No thanks. I'll rather buy a used tundra v8 with 100k miles for 40k than a new tundra for 55k. I just dont want to take a chance on my engine falling
I’m with him. I’ve heard enough on the Internet with all the issues with the 3.4 V6 turbo going all the way back to 2018 with Lexus, and I’ve actually got a neighbor two doors down that’s having issues with his tundra and I wouldn’t touch a new Toyota with a 10 foot pole.
I will say, the 3.4l V6 twin-turbo in my ‘20 LS 500 F-Sport has been flawless and I’ve pushed it at higher speeds for sustained periods of time on Interstate trips! Realize that engine was assembled in Tahara Japan factory, but can’t be that different from its Texas built Tundra cousin! I don’t doubt Tundra’s engine & trans, it’s the fit & finish and lack of quality cabin materials (QDR) that leave me in doubt.😬
@@bobbyb.1743 Glad to hear you are an outlier. I have a 2006 LS 430 and it is hard to say no to a Lexus LS. They are the best car ever made.
@@SuperSnakePlissken couldn’t agree more- I’d still be driving my ‘08 LS460 if I hadn’t totaled it. Your LS430 is commonly considered the best of all of them - hang on to that beast!!
@@bobbyb.1743 Sorry to hear about yours getting totaled. My parents bought it brand new in late 2005, and I bought it from them in 2018 when they were ready to downsize their vehicle. Luckily we all live in Texas so it is still completely rust free, never had an accident, and I always park in the very back of parking lots.
Is the recall only the iforce max or not?
The recall is certain 22/23 Tundras, non hybrid. As of now
@@TundraDude34 found a 22 PLATNIUM IFORCE MAX WITH 12k mile for $57k…good price or not?
@lennyperry6210 its a decent price from what ive seen but i would be careful with the 22s. They had quite a few issues.
I never been a fan of brown trucks but that smoked mesquite is perfect for 1794 if only it still had that old school v8
For a year now, i have been saying these are 15-20K overpriced. I have been laughed at many times and said it would never happen. You see we are 4k to 9k away from landing where I said they must be. So hold on, they are coming down 4-9 k more.
You sir, are correct!!👊🏻
@@bobbyb.1743 I appreciate the agreement. Toyota is going to have to get honest and start pricing the Tundra and Taco way more reasonable.
Well Toyota has a lot of trucks to fix. Big recall on the V6 turbo. I think sales will be down.
I May test drive it…haven’t driven this gen yet
No a lot of these are bait and switch when you call the dealership it’s lot more than quoted online so don’t get your hopes up your better going with a broker for a deal
$1000 doc fee
$1000 child support fee
$1000 stripper fee
$1000 hooker and blow fee
$1000 I gambled my paycheck fee
$3000 the owner’s yacht fee
Discount? What discount? 😂
Good content
Damn that kinda ticks me off, my platinum TRD was 68,200 in December now it's 10 k less. Probably would've been able to buy versus lease
Get you a nice naturally aspirated V6 or a V8 with reasonable miles.
Do you think they will be making deals with the iForce MAX engine Tundra’s? Yes I would definitely buy a premium version instead of trying to build up an SR5, if it’s not $65K
Some dealerships are making big deals on max tundras. Koch 33 in easton pa certainly is
Thank you Mark!
I would take that tundra platinum or the 1794 at that price.
Yes sir, as would I👍🏻
Hold out for another 3 years watch them gets desperate and really drop price 😂
Been seeing way too many videos with people knocking build quality and having a lot of other quality control issues. What is your honest take on those issues as an owner? And how soon might you upgrade? Did you hear anything about the 2026 refresh?
I addressed that in my livestream a couple days ago. Check it out!
@@TundraDude34 sounds good! I would love to stay in a Tundra down the road but right now I only have 2 more years to pay on my Lunar TRD PRO. 2021. I STILL get compliments in that truck almost daily. Love that V8 and 3 years in im
Only at 32k miles so I’ll be driving it for quite a while longer ;) if God allows it.
@@andyloya908 dude, keep that Lunar! That is a super sweet truck
@@TundraDude34 i’m in love with it still 3 years in. I’m a simple guy. Love 4X4 option and reliability. Came from a 2011 Taco that I also loved! Lol so I’m hoping Toyota figures this stuff out.
You’ve exactly what I’m looking for in a 21 Tundra! Agree w/ Mark, don’t DX that bad-boy, keep it!!
Now were getting bsck down towards reasonable prices. The top trim loaded trucks shoukd be in the mid 50s.
Mark, love the enthusiasm for the plummeting prices. Definitely not seeing that in Tulsa, Ok. Two dealerships here are still in the fleece mode - it’s ridiculous. I’ve just about resigned myself to going out of state, specifically, the Lone Star State👍🏻👍🏻. Appreciate you!
Hoping these deals come to NJ...been holding off for quite some time now
I filmed at Holman Toyota. Check in with them, they usually give great deals
I have been window shopping for a new Tundra and I have discovered that most high trim Tundras are being discontinued 10k plus, but an SR or SR5 not so much. I saw a 1794 Special Edition discontinued 8k. Pretty obvious the dealers are making great deals. If we wait for interest rates to drop, I’m sure the discounts will be far less. We should buy now and refinance when the rates drop. Trump 2024🇺🇸
Do toyota dealerships make you pay, window tint, nitrogen, door guards, etc.??
