Three months ago, Zack and Matt called the Bentley GT Speed the "best car ever made," which was based on a number of factors: quality, materials, performance, dynamics, and ride. Obviously. at $300,000+, it's not the value proposition, but nothing labeled "best ever" really is. But we'd argue that the four-door Flying Spur Speed is actually even better. Sharing the same underpinnings but with more usable rear seat and trunk room and arguably even prettier styling, the Flying Spur Speed reminds us that whether you choose to ride or drive, this is essentially the best vehicle ever built.

This has been my absolute all around dream car since the 1st gen Continental Flying Spur came out in 2005, but this 3rd gen checks all the boxes even more like Matt said. Such a beaut.

Recommend ceramics if you’re blasting down the autobahn on a daily commute at full steam otherwise forget it the brakes are the best I’ve ever used ( with my limited experience).
That stone venier dash was surprisingly cheap. The B7 Alpina dashboard with all the custom leather trims costs $62-$7400 dollars and has no stone anywhere near it and its made of plastic!
The cheat code is you can get a 2020 model year Flying Spur w12 with 5k miles, 320k sticker, for $200k even. For me, the spec matters. Gotta have a hotspur interior and Naim stereo. The rest is optional

I'm the dude bringing a machanical keyboard to the office. Mechanical button switches are so much more satisfying than the rubber dimple but it takes a lot of time to retrofit mechanical switches flush where the wasn't although I've been doing it on all my project cars. You can't tell until you hit the switch but it is so satisying once you do.

That green looks absolutely fantastic with the bronze wheels. It’s easily the best looking full size sedan on sale. As to the question of, “is it worth it?” If you can afford it and it makes you happy, then it’s worth it.

@@arottenmango8505 For the tiny number who can afford it and want it, hopefully they'll find it is worth it. Prospective buyers should not concern themselves with the depreciation. If they do, then they are the wrong audience.

My 2018 Mazda 3 GT hatch has a turning radius of just under 35 feet.
36'3" for this beast of a car is OUTSTANDING. You can really see the 4 wheel steer at work when you're turning at low speeds in a tight U-turn like that.

Why not opt for ceramics on a car this price. Besides ceramics dont dust.
Ceramics can be noisy and the brake feel can be something less than refined - which is not what you really want in an ultra-luxury car.

Even in the Mercedes and Subaru, I'm just expecting more from the makers of the head units. Can you see the dials with the steering wheel in the cruise position?

Love the interior of the Bentley and the reasonable screens, this is why I went the Panamera route verses BMW or Mercedes. The Panamera dash and front layout is similar to the Bentley. Obviously the Bentley would be ideal, but unfortunately my current bank account status does not align with my taste in cars. With that said, I completely love the Panamera.
At least your porsche won't accelerate on its own and kill you and your wife in a fiery high speed crash. German>british engineering

I still miss Aston’s Rapide. Whether Ghost, Flying Spur, 7 series….all very gaudy. If I really had to go 4door, I’d take a Panamera Turbo S Exec for $200k. Not exactly the prettiest either but exciting engine, same transmission, amazing handling and under the radar. And talk about going crazy with Exclusive options…can you get leather wrapped air vents in the Bentley? 😂

The CT5v Blackwing is the peak super sedan for me. You literally get it all. You won’t ever tracks Bentley or can. But you can track a Blackwing

You don’t have to “justify” your expenditure to anyone. After paying your societal obligations through taxes imposed by your society you “owe” strangers absolutely nothing. Spend your legally obtained post-tax money any way you want.
