Playing God they are Playing Signature Ibanez nylon string Acoustic Electrics designed with the musicians and are not available to the public yet.
If you are looking for other highly skilled or noteworthy musicians to react to Polyphia have invited other musicians to play songs with them (they are on Polyphia's UA-cam channel labelled featuring ), it will lead to new music and in a few cases unusual techniques.
G.O.A.T. is an acronym standing for Greatest of all times. I think you should react to Look but don't touch next. You'll also be shoked by the video LOL. Nice reaction!
So why would you all be expecting music to be without lyrics? Movie scores are music. Classical music is music. Music doesn't need vocals to be music, periods.
Last video, "i've never heard of polyphia", this video. 3:57 - "Tim didn't have a neck tattoo here". What a slip up... now you know the players by first name... At least be honest about your reactions dude... You clearly know about these guys... You're just capitalizing off their stuff now that playing god came out.
Why is it strange that I know their names in the 2nd reaction? If you saw my first reaction to Playing god, you saw I was very impressed, so doing a little bit of research on them after that for the second video because I was intrigued isn't weird at all, I think. I didn't do any research before playing god, with the purpose of having a completely new experience. I had never heard about them before playing god what so ever.

Playing god took place at Huston City Hall. Hearing you comment on the bass knowing the solo coming got me excited for you

I thought it was a bank or maybe a state building?
It was filmed in the Great Hall in the Hall of State Building, Fair Park, Dallas
Greatest Of All Times : Goat

its the y2k producer tag
So good thank you for checking out more Polyphia!
Clay probably uses a midi drum pad as part of his kit live. Some of the hats are samples as well.
Great pick for the 2nd song of Polyphia bro :)
Goat stands for greatest of all time

speaking of incredible musicians, react to "Charles Berthoud - when POLYPHIA only give you 60 seconds to audition" video is 59s long lol
Tim actually has an awesome video on his channel about how he built the track behind this song

Also, they weren't in a church for the beginning of Playing God. If I'm not mistaken, that's the State building in Houston, Texas.
You gotta check out aviator by polyphia. Jason Richardson features.
That’s the only Polyphia song I don’t like and I LOVE them 😅
During live performances Clay drums does play the sampled tracks on his kit. Sounds almost identical.
G.O.A.T - Greatest Of All Time
Clay, the drummer, probably uses triggers on his drums and then add some sampling to the mix.
Fire🔥😎🤘
check out OD next!!
imagine if the captions for their videos are just chords
Quality reaction! peace
2 sides like heaven and hell 😀
Tim and this new musicians are awesome, like Tossin ...talk about Tossin u need to react matt Garstka.
So the G.O.A.T. thing I've heard in mma. Greatest
Of
All
Time.
Don't know if that their reference or not.
🌴✌🌴
Please see Sindy Purbawati UA-cam collab with Alip Ba Ta about Original Song "Kepangku Kapang.".. 👍👍
Annnnd there is "Nasty" from Polyphia, as a musician , I would recommend this one as last one ( even if the rest is really good :) ).
G.O.A.T. is an acronym standing for Greatest of all times.

Nice reaction!
I believe G.O.A.T. is a reference to Greatest Of All Time, although I can't confirm that
Live they play over a track for those sounds.
[🎵Music] - it didn't feel the same without the caption so I had to improvise.
Listen goose by polyphia also 🤤
Don't tell him about O.D guys
Its just easier to say Clay drums and Clay bass. lol
