You make it look so easy lol. I’ve been playing for a couple of months now and I just tried my shot at veteran Maelstrom arena. I probably died over 50 times between the ice lake round and the Argonian poison round. Those two are so difficult for me. I’ve been trying to complete it for a few days on my mag Templar and just turning it off when I get too frustrated then picking up where I left off the next day. I’m on the final round of the final level and it’s just as annoying as the other rounds, but your video has helped a lot.
I really like how each round has its own section. Rounds 7 and 9 are easily the ones I've struggled with the most as they have so much stuff to deal with.
Your guide helped with everything. 1st timer doing vet on anything. I laughed at the spider robot boss fight because I didn’t know how easy it was to fight the boss by just staying underneath it to avoid it’s lightning attack. I kept dying at that part until I watched your video 😂👍🏾

Well today was my first attempt at vMA, I was kinda scared off with my abysmal early attempt at vVH, but back then I think I used to be scared of Skeevers! :P Anyhoo wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but man I did struggle with stages I thought would be a breeze and caked the ones I thought I'd struggle with! Maybe phycological!! I almost rage quit with that tranquil favourite The Poisonous Puddle, 300 maybe 400 deaths and two keyboards later I cleared my mind, meditated and tried again. You see there is a famous Scottish legend by the name of William Wallace who, while hiding out from the vile English in a cave after suffering a defeat watched a wee spider trying to make a web. It kept falling but was it deterred? Did it give in? Did it want to smash its keyboard? Nope, no it didny! For it just went right back to the start and did it again and again until it accomplished the feat. And Oor Wully Wallace coined the phrase 'If as first you don't succeed, try, try again. So I did and I did and now I have to do it another 78 times as sure a shit the weapon I am after will be the last one I obtain.
I'm impressed how easy you made Vault of Umbrage look. It took me like 20 tries to get past it the first time between the high DPS archers, the boss's one-shot bite attack, and the horrible mushrooms. Was a lot easier after looking at the video and realizing the mages were casting a shield for MY benefit oddly enough. Also it's weird but your Vault stage is *considerably* brighter than mine. Is there a day/night cycle to Maelstrom Arena?

I just came back to ESO after leaving before the perfected maelstrom change. Walked happily into vMA on my new Stamfcro and furiously exited just over 2 hours later with Perfected Inferno and Perfected Frost staves held high overhead. 1237 CP Briarheart, Pale Order Ring, VO, 1 pc Slimecraw.

Im using a templar one bar build, which makes it really easy. Everything melts, and the super simple build lets me focus on mechanics. The only thing thats hard is the final boss on the ice round. I guess its just a matter of finding a good method. All my clears so far on this boss have just been yolo zergs where I was saved by the jesus beam.
I was literally looking for this guide lol thanks a lot! I want to give it a try but my build is not perfect yet. How would a bow/bow build perform here compared to traditional mag/stam toons? My guess would be easier than stam because of range (e.g trolls, venomcallers) but harder than mag because of using the same pool for dodge and primary skills.
Bow/bow does alright to be honest. The range is nice but most of the mobs are melee so you'll need to use caltrops/hail/bombard to nuke them as they approach. It's not going to get #1 leaderboards but you're probably not interested in that.
I don't have any issue with Normal with my stam NB- DW main and bow backbar i can completed easy now getting much better at it, but now on Vet the Ice stage is where I get stuck, I do have a Mag/Temp/High elf but low level might have to try this out when i get it higher level. Nice video
I hate the overflow of mechanics these bosses have sometimes. The final phase of the last boss just has too much to deal with. The roaming ghosts, the summoners, the gold ghosts, the daedroth, his attack you need to interrupt, the skull he shoots that you need to block or roll, all while having to manage your recourses that are already below 25% anyway. It just feels too overwhelming

I did it at CP 250 with Crafty Alfiq on a Magcro. Regarding the final boss, if you focus on the adds and keep a reasonable distance (without ignoring his interrupt and dodge) the boss will go passive. Honestly Vateshran made me see the developers weren't just going for artificial difficulty when they made Maelstrom.

I'm running burning spellweave and mothers sorrow gold and divine , got inferno maelstrom(not perfected) , and mothers sorrow inferno , both gold , do you reckon this gear is good enough?
Maybe i wasn't paying enough attention but i feel like you could have explained mechanics a bit more. I think you skipped a lot of stuff that can be important for new players especially those who play melee. Also using synergies is prolly a good idea if you don't care about score.
Would you have any interest in making a stamblade guide for vMA? Having just "learned" (read: muddled through) vMA on my own stamblade, I would love to see an actual (current patch) guide from the POV of that class. There are none. Literally zero. There are a couple weird flex/speedrun videos that don't explain anything about their build or what they are doing, but that's it. I'm trying to improve my vMA capabilities, but 90% of the stuff in all these magick based guides doesn't apply to my own experience in the arena. And with every single beginner's guide focusing on magick based builds, it's really hard for me (and probably others) to find solutions to the stuff that is still causing me trouble. Maybe the solution is "don't play stamblade" but I can't help it. I find the class interesting.
I run Vicious Ophidian, New Moon Acolyte and Ring of Pale Order. You could replace New Moon Acolyte for Briarheart for even more survivability. If you don't have Ring of Pale Order, I wouldn't even run vMA until you get it. It's a game changer.

Great guide but.. anyone who struggle in arena probably struggle due to low dps. And since you burn too fast trough it, there is not much to learn from it apart from interupt, avoid, block..
if you can make it past the volatile poison without dying it's gg it's disgusting how hard some levels are then other levels are so easy they could be made harder
As a stam necro I can't get past the ice stage no mattter what guide or build i use. The end game trials content is too hard for anything except the top 3 meta classes. That or nerf iwin templar and the other 2 down to the ordinary peon levels so you guys know the struggle of not playing a meta class and race. I love ESO dungeons I love eso trials but the solo arena's and pvp are this game's biggest weakness right now now and probably always will be. Ah well FUCK it I am mostly unimpressed with ESO and its offerings this year anyways this is my last 6 months when sub runs out I'm perma leaving as this games balance is terrible even in pve now.
Vma is easy beside lvl 5 boss.. and depending were poison is on lvl 7 boss.. lvl 5 boss i just constantly run from ice platform to platform and not just stand on 1 untill he destroys it. doing heavys and preys while my pets do all the damage it works for me...
Must be nice being a magic build for this dumbass arena. My stamina gets depleted instantly from all the dodging and blocking along with trying to sustain plus do damage

Did it first time today. Spent 2 hours there and died countless times... but hey I did it. And it was refreshing. Normal mode is way too easy now

Just for a CHANCE at the weapon you want but will most likely not get! The weapon doesn't even justify the difficulty or should I say pure annoyance.

I did that one on normal last night and I kept getting the pieces I already had. Seriously annoying.

Yeah mainly I do these runs on Twitch because it would be small viewership if I did just a specific class. But I'll consider it!

To a Templar? Use bloodthirst and Rending Slashes and you have good healing on any stamina class.