Not all, but definitely some. I see that a lot in NJ
Yes. It's so silly. I just laugh
Within the next 2 months I'm planning on purchasing a truck, if someone close to me is doing 10k+ discount, I'll have to consider a tundra now. I wasn't considering one to begin with.
Yes. Window tint at your local tint shop is like $300. Toyota dealer will charge you $700
I just checked out the same truck at that Peter Boulware dealership and it looks like it 2k more than when the video was made at 61,432 😂😂😂 they saw the vid and caught themselves
I have a question I'm researching the Tundra what engine do you think is the more reliable of the two engines Iforce or the iForce Max
They are same engine. One is augmented by the battery for extra power and/or smoothness.
They are exactly the same engine with the MAX having all the hybrid gear and battery. It has to be the the regular iforce.
They're the same engine. The I force Max is a hybrid. long term, go with regular Iforce
Neither
more reliable get a used 4.6 or 5.7 tundra (lol), these hybrids and turbo combo technology are too new to see if they will have long term reliability it will take a good 5-8 years to see what guys and gals are reporting so far on you tube these new turbo Tundra's I'm not sold on them yet. But if you really want the new one i would prob get non hybrid i would personally get the last year 2024 ram with the hemi over this tundra, i would even buy chev or ford with v8 over the new tundra
They had the best engine in the world and just pissed it away. for nothing.
All the V8s are going away, not just on Toyotas. What an ignorant comment.
Government emissions standards are what you should be mad at Mr Wall
Didn't toyota tear down that million mile truck so they could improve the new one. It was a fail
@@TundraDude34 Wait a minute. Isn't the Nissan Titan still pumping out the V8?
@alderringer8816 this is the last year of Titan
I’m good with my 2004 SR5
What about sequoias? Those prices coming down at all?
Not yet but give it a couple of months. The used 2023 and 2024 are sitting on lots for long periods of time.
Why would anyone buy a new gen sequoia. Not worth it.
It’s not 11000 off they have 3500 dollars worth of fees
I use the Auto trader app when looking for vehicles. I see Limited trim 2024 year models all day for 55,000+. That being said I see SR5 trim same year Tundra for the same price. These are NEW NOT USED. I would take the Limited at that price. Is that normal or are these good deals?
I guess it depends on how the Limited is built, but thats not bad. I paid 58k for an SR5 dcab TRD
The lower prices and more inventory proves that they had too many people running out paying the over price of these trucks. It's why you let the 'pawns' go first. LOL! Case in point, I live here in Texas where the the Tundras are manufactured and there's no Capstones available to purchase in the whole Gulf Coast States. Why? Because no one was buying them! I've said it before....these trucks are legitimately about $10K (if not a little more) too high. I bet the pricing will definitely go down as the 2024 model year closes out or at least continue to offer special low interest financing. Bottom line is that as long as we keep overpaying for them, the prices will remain high. There are deals to be had....you just have to be patient like I am.
I can hardly wait for a shop to 5.7 swap a new tundra. Someone will figure it out and sell a ton of them.
I specifically wanted a limited non hybrid.. got 6k off
If this is happening to the tundras it’s gonna happen to the tacomad
Need intrest rates to come down some more
In some locations they're offering 1.9% for 48 months. It would help but you're still talking about a lot of money
In few months, we will most likely see $16k discounts on those expensive trims, which I think people should look at. Why bother to buy a Limited or SR5, when you can get loaded Platinum/1794 for $60k. While I hate the new Tundra, it is still the best 1/2 ton truck out there.
These 10 thousand dollar discounts finally make the truck worth it.
Not really.
Only if you have the time to have your engine replaced because it blew up.
V6 Tundra? Are you stranded? Need a tow? Let me know, I got a V8 SR5 TSS Offroad.
Hey man can you send me the link to this truck thanks the platinum trd
I just traded my 2022 on a 2021 to many problems
Wise decision
Give me $50k for my 21 Nightshade and I’ll take a Platinum.
In SA Texas were they are made, lots are full and average of 7k off, previous gen is holding their value way better than this gen, not looking good for Toyota
Damn cheaper then tacoma pro and trailhunter.
Im gonna keep my 2018 Rav4.
Not surprised...
Look at trouble with engines some trucks on 3rd engine No thnx
These trucks are not Toyota quality but 2021 to 2007 are working fine
They are not selling them. Most Toyota dealerships are over stocked with Tundras.
Spot on!
2023 was the 4th best sales year all time for Tundra, best since 2008. 2024 is on pace to be #2 all time.
We are back to pre covid inventory levels, meaning Toyota wants Tundras on the lot. Replenishment is almost back to normal (pre 2020). If your area doesn’t sell Tundras well, that doesn’t mean its not selling well in other places.
@@TundraDude34 Could be true, the dealership around my area, South Jersey, has 15 23's (Tundra's) on the lot, with about 10 24's.
What lot?
@@TundraDude34 just took mine in for the transmission update recall and they had twice as many Tundras as any other model on the lot. I’ve had mine for six months and I love it. That being said I hope it holds up and doesn’t grenade.
Garbage front bering failure $25 000 dollar repair Lexus motors also failure 🎉❤❤❤❤❤
If that happens, is it's covered under their 5yr 60k powertrain warranty.
Didn't toyota tear down that million mile truck so they could improve the new one. It was a fail
@@samochoa6733
Guy that owned the million mile tundra already has over 900,000mi. on his replacement Tundra. Cant beat the '07-'21Tundra's.
